The answer is simple, my favorite game of all times belongs to the Grand Theft Auto genre and to be specific its Vice city. I have played all of the games of the genre and till this date find Vice city best among the lot. Surely Sand andreas had better graphics and gameplay but still there is something about Vice city that makes it my favorite game of all time.

What Should Happen To The Drinking Age?
me_boxer_dude replied to jcreuter's topic in General Discussion
It wont make much of a difference anyways even if the age bar is lowered for drinking coz most of the young people are smart enough these days to get a way around. However on a second thought I think that the age bar should be lowered legally as thats the best the authorities can do to deter the youth from drinking. People would never stop drinking even if you make it costlier or whatever, still if you keep a check on the age limit atleast you are trying to convey the message that drinking is harmful for health. Personally I dont believe or rather dont want to believe the last line that I wrote. -
Hope you have the best of time with your new dog Purplekush, and yeah do make sure to post some pics of him. Cheers

Getting Free Cokes getting free cokes from coke machines
me_boxer_dude replied to fr0z3n's topic in General Discussion
I got to agree with most of the people who have already replied to the topic that stealing is wrong. Isnt it one of the commandments as well? We all have grown up in a society where we have been taught that stealing is wrong and I would stick to my belief as for now. Now coming to the fun/serious(depends where you are standing) part of it when I think over the fact that all of the above vending machine hacks are really the fault of the parent company only, it makes me wonder how much they(the big shots) would have lost because of the hacks(not too much I hope, infact it must be negligible). Anyways my advice to all those who are thinking of trying any such hacks should rather get a job and pay for what they need. -
Hi all, I never thought I would think about something like this but now I am actually replying to it. Its the uncertainity of thoughts/situations and how well we can handle them, the varied range of emotions, the ability to differentiate between whats good or bad for us(as individuals and for the whole society as well), and also our so called intelligence. We have the power to chose and the power to decide, this trait is shared by other species also but upto an extent which means they act upon their instincts rather than putting an active thought behind whatever they are doing and thats what I think makes us human.

The ability to gain weight depends linearly on your age group so it goes like age 15-20 could be extremely hard depending on your genetic map, age 20-25 hard but still can work towards it, age 25-30 easy to put on weight, age 30 onwards - you cant do much otherwise which means there is no turning back most of the times for most of the people. Anyways if you are really inclined towards gaining weight you could try consuming about twice the amount of calories you normally would consume and have plenty of rest however doing all this might result in you becoming fat so you better workout along with it as well.

I have seen vast difference of opinions in this forum in some other topics when it comes to 'Diet prefrences' however I think that we being humans have evolved in such a way that we can utilise almost anything as food(how efficiently our body utilises these food resources is a different topic altogether). Having said that I believe that we should eat what we feel like, and whatever it is(veg or otherwise) it should just NOT lack any vital nutrient. I agree that killing animals just to eat em is wrong somehow and its not just the suppresed guilt resurfacing, its something I have believed in all the time. I am on a meat diet more often than not coz its just the way it has been always for me. Finally I would like to say that if you wanna go for a Veg diet then just go right ahead but make sure that you DON'T miss anything, moreover a regular meat diet coupled with fruits and vegetables should make the best ever deal.

Hey zak92 if you are really keen on keeping your muscle mass then why dont you join any regular gym or something. Understood that you may not have that kind of equipments as you might need but still loose weights do more of work most of the times. (Trust me dude I've tried all gym equips and nothing beats plain old loose weights). I dont think it should cost a lot and quite honestly I dont even think that UAE(or wherever you are) wouldnt have decent gyms around. CYA around.

Are Vegetarians Smarter? Post Your Opinion....
me_boxer_dude replied to Misanthrope's topic in General Discussion
Just replying to give you a piece of my mind, personally I do think that diet must have some kind of effect on intellect and the thought process however I wouldnt go such far to say that vegetarians are smarter than us who are not. I totally respect all vegetarians coz I think that their life style might be healthier than ours but still Its something which would be extremely hard to give up. Thats all what I had to say.(I must admit this debate is getting more than its share of intelligent discussions and the points raised by both vegetarians and NONS are equally intelligent so doesnt that prove that we all are equal maybe?) -
Hi all, The issue was fixed after long hours of trying every possibility. I wasnt able to update the directx from directx 9.0b to directx 9.0c, so I did something which might seem a bit illogical but it worked great for me. I got hold of windows Xp service pack 3 and installed it in the D drive(C drive already has windows Xp service pack 2) So now my system is essentially a dual boot now. Yeah and about the service pack 3 it does come with directx 9.0c inherently(good for me). Now to sum it all up, the problems I started facing while trying to play F.E.A.R were because of incorrect version of directx all the time. Though I had to make my system go dual boot but quite honestly it was worth it.

