  1. Trap 17 doesn't physically run a server. It is provided by 'someone else'.
  2. Bungie would be slightly stupid to not make Halo 2 for Xbox-live. Being able to play with other people makes any game a bit of fun, even if it isn't all that good.
  3. It's a Quake III Arena clan, according to the topic description.
  4. I always test my scripts locally before sending them anywhere. If your server is configured differently, then change the configuration to match the host. You can find all the information you should need to match by calling phpinfo().
  5. When helping someone, please don't re-post exactly what another user has already said. It just makes it look like you're copying them. The Devils Playpen, as has been said, use either 'localhost' if you are running the scripts on the same server that MySQL is on, 'Xisto.com', or Trap 17's public IP address, which you should have been given when you got hosting.
  6. If you've ever visited Stick Death, they've got some pretty well-done (but very violent and adult-intended) stick-figure animations.
  7. Assuming you use JavaScript to pop-up ads or whatever, try in the 'onload' statement in the '<body>' tag, eg: <body bgcolor="x" text="x" onload="javascript:window.open('x');">
  8. Not bad. Who designed the phpNuke template?
  9. Excuse me...? What are you carrying on about, and who are you talking to?
  10. icleric, you could just use the 'Magic Wand' to select the entire background, and then do what you like with it. Nice pointers anyway.
  11. I think the question should be 'has anyone not read these books?'. I got the three in a boxed set a while ago, and on the back it says something to the effect of:
  12. I'm assuming you're Sasuke from Lurk's clan, [snD]. I won't go poking my nose where it doesn't belong, but I hope that he's authorised this site. Nice job with the Flash, by the way. The music is a little scratchy in the loop, but it's still pretty good. Who would pay money to be in a gaming clan?
  13. Everyone has their own tastes and preferences when it comes to color schemes. As for me, I think it depends on what the site is aimed at, and what sort of content it contains - some are better suited with light colors, and others with dark colors.
  14. odomike, you are granted one warning and one warning only: do not post on anything concerned with warez or other pirated media, or anything else illegal. The fact that you are aware that such actions are illegal makes it all the worse. Are you trying to bring trouble to Trap 17? Do not let it happen again.
  15. Well, that's what domain harvesters do. And they make damn good money.Basically, the more that the open-source.org gets visited, the higher the price will climb.
  16. Haha, I don't think so. Europe and the USA would probobly be pretty kneck-and-kneck in terms of this kind of technology. I think you'd find that it is pretty much the same everywhere - a lot of people might have fast Internet, but a lot more have it slow.I could be wrong though, I've never been to Europe.
  17. I only just became aware of this thread. What the...? templest, chill. I've been trying to stick up for you a bit in some of the forums, but if you are going to carry on like that, all support from my side will cease, buddy. All moderators help and support is much appreciated, but that doesn't mean you should go around shouting and swearing at everyone like you own the place. I've since been made admin, and I [or at least, I hope I do] show at least a little respect for other members and treat them like human beings, regardless of their status at these forums. I'm a little suprised by what I've read here. And to be quite honest, a bit disappointed. As has been said previously, 'very interesting'.
  18. This is a list of all the members that are currently receiving hosting from Trap 17, listed in alphabetical order. If you have hosting here but don't see your name listed below, then please reply to this thread below. I have been through the list and added every member to the user group '[==::HOSTED::==]'. However, I am only human, and I may have missed one or two - so if you have hosting here and you aren't apart of that group, then please let me know (your current user group should be displayed under your user name at each of your posts, and in your profile). username Name of the hosted site (multiple sites or parked sites have been spanned below the user) // snipped //
  19. No firewalls are 'good with gaming'. Anything that monitors network activity is obviously going to draw a certain amount of bandwidth from it, and therefore slow everything down (although on fast connections, it mightn't be noticable).
  20. I was just pointing out that it is a button, not a banner, as the title implies. I think that what Lurk said was aimed at the other people rather than yourself, just to note that they could simply 'hot-link' to the button if they wished.
  21. The Terms and Conditions state that: AND So unfortunately, shipping to 'the stupid Italy' or any other country outside of the United States isn't an option.
  22. Yours is pretty small as well, Shackman. Under 30 registered users and under 400 posts isn't exactly large.Forums that have few members/posts but a lot of categories tend to look a lot more empty than they would if they lost a little weight. Having a few forums with a lot of posts looks better than a lot of forums with a few posts.Anyway, best of luck to both of you.
  23. Oh right, lol. I didn't actually get to this post via the [Clans and Groups] forum, so I didn't see the description.
