  1. tel mij daar ook maar bij op dan, dat kon je toch wel zien aan mijn crappy engels
  2. ahh that way, No you missunderstood <_<I meant what you talk about is self install and I think that some users who like to work with php and mysql dont have the time or the knowledge to setup a server themselfs by hand (even as it is simple). So I only handed a "complete tutorial" link and a preconfigured installer just to make things easier to them
  3. Good idea perhaps a bit hard for some users so I will post some alternatives here A nice tutorial on how to do it yourself can be found here including links to the packages you need. If you dont like to go into the source of the packages you also could download a preconfigured installer thats does most/all of the work for you. for windows this is called wamp (windows apache mysql php). A nice place to start is: http://www.wampserver.com/en/index.php
  4. I just had to react to this....... Do you even know what an ISO file is? Let me explain it to you. An ISO image/file (as prescribed by ISO standard ISO 9660) is a file that represents a one-to-one copy of a specific computer filesystem, most widely used for the compact disc medium (i.e an entire CD or DVD-ROM). Note one-to-one copy so how can it be the smallest ever seen?
  5. LOL never mind I been stuppid myself... Just overlooked the code and went "what the *BLEEP* is wrong here" and finaly I see it [br]<?php> ....... </?>[/br] Should be [br]<?php ....... ?>[/br] How dumb , I cant think of a excuse why I did not see it before but its fine since it is working now
  6. Nice to point me to that, but it does not help....It still is not working .... No email send and no feedback from the form ( if, else tags)
  7. That are not normal images but scripts or better yet dynamic images mostly done by asp (aspImage) but its also posible with php I have seen.I think if you search with google @ dynamic images + php OR asp" you will find something you could use to make them yourself
  8. erm... 7.zip supports rar and ace files to (both compress as extract) and since 7zip is freeware and opensource what do you have to loose? 7zip = (opensource) freeware winrar= (closedsource) blameware
  9. My bad, I have 2 css files one for IE and one for non IE browsers, I forgot to change the IE css header part "blame it on me not using IE" It is fixed now (and I hope the resolution part is oke now, ain't sure of that yet)
  10. what the H*** do you mean by that.....? ahh never mind 1 look at your post history tells it all
  11. You assumed right it was a copy/paste error so it had nothing to do with the problem <_<thx anyway
  12. Gaim it is for me.supports almost all: jabber, msn, gadu gadu, icq, aim, yahoo, irc and much more. The best is all contacts show in one window so it is using just small part of your screen, The mesage windows it self are separated by tabs (like firefox has for links). It fits for me
  13. My script wont work and I cant figure out where I did go wrong The form looks like this: [/br]<form name="member-request" action="index.php?page=request" method="post">[br] <p><b>Gender:</b></p>[/br] <ul>[br] <input type="radio" name="gen" value="1" />Male[/br] <input type="radio" name="gen" value="2" />Female[br] </ul>[/br] <p><b>Your Name:</b></p>[br] <p><input type="text" size="40" name="name" class="forminput"></p>[/br] <p><b>Hotmail:</b></p>[br] <p><input type="text" size="40" name="email" class="forminput"></p>[/br] <p><b>small word about yourself:</b></p>[br] <p><textarea rows="6" cols="40" name="message" class="forminput"></textarea></p>[/br] <p><b>what do you like about worms?:</b></p>[br] <p><textarea rows="6" cols="40" name="worms" class="forminput"></textarea></p>[/br] <p><input type="submit" name="submit" value="Submit" style="cursor:pointer"> <input type="reset" name="reset" value="Clear" style="cursor:pointer"></p>[br] </form>[/br] "index.php?page=request" point to mail.php which is set in the index.php [br]case "request":[/br]include('mail.php');[br] break;[/br] I have done so because that way the layout stays the same. My mail.php looks like this: [br]<div id="contentContainer">[/br] <div class="cont">[br] <div class="contsection">*****</div>[/br] <div class="conthead">[br] <h1>Will you get wormed today?</h1>[/br] </div>[br] <?php>[/br] $formsent=mail("request@wormsparty.info", "request form", "Request from: $name \r\ngender $gen [br] \r\nabout self: $message \r\nabout worms: $worms" "From: $email\r\nbounce-to:request@wormsparty.info");[br][/br] if($formsent==1)[/br] {[br] echo "<p>Hello, $name. We have recieved your request/question. We will get back to you as fast as we can,<br />[/br] Best regards WormsParty.info team</p>";[br] }[/br] else[br] {[/br] echo "<p>I am sorry, $name. We did not recieve your request/question. Please try again or use the mail address on the contact page</p>";[br] }[/br] </?>[br] </div>[/br]</div> It does nothing at all, the mail is not send and I dont get a error or what so ever, the content of the page ( mail.php) stays blank please help me figure this out... thx
