Anybody with some knowledge of Javascript and some common sense can breat these.The only thing that one can use and should use is an HTML compressor, which rewrites the HTML in such a way that the net file size is reduced !!

If you want, just a menu, you could use the tables.You might consider writing small javascripts for them to make them look like buttons with rollovers, background colours et all. For complex menus and eye catchy ones, you'll need All Web Menus Pro, a software which creates menus for you that are very eye catchy and beautiful. But the menu thus generated is pretty big in size !!Choose your way.

Best tool till date is DREAMWEAER.I am a great fan of it. You can design great pages with it even if you donot know anything about HTML !! and in the hands of a pro, it creates superb pages.But regardless of which editor you use, in order to create a good page you should know HTML real well !! and you should be able to use notepad to edit your site !!

The hyperlink was great,it taught me a lot of things which should be kept in mind while designing a site.I have tried to implement what I've learnt and I think it'll improve my site greatly.Thanks Buddy.

Flash sites are gr8 and cool. You can have special effects and make the site much more user friendly. But the sad part is that most of the animations take a hell lot of time to load and a lot of guys like me are not blessed with high bandwidth. So to us a flash only site is like an ant trying to go round the globe in foot !!.I personally like Flash site greatly, but its hellish for anyone with low bandwidth.In short, alongwith the flash site make an alternative HTML site too for the poor souls like me.

I've seen a beta of this OS, it looks gr8 even better than XP and comparable to MAC. But the thing is that, it runs steadily only in a 3.6GigHz Athlon FX 64 Ultra !!

LONGHORN sucks. You need a brand new computer, atleaset 2.4 GigHz or more for it to run !!.

Couldn't Agree with you more YUSANK. Its really very difficult to Save and reload the page using a traditional editor. It's as simple as pressing F12 in DREAMWEAVER !!DREAMWEAVER rocks, please try out the 2004 version. I've brought it a few months back and its really better than DREAMWEAVER MX.

Its DREAMWEAVER for me and nothing can beat that. Dreamweaver is the best availaible tool. Moreover I use my own C++ programs to generate optimized pages and what's more, I've also added features of optimizing javascript (though very preliminary).But let me tell you, that to get a true mastery with Dreamweaver, one must know the nitty-grittie of HTML very well. I get the real power of DREAMWEAVER as I know HTML well, and (once upon a time) I used to write webpages using the EDIT program of DOS. I even wrote my own C program to allow me to write HTML using shortcuts for long commands and automatic indentation.
