  1. my new favorite game is by far Wolrd of Warcraft. I played at launch and I loved it, took a break and came back just recently and Imust say it's just as fun as it was back then.My old favorite would of been Swords and Serpents for NES, and the newly released Oblivion .

  2. About two years ago, during the toronto film festival, I was at my Father's small deli helping unload meat and vegetables (like I do almost every day!), and Jacki Chan walked in and ordered a vegetable sub. He was so happy and just talked to us about everything, how he loved Toronto what he was doing next, where my Father started the business (and that's bad news because my Father can talk about that for hours!), unfortunently I had to go for an interview (I got the job and still working there today) about 10 minutes after he arrived. My Father said he stayed for just over an hour chatting and helping chop vegetables, which is pretty nice seeing as how it's extremely busy.

  3. I use Trillian's Basic package as well . I don't really see a big difference between basic and pro other than support and a few glitcy features that's not required to chat without through multiple IM services.

Is there trillian for Linux (debian env.) or anything like that? ATM I'm forced to use GaIM to handle IRC, Google Talk and MSN in one program and I really don't like its oversimplistic system without custom emoticons, avatars etc. so if there is any better software available for debian/ubuntu environment from Synaptic Package Manager or in .deb-package please tell me.

There's an alternative called Kapote that you may like. Unforunently, I don't have the url handy (at work and practically all search engines are banned :)), but a google search should do the trick.

  4. This is called a virus. Also Known as a Trojan or a Alcarta. You need to re-format before it can casue any more damage. And before it calls in more hosts as well. Trojans take over your computer in many ways, when ur computer is on you mightnot even know it but this virus can be hosting a network witch the hackers designed. And trust me, you dont want to be the host...

I'm not so sure thats the case here. If he had a virus that was using the host as a networking hub, then it would really rely on an active internet connection to send to other hosts. If he's unable to even load up windows or any OS this is probably not the case (although there may be other viruses active).

To check if your harddrive is on it's last throes it's best to enable SMART from your bios (if it's not already enabled). That will tell you on bootup if there is a problem with your Hard drive.

You may most likely need to format, as Saint_Michael and Savage17 suggested :/

  5. My all time favorites would have to be GTA (the original), Swords and Serpents (NES), and Morrowind. Now I"m totally hooked on the newly released Oblivion game by Elderscrolls. It's completely open ended with loads of things to do... Best RPG out there, although it's single player, it's far more entertaining than WoW imo :).

  6. You should try "Damn Small Linux" - http://www.damnsmalllinux.org/

It's tiny at 50.4mb and requires very little to run-

    # Run light enough to power a 486DX with 16MB of Ram# Run fully in RAM with as little as 128MB (you will be amazed at how fast your computer can be!)

Being so small, it doens't have the greatest desktop environment or window managers, but it's got everything you need to get cooking -

XMMS (MP3, CD Music, and MPEG), FTP client, Dillo web browser, links web browser, FireFox, spreadsheet, Sylpheed email, spellcheck (US English), a word-processor (FLwriter), three editors (Beaver, Vim, and Nano [Pico clone]), graphics editing and viewing (Xpaint, and xzgv), Xpdf (PDF Viewer), emelFM (file manager), Naim (AIM, ICQ, IRC), VNCviwer, Rdesktop, SSH/SCP server and client, DHCP client, PPP, PPPoE (ADSL), a web server, calculator, generic and GhostScript printer support, NFS, Fluxbox window manager, games, system monitoring apps, a host of command line tools, USB support, and pcmcia support, some wireless support.

    Best of luck :)

  7. I've just recently tried linux and I must say I"m really impressed with the new KDE and Gnome environments, as well as the shere number of OSS available. I'm really excited about devling deeper into this more stable and efficient OS; This coming from a windows user since it's dawn.I've started with Gentoo 2006.0 to get my feet wet, and I'm planning to grab the new Fedora Core 5 when I get a chance (as well as more cd's/dvd's) - it was recommended to me.Anyways, what linux flavor do you prefer and why ?

  8. I have a good friend that was born in Gaza, and when he moved here, in Canada, he lived in a predominant jewish area. Jewish grocery stores and many other merchants in the area refused to even serve him. I went to his home many times while we were attending school and there was nothing but bad looks and unidentifiable jibberish directed at him. The hate is definitely not one sided. It will take some time, land agreements, and new generations to calm the wave of hatred and breed acceptance between both the Jewish and Muslim people.

  9. Is a human being's meaning of life one that supercedes that of the other animals we share this world with ? I don't think so. Simply because our intellect is much greater that a bear or wolf does not mean that we are special beings and deserve a greater existence. We just like any other animal are born. We breed to ensure our genes gets passed on, we raise a family to ensure their education and survival in the world, and we die just like any other warm blooded animal on this world.

  10. Yea, this is going to turn the series around. But to me its going to be hilarious...For example: They are going to hire some random guy and put his voice into chefs. This would be wierd but they will make up some crazy excuse for it....

I could see them bringing in chefs identical twin brother to play the new roll :(. I heard about his problems with the episode when it aired way back when, but since he hand't left I assumed he found a solution.

A little off-topic, but what really scares me about scientology is how the big celebrities seem to have a "scientology advisor" tagging along on press syndicates at premiers or one on one interviews.

  11. Hmmm... 3 of my teachers play bball a few days a week on the school courts vs us students (not an event), I met my bio teacher at a night club before (she's like 27), and I've seen a whole bunch at restaurants with their spouses and partners. But more often then none I see them smoking, I think that's the common link between most outdoor teacher experiences. It's gotta be stressful being a teacher :(