  14. Thats *BLEEP* since the support of hardware lays mostly in the kernel, as long as you have 2.6.x you should be fine with the support. For the topicstarter: May I ask why you use the "vesa"video drivers since they "suck" and have a bad resolution support. I see also that you have set: [br]Option "DPMS" "true"[/br] I have seen lots of problems garding X support with htis option set perhaps it is an idea to try to run it with: [/br]Option "DPMS" "false"[br]or [/br]#Option "DPMS" "boolean"
  15. Strange since an .iso normaly is a direct image of the cd (not compressed) it should be the same size as it telling it is. The only thing I can think of is that nero is *BLEEP*ing up the size of it or that you use te wrong settings to burn the image. May I ask how you try to do it. If nero is not working out for you you could try the "build in" program that comes with windowsXP (if you use Xp that is ) or you could try: isorecorder (does not support winXP sp2 yet) or magiciso. Good luck
  16. Seen it and liked it allot but about those plot holes ahh its just a movie, When would I analyse all movies I would see lots of plot holes in them <_<If you have not seen this movie yet go to your local dvd store/rental asap and see it, I guaranty you that you will like it. I would rate it 10 stars
  17. for horror: The Shining (1980) with Jack Nicholson "here is Johny" great movie I am a big fan of King. Drama/sf: The green mile (also king) The best ever: The Stand (guess from who )
  18. Show your desktops here to give others inspiration how to set there desktop. Since I guess also modemers (=<56k users) visit his forum I ask you all to make a small image, lets say 640x480 that you show here You always can set a link to the original big one if you wish A good place to upload your images is imageshack, its free and the maximum is 1mb a file. Oke I will start. full size one - Gentoo Linux with kernel 2.6.8, - Xorg 6.8.1 - Fluxbox windowmanager What we see? Right side: Gkrellm2 a system monitor program for linux Top left: Aterm that runs top to view the running progresses in the system Center top: Firefoxbar Wallpaper can be found here Who is next ?
  19. Are you serious? You have a P4 2.4 and you dont know what to do with it Oke what do you want to do with it is the first question you should ask yourself, with a P4 you can do all sorts of things from simply writing a letter upto playing a cool game (videocard is important there) or writing your own programs.Do what ever you want to do with your pc, the sky is the limit. :blink:ps. if you really have no clue what to do with it you can send it to me
  20. Oke you need to explain that to me because I dont understand it at all, 1. you say: Windows XP is by far the best OS 2. you say: I dont know to much about any of those other operating sytems. better would be: "I think windowsXP is the best because in my opinion................... ." But just telling that something is"by far" the best without any reference is kinda erm... dumb no flame intended
  21. The best result I did see till now came from 7zip. [/br]Archiver Compressed size Ratio[br]7-Zip (7z format) 5445402 100%[/br]WinRAR 3.10 6004155 110%[br]WinAce 2.3 6242424 115%[/br]CABARC 1.0 6455327 119%[br]7-Zip (zip format) 9461621 174%[/br]PKZIP 2.50 9842800 181%[br] http://www.7-zip.org/
  22. Nooo Windows is save, really save and for asfar I know microsoft is guaranteeing that windows is secure and the most save OS to use, If you use windows you never will have problems, there are no real viruses for windows, spy and mailware wont run on it. And memory leaks ?? Microsoft never heart about that. Unlike Linux which comes with lots of viruses, mail and spyware. Linux is like an swish cheese when it comes to security and you need to reinstaal it every 24hours or it will break down your system. It might even explode Thats the reason all big compagnies use windows on there mainserver system and the best firewalls are those that contain windows as OS. (yeah right ) Yes that true, but why would you buy software for linux???allmost everything you can get for free....... photoshop/paintshop => gimp ms office => Open Office (wich includes pdf support unlike ms office) avant-browser (which is nothing mare as a skin for IE) +> mozilla, firefox, opera ect Games ow what do you like fps? - quake (all versions) : runs on linux natively: - unreal (most versions) : runs on linux natively: - wolfenstein (incl mods) : runs on linux natively: other games? Look at http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Do I need to continue? A compair test between security in windows vs linux can be found here
