Having 2 processors isn't necessarily twice as good but in many situations they do offer significant advantages. Their additional power can be crucial in applications like video editing or CAD. The real advantage of dual processors comes when you multitask.Take note that some software run slower in dual core processor PC than in a single processor PC.

for antivirus i use NOD32, for spyware and adware i use both AdAware and Spybot Search & Destroy, i don't really need more than that, and all of them are free too ^^

if you want more than just a converter, try audacity [google it if you wanna download, its free]you can convert music to several formats and you can edit them too, cut or add effects and stuff. its not good enough for professionals but its more than enough for me since i'm a newbie ^^ you can try it out if you're interested, no pain in doing so

basically what download managers do is they manage your downloads. lets say you want to download 10 files at once, a download manager will help you organize them. it will download a few at a time and the remaining ones will be put in queue. well its up to you, most download managers allow you to change the settings. another thing download managers do is make multiple connections to the server you're downloading from, each connection downloading seperate parts of the file you want, thus you can download files faster..however some sites like rapidshare don't allow multiple connections.fire fox's download manager is literally just a download manager..it jus shows you your downloads so it does'nt get cluttered up..and the most you can do is cancel or pause it. some download managers i recommend are: Download Accelerator Plus and FlashGet, if you're interested, google them for more info

i recommend filezilla, easy to use and its free...if you only hav one or two files to upload then webftp is fine as well...if you're tryin to upload whole folders and you want to retain the directory structure, webftp is jus hopeless, use filezilla. you can google it and get the download link

i say opera! good interface, fast, efficient, user friendly, some nice functions...it was rated as one of the best too ^^ if you're lookin for a new browser to try out, try opera, its great! no hassle n easy to use*forgot to add, i just LOVE the mouse gestures, its convenient and fun XD

Ragnarok Online 2: Gate of the World from what i saw from some sites, its full 3D, graphics not too bad, they improved the gameplay somewhat and also introduced new systems. However i'm not too sure on the details. looks great though. i heard its already out in korea..or was it japan. if you would like some info about it, you can check out wikipedia. anyone has any info on when the english version is coming out? i really want to try it.

silkroad is a really nice game..but i quit, i was experiencing too much lag and the server i played on..well to me it seemed a little overcrowded..and i didn't like it, i prefer less busy servers ^^a free game i know of..but have never tried is Fly For Fun, or FlyFFit doesn't look too bad though, maybe you could giv it a try and share your experience with the rest of us~another game..well...its 2D, but still fun to play if you have some free time or you're just too bored...yeap, maplestory, i play on maplesea..just started on the cassopeia server. maplesea is for south east asia only, but there is maple global, not to sure if thats free though.come on people, any other free mmorpgs? i'm interested as well!

i say Final Fantasy 7! the remaked version. the story is great, the gameplay not bad..but i don't quite like the battle system, not sure if they changed it but the previous one was a turn based system. Now the remaked version has the great story and even better, kickass graphics! its almost on par with the animation quality of Final Fantasy: Advent Children the animation~ i don't think there's an official trailer for it yet, but if you want to take a look at the graphics, there is a tech demo for it that you can find on youtube.comhmm.devil may cry 4 is great too! go check out the trailer, i don't have the site but just google it, sweet~

leaving your computer on is not really a question of good or bad, it depends on what you leave it on for, and whether you're willing to accept certain things that might happenif your computer has sufficient cooling, then it won't do any harm to your pc to leave it on...however, if there is a thunderstorm, your PC might get fried, if not your PC then something else might. If there is a power failure, you might lose your data if your PC was in the process of doing something. Apart from that, there is the electric bill and monthly internet bill [if you leave your computer connected and you're not on a fixed rate plan].if you do want to leave your computer on, make sure you do have sufficient cooling. water cooling is great but a little pricy. fans and heatsinks are alright as well. some computers give you info regarding it's internal temperature, so if you want to see if your computer has sufficient cooling, try leaving it on for maybe 6-8 hours or longer and check on it. i think the normal temperature of a pc is between 40-60+ degrees centigrade, not too sure though, can someone clarify on that? if you live in an area where it doesn't rain often and power outages rarely occur, you have less to worry about as well.if you're leaving your computer on, i'm sure you have something that you want it to do, maybe a download or you're in a game, thats fine. However if you're leaving your computer on for nothing..i say just turn it off and don't waste your money!

I left my old computer on 24/7. I off it once a week. About a year later, i cant get my comp to start working becuz my motherboard failed to function due to some virus atk. Don't on your comp for more than 24 hours, that's my advice.
