  1. There seems to be a lot of confusion here. First of all Lyon, would you like to cntinue hosting your site on Xisto or are you seeking a new host. If seeking a new host, the solution is simple. Just go to your Cpanel and set up a redirection from http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ >> http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ But if you want to stick aound with Xisto, do as BuffaloHELP says. NOTE: I previously has a freedomain at Xisto - http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Then I bought a domain http://angadsodhi.com/ Paid some credits (20 if I remember correctly) and changed my domain to angadsodhi.com But as soon as I changed my domain, angad619.trap17.com was not accessible (ie you'll lose all traffic) If nothing works out, do as I had done (though I had much less traffic at that time) I never gave my <subdomain>.trap17.com address to anyone I used a free domain from freedomain.co.nr Therefore my site was angad.co.nr which would redirect to the Xisto subdomain without the user noticing it. After a couple of months I suddenly changed my domain to angadsodhi.com and immediately redirected angad.co.nr to angadsodhi.com Therefore my visitors never noticed the change. Then I notified everyone that I've bought a domain called angadsodhi.com Even today, angad.co.nr redirects to angadsodhi.com
  2. I recently bought the Sony Ericsson S500i. I bought it amidst speculations that the keys on the S500i and the W580i crack but thankfully no cracked keys for me. I simply love my phone!!! The lighting effect is really cool!
  3. Good work OpQue!!!So probably only those accounts got suspended whose credits were around 7 or less! (including me!!)I live in a hostel n get access to the net very rarely (usually just once or twice a week) therefore my credits are always around 10! People with higher credit count must have not been affected at all. Therefore it pays to have truckloads of credit in your account!!!
  4. hello people, My site (actually a blog) is http://angadsodhi.com/ I regularly post about 'things that catch my eye' - basicaly has gadget reviews, movie/book reviews, website reviews and many other interesting things! PS: Check out the Calvin n Hobbes post (my personal favorite) I also had made a site all by myself when I was 15(now I'm 19). The URL is http://sachinfan.co.nr/ However I haven't updated it in about a year!!
  5. Are you sure Google won't mind you fiddling with the code it gave and is it worth the risk? Splitting the code into two and placing it on searate pages might not be a good idea. Maybe I'm over-cautious but I probably won't risk my Adsense Account! Not that simple dude. These days Google takes almost 3 weeks to accept it's applications!!
  6. hey even my account has been suspended!!!! Whatis goin on here. BH please help me!! yesterday I posted on many topics and got my creduts to about 8 today the board shows 4 and my account is suspended. I got some 17 mails from people telling me that my blog is inaccessible!! (didn't know so many people cared ) My site is http://angadsodhi.com/ username:<same as Xisto username> HELP me out please!!!!! Just a note:The suspended page on Xisto hosted sites has a Google PageRank of 2/10!!!!!! The site must not have any links pointing to it. Agreed it has many outgoing links but they are not enough to get it a 2/10. The only reason that I see is that thousands of people must have accessed that page which gives a PR of 2. hehe (After 2 months of blogging, my blog http://angadsodhi.com/ still gets only 2/10)

  8. What's the point if no device currently supports such huge capacities???But good innovation though. Soon there will be a gadget for it! Trandsend and WesternDigital are really workin hard on increasing memory capacities (WD's made a 2Tb Hard disk drive!!!). Kudos to both of them
  9. Probably it could come true in the near future only if we can make better internet conections. Just like the post 'Download HD movie in 1 sec', if that can come true to an extent that everyone can afford it, probably every PC can be attempted to be made into client as well as a server!! And please don't rip the poor guy apart, those were just his "Random thoughts". Can't a guy just think out aloud??
  10. Great product. I can imagine a lot of coding has gone into this device.I would definately buy this device if I had 3-4 Ipods in my family or friend circle. But alas, IPods are still scarse in India. (Neither do I have one). But later on when you finally sinc it with yuor PC/Mac, wouldn't it take off the new files from the ipod??
