I just started making money online and in the past week I have made $15. That's not bad for starters, but I hope that amount will increase as time goes on.

16 years old over here. I started webdesign, programming and all that good stuff when I was about 12-13. So I have a little bit of experience, but more is always better.

Nothing much eaelecs. Since you are new you could have done an introduction here instead of a spam post.

If I remember correctly, San Andreas should be coming out for PC in the summer of 2005.

Do you remember the other specs for the computer? If the other specs are good, which I'm guessing, then that would be a sweet gaming rig.

I know it might be late, but it's better now then never. Thanks for all the help and hard work you put into making Xisto a good webhost and community. Good luck in the future Spectre. -
What Operating System Is The Best Games Base ? A little Quizzy...
static replied to MacFly's topic in Operating Systems
Right now it would have to be Windows XP. This is easily chosen because almost all of the games that we play today can function only on Windows platforms. Later on there might be newer and better games that also function on Linux, Unix, and others. -
It would be really hard to get rid of the invites, now that most of the people who like Google or want more storage space have a Gmail account.

I used Internet Explorer for while until I discovered Mozilla Firefox. Firefox is better in that it is safer, faster, and better overall. I haven't deleted Internet Explorer because I might use it for websites that don't open properly with Mozilla Firefox and also because people have said that you need it for Windows Update to function.

The problem is most likely adware and spyware like Roly said. If you don't already have these programs, the links for Ad-Aware and Spybot: Search and Destroy are below. Scan your system with both of these programs, preferably in safe mode. Ad-Aware Spybot: Search and Destroy

Send a PM to OpaQue and see what he says about installing this.

Welcome aboard to the Xisto community PrettyMe. Xisto is probably the best free web host on the net, so you made a good choice. Make sure your hosting credits don't go too low or your hosting will be suspended. All the admins ask in return for free hosting is contribution to the forums and community and if possible a donation. There is almost always members here to help you if you have a question. Enjoy your Xisto experience.

It's good to hear another person agree and say that Xisto is a great hosting company with a "flashy" layout. I myself have been here for just about 2 months now and the service is just terrific. Hosting is hardly down, if so then for maintenance, and all the features you get for free is insane. Members, moderators, and admins who are knowlegeable with scripting, languages, and more are almost always here to help. So I hope you enjoy your Xisto experience.

It's probably a late reply, but using the Google Desktop Search is useful and safe for your computer alone. There was an article in the newspaper where if you install the desktop search for a public computer, then people can easily search for private information. So my review for it would be that it is useful but should be installed only on your own personal computer.

Like the other individuals here, I myself use Ad-aware 6.0 and SpyBot: Search and Destroy. Every 2 weeks I run my computer in safe mode and scan with Ad-aware and then use Spybot to clean out the remaining garbage. I am thinking about using Microsoft's new Spyware remover which seems to be effective in removing Spyware from what other people have said who have already used it. I am trying to get the Security Center icon back to my taskbar at the bottom, but I am having problems. When I get to the Security Center in my Control Panel it reads that the Security Center is currently unavaliable because it hasn't been started or stopped. I have also reset my computer but it still reads the same message. How do I start up the Security Center again?

I wouldn't say that video games are a complete waste of time but sometimes they can be. During the summer or this past winter break, most of us played some type of video game to keep ourself entertained or busy. During school days or when you have work to do most people hold off on the gaming and finish their work up. Then they have the rest of the time to play video games. So playing video games isn't a complete waste of time but rather a way to keep yourself entertained and busy during long breaks when the work is done.

Counter-Strike is getting kind of boring and rather annoying, now that VALVe hasn't released an update for VAC. Hackers are also all over the place in both non and secured servers. When Counter-Strike:Source came out people were anxious to play it until they found out that there were bugs that hadn't been fixed. Now gamers are annoyed and angry that VALVe hasn't made a VAC 2 or made an update for VAC to take care of these hacks and ban the hackers accounts especially in Counter-Strike and Source. If VALVe doesn't do something about this then sadly they will lose customers. *This is what most other gamers that play VALVe games are saying.

I have a couple favorite energy drinks. When I'm doing a sport I like to drink Gatorade or Red Bull to rejuvinate myself. It does do a better job than water. When I'm resting at home not doing anything but watching TV, playing computer, whatever then I like to drink some type of carbonated drink to keep myself awake. At night if I have to stay up late to finish my work then I make a strong cup of tea to keep myself going. Green tea works for me and it also has antioxidants to keep me healthy.

If that article is true, then it makes me sick to know there are people out there that are taking advantage of a terrible situation. The people of Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and other affected countries are in great need of aid and the last thing they need to worry about are thieves stealing, sex attacks against the women, and the children being abducted. I don't know what those people are thinking that makes them want to do something so wrong. Hopefully they will get the sense to change their actions around and help the people in need.

I would have to say Gmail hands down because of several reasons. Gmail has much more space where I can store my attachments which may include pictures, slideshows, downloads and I can store my regular e-mail. We are talking about 1 GB of space which is plenty. Gmail also has really good spam protection and knows which e-mail is spam and what is good. Gmail also has POP3 and you can use a Google inbox search if you are looking for a specific message and don't want to look for it manually.I used to use Hotmail but I had a problem with spam and my inbox would get filled kind of easily. Now with Gmail I know I have enough space to store a lot of stuff. There are still Hotmail users out there that think Hotmail is better than Gmail and that is fine by me.

I prefer Gmail over the other two because it has the most space for free and I wanted to try something new from Yahoo's e-mail. Gmail has other features out there like POP3 which makes checking e-mail a lot easier by opening up your e-mail program like Outlook or Thunderbird and you can also store more e-mail and attachments.I still use Yahoo's e-mail because I have other stuff I do on Yahoo, and if I get updates, newsletters, etc. I can send it to my Yahoo e-mail account and easily check it right there.A plus on both e-mail providers is that they have excellent spam protection.

Congrats on your win in the tournament doomachine2000. I haven't played Need for Speed Underground 2 yet, but I have played the first one. I would have to say I was pretty good at it. I had a fully upgraded Mazda RX-7 with neon, rims, spolier, vinyl, all the good stuff. I didn't go to any tournament to compete, but I did play online with other people. I beat most of the people I raced, but some others were just mindblowing drivers. Now I'm looking into purchasing the second one and who knows, when I'm ready I just might face you.