I wont say that this is something new for me as I am already aware of most mass building techniques to speak of however I am just adding this reply to applaud your sincere efforts in the health and fitness section. Good work Yratorm, LightMage. Still one thing, what about the fancy costume and the exotic setup and all in the pics? Is that really you or have you taken the pics off of some site or something?

Eye Exercise And Bates Method Resource
me_boxer_dude replied to mongkol_14's topic in Health & Fitness
Wow it would be so great to have superman like vision just by doing some exercises(too good to be true). On a second thought I would rather go for laser surgery or something if such a need ever arises. -
(claims)world's Smallest Country For Sale
me_boxer_dude replied to Saint_Michael's topic in General Discussion
I agree with all, It seems rather silly to spend that kind of money on a Platform of metal. If I had that kind of money and were really hellbent on blowing it all over I would rather spend it on a nice small REAL island. The idea of declaring a metal platform an independent country is pretty funny though. -
I think I am close to find a working resolution, after long hours of fiddling around with all the possibilities it turns out that it was the directx version 9.0b which was creating all sorts of issues. F.E.A.R and most other games would only run on directx 9.0c. The fact is if you have to install Windows Xp professional SP 2 then you get the directx 9.0b installed with it and the problem comes up when you try to upgrade the directx version to 9.0 c. There appears to be a major bug in the installation package which when run checks the already installed version of directx on the comp and if it is 9.0b then it stops the updation there and then coz it only checks the first part i.e, before the decimal therefore it assumes 9.0b to be perfectly allright and doesnt update it.Now coming to the problem that comes after discovering the resolution to the initial issue. How do I update the directx version to 9.0c, as I said that if you have directx 9.0b its pretty hard to upgrade it to 9.0c because of the bug in the installation package. The only working resolution would be to uninstall directx 9.0b and revert back to directx 8.1 and then run the update to get the directx 9.0c, but this procesure requires the Windows Xp CD for the rollback/backup process and I seem to have misplaced mine. The other resolution which I got from somewhere apparently is to download both the directx 9.0b and directx 9.0c distribution packages and extract them in separate folders and then copy the 'cab' files from the 9.0c extracted folder to the 9.0b extracted folder and then run the dxsetup from the 9.0b folder and it should install the directx 9.0c. I am gonna try both the resolutions as soon as I get a chance.

As an added note , Yeah I did Google the entire error message to find out any possible fix for it but didnt get any working resolution to be precise. I tried changing the Desktop resolution to all available resolutions and it dint work either, I have already tried increasing the RAM from 512 to I GB to no avail. And yeah I have tried uninstalling the graphic card's drivers as well. I ran the dxdiag utility to see if there was any possible direct x issue and it told me that a certain "qasf" file was old and it might create problems so the next thing I did was downloading the latest available component but it dint work as well. And I have tried fiddling with the 3d acceleration utility in graphic card's control panel as well. I know I should be able to play the game w/o much issues because my comp meets all system requirements but still dont know what to do next. The only thing that comes to my mind now is that it has to be some sort of an incompatibility/driver issue rather than my system not meeting requirements.

Recently I upgraded my computer and got myself a dual core 2.8 ghz processor, Intel original 945 motherboard, Windows XP SP2, 512 Mb ddr2 ram , and an XFX GEforce 7600 gs card. Now the problem started when I tried to launch F.E.A.R it gave the message. "unable to initialize the renderer to a valid video mode". Now I know that most of my friends who are on lower configuration machines can play this game alright. I tried to google for some sort of resolution and what I've got to know so far is that it coule be some issue with Windows drivers or the Graphic card itself isnt capable enough (which I dont think ) Moreover, I can play most of other games w/o any issue . Still I am clueless as to what to do. SO I would appreciate any help.

The people from Rockstart have been developing really cool, Interesting games with repetitive playing value and I have been a great fan of all their games ever since I played Max payne a few years ago. I am waiting to try my hands in their new game Bully which I hope would be as good as their earlier ventures, I'll get it as soon I get a PC version.