  11. Hypnosis And Hypnotherapy – Certain Facts Hypnosis is a state of altered awareness. Not sleep or unconsciousness. A person under hypnotic spell is in control of his own body and mind. It’s a method by which any person may be guided into an altered state of conscious awareness ( trance ) in which psychological and physical changes beyond normal conscious capabilities may be achieved. These changes can be measured. For example, the pulse rate decreases, and this can be measured with a pulse meter. Any one can be hypnotized if he or she remains relaxed and follows simple instructions. What a person feels during hypnosis varies. Most feel hypnosis as a pleasant state of deep inner calm and physical relaxation. In many ways deep hypnosis is like a trance state of yoga or meditation. Hypnotherapy is a therapy done in conjunction with hypnotic trance. It is often classed as a form of complimentary medicine and viewed as a branch of psychotherapy. Hypnosis is not an occult or esoteric art. It is a scientifically acknowledged psychological and therapeutic discipline. It is absolutely safe. It is impossible for anyone to get ‘stuck’ in hypnosis. There are no known records of anyone having been physically or mentally harmed as a direct result of hypnosis. In clinical therapy, clients are never asked to do any thing embarrassing or against their will. Clinical therapy can help in stopping habits ( smoking, drinking, drugs, etc ) , manage anxiety and stress and overcome fears ( Public speaking, anger, insomnia, etc ) , create a psychological and emotional well being ( depression, grief, build self confidence , etc ) , improve physical condition ( pain control ) , Personal development ( increase self esteem, improve performance, etc ). It can also lead to overall spiritual growth ( past life regression and higher self communication ) . It’s a blessing that hypnosis is coming out of its air of hocus – pocus and being accepted as an established form of alternative therapy. Notice from rvalkass: Even if the material is your own, you need to QUOTE it if it is available elsewhere. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
  12. I'm using the home edition of Avast and I'm liking it.NIS hoggs a lot of your system memory and can kill slower machines!!!
  13. I'd prefer watching TV on a big screen
  14. Hey, doesn't out basic HDD have a transfer limit of something around 3GB/sec. Then how can we put data into the HDD at a rate faster than that even if our network cables allow transfer speeds upto 160GB/s???But if we can have transfer speeds as high as those in the near future it would be a great boon. Kudos to people working on it. Sometimes I wonder the world's evolving at such a high rate. About 14 years ago only a few people had even seen PCs then. The world has drastically changed in the last 15 years (and I must say the environment has deteriorated with the same pace too!!!)
  15. I'm for Cloning for the sake of research only. I'm against entire cloning of humans. I'm firm on my stand because then it would be a facility available only to the super rich!!During my schooldays, I had a poem in my textbook titled 'Death the leveler'. It said that whovever you may be, however rich you may be, death treats everyone equally. Both the king and the pauper have to embrace death sometime or the other. But I'm for cloning of particular organs. If a baby has some congenital disorder say a punctured heart since birth, we should be able to replace it with a heart made in the labs and give the kid a new life. But if we could clone humans with ease, it could create great havoc. Imagine a much wanted terrorist is finally caught and is being executed for his crimes and the bad guys already have his replica ready to create more havoc!!! If two countries together could not catch one terrorist, he could duplicate himself and create havoc all over the world!!! And we all know all these terrorist organisations have steasy sources of income and have huge funds dedicated towards voilance!!!
  16. Cells that use soft water as fuel are not acceptable. If we can use hard water such as the water directly from the oceans, it would be a breakthrough technology and could change the future of energy crisis and world economics! But my little chem knowledge tells me that it is almost next to impossible. Coz you would either have to heat-up that water or break it down to it's constituent elements. But that would give us salts as the residue which damages the apparatus!! Oil companies will close down once oil becomes rare and automobile?companies?will have to find alternate fuels. Is this come kind of a joke??? Take a look at this picture: Thsi is a regular sight in many countries. Even in upscale cities like mumbai(India), we get water for just 4 hrs a day. This has become a way of life. True, we have a borewell connection for every building but that provides only?hard?water.? It also isn't easy to create water!!!! You can take out Hydrogen and Oxygen from water but you can't make water just by adding H and O!!!!! Last night I read in the papers that some famous seer has predicted that the 3rd world war would be for possession of drinking water!! This is a serious issue guys. This is my plea to everyone. Please donot waste precious water. By saving water you may not help other countries but you can ensure that your nation does not face a water crisis in the near future.
