  1. Nice layout. It has a beginners look, but it's still very usable and attractive... It loads a bit slow, but that's not important cos it's not a pro site for lot's of coustomers... Everything else looks ok, you might maybe disallow resize of that window because it's ugly when page have that nice background (if it's resized then..) have white space around - that happens only in Firefox. Btw. Im using InternetEx. and it looks ok. Keep up good work on these layouts...

  2. Hello all you fancy designers and webmasters and staf...!
Do you have some spare time to help me out a bit?

Ok, then come on to my homepage and check all php scripts for errors - in other words, try to find something that is wrong coded, failed to operate, non-working parts of site... Im updating site on daily basis so it's kind a hard to watch all stuff by myself. Thanks for your comments in advance... :)

What is at t-hr.com ??? It's some chinese or similar page, without any known world language like english/german/france or anything I could read ok? and there is no clue about any hosting type there??? :)

  5. the two dates at the bottom are the dates when updates have been made. thanks for responding, it is very useful to me! :)

Do you (anyone) suggest a specific (sort of) font?

i would place lots of pictures on the site, does anyone know which way is the best way to do this? (which webalbum creator?, using frames?,...)

    66040[/snapback]

Try no to use handwritten fonts, because they all have a lack of readability, many people don't like them because it's hard to read, use some of the system installed fonts instead, you will not be forced to use pictures for your menu because you may use some dhtml nice script maybe... anyway keep up the good webdesign work, you got much to learn from now....

  6. That green/white combination is good. From my graphic-designer point of view, it's good to use high contrast colors, that makes visitors attracted to content... Just try to align that banner in middle-top with content box below (align it on right side maybe) and give that banner some frame, it's rough like this... nicely done layout for a game site...

  7. Hello all you FireFox user's! Did you know that on croatian language FireFox means > "VatrenaLisica" :) Anyway here is the deal: with this easy tutorial you'll get very fast pageloads in firefox browser: just follow this simple code:

Here's something for broadband people that will really speed up Firefox:1.Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit return. Scroll down and look for the following entries:    * network.http.pipelining    * network.http.proxy.pipelining    * network.http.pipelining.maxrequestsNormally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading.2. Alter the entries as follows:    * Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true"    * Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true"    * Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 30.This means it will make 30 requests at once.3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives. If you're using a broadband connection you'll load pages MUCH faster now!

That's all, hope it's working for you!

  8. However, you don't need to worry about optimal system temperature, anything between 36?C and 65?C is normal for Celeron processors... I recently had an problem with celeron processor, there has been faulty motherboard with broken plastic part that joins with cpu-cooler, so my system rapidly shuts down and I get all kinds of errors... Anyway, intel processors have shutdown switch, so they don't burnout if cooler fails, they just block the system - if your motherboard do not do the same...

  9. Ok, I have seen too many topics with "best browser", "which is the best browser", "firefox or IE", "Opera or firefox" and similar topics... and I i'll tell you something, it's pretty damn stupid to talk about... you can see it from simple example... I have approx. 5-10 unique visits in one day to My Webpage and take look at these stats:

    __________________________________

    BROWSER HITS Percent

    1. MS Internet Explorer.....9934 82.5 %

    2. Firefox.........................1603 13.3 %

    3. Safari............................211 1.7 %

    4. Unknown........................136 1.1 %

    5. Opera............................117 0.9 %

    ------------------------------------------------

As you can see, there is main lead of 82.5% by the MS Internet Explorer. Naturally these stats are not for the whole internet community users, but they show that most of the people don't care which browser they have, and which is best and fastest.. people jsut want a system, and I mean an stable sistem, which works best for them without the need of many tweaking, and system-tuning and many other things computer brings to them...

    :)

  10. Can't help you with that, but I have some other problem with Photoshop 7...

"Out of memory" problem may occur if you have less than 256Mb in your RAM. Try to check also how many % of system Memory you gave to photoshop, you can do that simply when you open your photoshop and click on >> Edit >> Preferences >> Memory & Image Cache. Give your photoshop approx. 90% of system memory, if you are using it with large images.. and use 80% if you work with small images most the time...

Anyway you may get "Out of memory" problem when you using your fonts if you have too many fonts installed in your windows system folder... Try to check that. If you have more than 400 fonts installed try to remove some to get more system power and speed, as the overall system loads faster that way...

If you need all the fonts (and you use them daly) you may try to get an aplication "Adobe TypeManager" or some other font manager software, which allows you to make "font suitcases" with many fonts in them, and you can activate each "suitcase" when you need it, and deactivate it when you are not using them... that way you still have your fonts around and system is fast enough...

Now finally that crash in cooltype.dll - maybe the file is corrupted - you can download it for free from internet... check this code below:
File Name: Cooltype.dll File Size: 1.458.176File Version: 4.10.20File Company: Adobe Systems, Incorporated File Description: CoolType Typography Engine [URL=http://http://www.dlldump.com/dllfiles/C/CoolType.dll link[/URL]

I hope that I manage to help you out a bit... :)

  11. I use CDRW type.

For you, you can use CDRW (16x) or hard disk ghosting with Norton Ghost.

    How much data have you?

    65901[/snapback]

I have many gigs of work-data: approx. 60 Gigs.. Many of that are large photoshop files, large PDF documents for print, and such things...

Anyway thank you all for your comments, I decided to use Norton Ghost beacuse it give me all the flexibility I need, and I'll burn my backup images on DVD drive... :)

  12. yea redsky. you ve got a very good point there. i know that photoshop is for photo editting and i also know the function of 3D Studio Max but i wanna know which is the better out of the 2 softs.

    6375[/snapback]

Odomike correct me if im wrong, but you really can't compare these two programs... They are in two different groups of software, they have completly different functions, and they are alltogether different. Anyway, you may be wondering which of these two (photoshop or 3dsmax) is better to do specific task, like: quickest way to make 3d gamebox - you can do it in photoshop, or you can render it in 3dsmax with textures added, either way, you will endup with photoshop, and making final texturing, finetuning, designing, and adding text or more pics - in photoshop. Photoshop is really graphic and web design industry standard. so you can't avoid it... And 3dsmax is "faaaar moooore" complex than photoshop, so they are really not similar... you can't compare them.

    :)