I totally agree with Yratorm, LightMage. You must excercise different muscle groups on different days with plenty of rest inbetween. Also try to target one particular muscle group every day rather than following any rigorous routine coz you said that you are thin so you would definately require lot of rest for the muscles to regenerate. One more thing try also not to do excessive repetiotions instead go for heavy weights and low repetitions(not too heavy during the first month of your training) If you are able to get hold of weights/dumbells then you could try the following routine in the comfort of your home.Day 1 (Monday) : Chest (could include 2 sets of push ups x 20-25 reps each, 3 sets bench press x 8to10 reps each, 3 sets dumbell press s 8to10 reps, 3 sets dumbell fly x 8to10 reps )Day 2 (Tuesday) : Shoulders (Front shoulder press 3 sets x 8 to 10 reps, back shoulder press 3 sets x 8 to 10 reps, Front dumbell raises 3 sets x 8 to 10 reps, dumbell side raises x 3 sets 8 to 10 reps)Day 3 (Wednesday) : RestDay 4 (Thursday) : Back (latissimus dorsi et all) (3 sets chin-ups 8 to 15 reps, 3 sets Dumbell rowing 8 to 10 reps, 3 sets T-bar rowing 8 to 10 reps also try to do some leg exercises if you can on the same day which could include squats, Squats while holding dumbells, and dumbell lunges etc)Day 5 (Friday) : Bisceps/Triceps (3 sets bisceps curls 8 to 10 reps each, 3 sets dumbell curls 8 to 10 reps each, dumbell hammer curls 3 sets 8 to 10 reps each, dumbell triceps extension 3 sets 8 to 10 reps each, 3 sets dumbell behind neck triceps extension 8 to 10 reps each )Day 6 (Saturday) : RestDay 7 (Sunday) : Rest/Party As an added note make sure not to fatigue yourself too much while weight training if you want to gain weight/mass quickly. Make sure to have a good balanced diet including all kinds of proteins, vitamins and all.

The Perfect Exercise How about jogging
me_boxer_dude replied to electron's topic in Health & Fitness
I believe that just by changing yor day to day routine a little bit you can keep yourself fit, like instead of sitting in front of tv/computer all day if you could spend some time moving around while holding those fries back you could cut yourself a few kgs. You need to try to avoid those fried and fatty goodies and all and again try to consume wholesome fruits and vegetables and juices etc. Dont go for dieting coz its just a temporary solution and you tend to gain more weight once you start eating your normal diet. My suggestion to you is to start eating a healthier diet, start running/jogging for 45 mins 4 days a week in the morning, workout in gym 45 mins in evening every alternate day. If you follow the routine strictly keeping in mind the diet control hopefully you shall be able to attain the physique you have always wanted -
I Am Scientist And I Believe In God Believer Scientists
me_boxer_dude replied to kasm's topic in General Discussion
This topic/discssion I must say was started with a very different tone and note however It is getting increasingly interesting with every post, now that indicates that we(the members) here at Xisto are the most intellectual kind of people around as compared to most other forums. Now getting back to the topic, Yeah I do believe in God and I know he exists somewhere though we may not understand his natre of existence as he might not be anything like us. We might as well be a part of some alien social experiment or something but doesnt that make the Aliens our God.. Just kidding. Necessarily I believe that there is an entity that takes care of everything that goes around and its way of operation is far beyond our comprehension. As for us all we are just bengs who have been granted intelligence by HIM. PEACE FOR ALL. -
Wow now this story does tell me a thing or two about the virtue of keeping patience when 'it itself' is hard to find. I may not be an avid biographical artical reader but still I gotta tell you that truly its an awesome story so far to speak of it. Most of us lose our patience after failing in our attempts once or twice at the most but you have been rocking the free hosting world even after facing so many setbacks. Cheers for you man.

Now this is a particularly interesting topic, as for me I started drinking rather late at the mature age of 18 or something(I am 23 now) and now hardly goes a day when I am away from my DIET of Whiskey(with soda all the way). I tried Vodka, Gin, Rum but nothing compared to it. Its not that I wont drink them coz that would totally be a case of offending the booze gods(I cant dream of offending em), its just that I prefer the soothing and strong taste of whiskey over anything else.