  17. True there are a lot of web designing firms today and I must say most of them are wannabes! But you do stand out from the rest if you are good.My only suggestion to you is to put up a good team because you can't have flurishing business without a good team. Especially when you are in the thick of business you'll find that a good unit is all that makes the difference.Web Designing is such an industry that does not require much capital to start. You could always start a new company, try your luck for a few months and if it doesn't work out(God forbid), shut shop and come back to regular ways. But do try your hand at it. Give yourself a change to succeed. Don't backout just because you have tough competition. Our best wishes are always with you. May you succeed at whatever you do..
  18. Here's a link where you can buy this beauty: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ The price is stated as 12999Rs (approx 333$s) The Keyboard looks really awesome. You could use it on any surface. Imagine you could spread a soft velvet cloth on your tabletop and thump away. Really innovative Some more images: Another similar product called "The Cellulon CL850 Virtual Keyboard" Another innovative but futuristic laptop I came across on the net: Supposedly the entire computer consists of a couple of pens that double up as projectors. Cool eh?? Also take a look at somethingthat is currently available in the market -- A keyboard which allows us to customise all of it's keys even the standart qwerty keys!!! Ref-POS keyboard
  19. Planning to get an LCD TV for my home. LCDs definately have an edge over Plasmas. As far as the price is concerned, they come in the sweet spot whereas plasmas seem a distant option. Even my LCD monitor is working fine and I love watching movies on it(much better than my current CRT TV).
  20. Sony EricssonAgree with HappyAlex why not have a poll??
  21. I guess a kid really needs a cell phone when he enters High School (around 15 in India). By needs, I mean that parents must give their children a very basic phone. In India Reliance Telecommunications has phones with basic fascilities for as low as 666Rs (about 16$). It is very common with kids arount the age of 16 in India. Then after a couple of years, say when the teen goes to a professional college where he may have to travel long distances to get to college or stays away from family, parents should buy their kid a better handset.I think teens can upgrade to a costlier handset when they can buy their own mobile with their own earnings. Atleast that's what my parents did when I was 17. They first bought me a sagem My-X1 at 17. Now I'm 19 and I recently bought the S500i since I travel 1.5hrs everyday to college and back!! My parents were wise and I love them for it!!!! Notice from rvalkass: Duplicate post removed as per user request.
  22. Heres a link to some images of the aqua car. http://www.ebaumsworld.com/ I really love the design of the Aqua Car. Other similar 'car-cum-boat's that I've seen before look rather crude. But the Aqua Car looks very sophisticated. However even I disagree with the concept of a car that runs both on land and water. The only people who need it are the military and they already have the hovercraft. Small private cruise boats are common these days and they look way more comfortable that our cramped up cars. A car that actually runs underwater must have a big drawback. The volume of our cars is too less. That means less space for air. Therefore you won't be able to drive long stretches underwater and you'd have to resurface every now and then!!!! It has practical application only in action flicks where the hero(who is too lazy to get out of his Aston Martin) sneaks up behind a bad guy in the final scene to overpower him!!!!
  23. thank you. I love photoshop tutorials. Learn as you create art itself. You see the results immediately. If you drift away from the tut, you end up with something new!!!
  24. True, my Intel Desktop board uses the F2 key. Some more questions: What is the difference between FAT32 and NTFS?? I've heard people say they with FAT32 you cannot have partions bigger than 32GBs(don't remember the exact figure). Is that true? What is the minimum space to run Windows XP smoothly? What are the advantages of format over quick format?? Is it legal to create an unattended copy Xp for yourself? Good first tutorial. Neat, simple and to-the-point. Keep up the good work.
  25. Hey guys, imagine this:If not a computer we should have a small chip in us say at the back of the hand that will store our identity. So there will be no need of passports and other documents to prove your identity. since everyone will have a single chip implanted since birth, there will be no scams relating to forged passports and stuff. You can go to a gas station, refill your automobile, pass your hand over some scanner and you will be billed automatically.Crime could be easily controlled. Have sensors all over the grocery store. Once you know who the culprit is, you could track him down via satellite!! In case of a kidnap, track down the kidnapped and the ones who are with the kidnapped. There would be no Osama hidding in some godforsaken place.Nobody would want a computer to be running their lives. But having such a chip will definately help us. And all this can be realised in teh near future!!
