  1. First glance, and the page attracts my attention, that's always great. The search shpuld always have an enter button, even though you can hit enter on your keyboard. The typical computer user will try to find stuff with their mouse first. The black and white striped bar on a white background takes away the effect. Also, make the background colour a grey and see how it looks, I don't like the white. Basically, too much dark grey for a white background, but a good design and layout. Keep up the good work
  2. My first try I got about 6.something, now I'm getting 4.469 and I just can't break that.
  3. That's a great list! ;)Personally, I want the thumb one it looks so neat and it'd be funny to see people's reactions when there is a thumb sticking out of the usb port, altough the weirdest one (the barbie) would scare and confuse people even more.
  4. I really liked the concept, but I have a couple issues. First off, the font has an issue with those spaces after "I"s. Try and sort that out. Also, the whole font seemed like it kind of didn't belong, maybe you should have used a font for the title and maybe a pixel font for the comment. Also, the chainsaw really throws me off. At first glance it looks fine, but when I looked closer, I could clearly see that it is just sitting on the ground not even close to being at an angle to cut the tree. I suggest working out those issues, but I give you a total of 6/10.
  5. I'm like zetzx. Whenever I get a game, I play through it once, without using any cheat codes, just playing through it like an average person would.Once I've done that, I'll play the game again using cheat codes, and exploring the whole game. I also do glitches and things like that once I have already beaten the game.
  6. You spelled Starcraft as Scarcraft by the way.I think the best game of all time is Doom. It revolutionized first person shooters and was the high bar for games to come for about 5 years after it came out. None of those other games can say that.Halo is a fun game but not the best all time. Halo 2 is a great game but not the best all time for sure. All of the others are great games, but just not good enough to be the best of all time.atonomichnacho is completely correct.
  7. I am ashamed to admit it, but I played Runescape a while back.I dislike all MMORPGs right now, but I was interested at the times. For a free browser-based game it's pretty decent, but the whole game is horrible. There are a lot of people who try to cheat and scam people. It's also very laggy at times. I can't imagine anyone who would pay money to be a "member" in that game.
  8. I don't have it, and I don't really want it.Don't get me wrong I love the tycoon games, and Rollercoaster Tycoon 1 with Loopy Landscapes and Corkscrew Follies were my favourites. I played the second one at my friends house and it was good, but I figured it wasn't worth buying if I already had #1, I thought 2 was good enough.I'm guessing the same about the 3rd one. I think it's just not good enough for it's own purchase.
  9. Yes, I use this extension often. It is good for quickly seeing how the current site was made. I also think you can put your own CSS sheet onto a site for you, and make the site look how you want it to look.I also use it to check out if I correctly coded my sites, by going on the site I want to validate, clicking on tools, and then checking which you want to validate. It then automatically links to W3C and shows all your errors and warnings.
  10. For the stage it's in, everything looks good. I love the layout and the colour scheme is good. The top navigation seemed confusing at first, because there are a lot of links without any directions, don't know how to fix that though.I think the major problem is that your site is too diversified. You have so many different subjects based off one site. You have Photoshop tutorials, gaming systems, and MMORPGs on one site. Also, I don't think you should have forums that link out in the middle of the forum list.
  11. I use Gmail for my everyday email, and I have a email address for my site in Outlook Express. I really don't use my email for much, it is usually just used for sign-ups for sites.
  12. No offence, but unless your friend is going to get advertisement and get a significant amount of sites to sign up, a search engine is really pointless.I mean, anyone who is going to sign their webpage up for that will also add theirs to google. So google will end up being his search engine+more. It is a great idea, but I don't see the point in it.Also, if you are serious about this site, it looks very sloppy and just thrown on there. I would recommend getting a better setup.
  13. My first webpage I made when I was about 10, I made in on Geocities too. Of course, I lived on the built in editor. It was going to be a homepage for me, but it wasn't really good. I stopped making webpages for a while until I really got into it and now I can make pretty decent webpages. I now need this host because my other one was very bad.
  14. Yes, I got the 404 error too. But I have some criticism on the 404 error page. The box is broken, try making a middle part of it as a background of the table cell. Also, the contact webmonkey link doesn't work.
  15. Great attempt at the site, but here is some constructive critizism:I find the text to be very big all over the site. Try taking it down a couple notches. The hit counter seems out of place. Get an invisible one if you can or change the colours. Also, I'm curious as to why there is a greyed out link for a singles site right below that. Finally, I have a pet peeve against people who use those animations like those. In my opinion, if you can't make your own, just use text links.
  16. I always have felt that downloading a pre-made template made my site feel unoriginal, even though I knew it was fine. It just bugged me real bad, and I have always tried to make my layouts look good in Photoshop, and code it myself.I don't know why, but I just felt guilty if iI used that, I suppose it was just my principles.

    RPG Maker XP

A quick google search brought me this link for the download: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ With my short and weak experience in the RPG games, I found that 2003 was much better than XP. Maybe it was because I never got used to XP, but I think it was that 2003 was more user friendly. Now, if you're advanced, that's a good thing, but for me it was harder to get used to. Also, there are many more resources like tile sets and sprites for RPG Maker 2003 than there is for RPG Maker XP.
  18. Original topic title, right?I'm new to this site, and I came because my other host didn't have as great features as this. I'm not trying to suck up, but most of the features surpass my other host. Also, this forum posting system is great, I love how I don't have to post every week like my other host.
  19. Another type you should be aware of is adware. Adware is a lot like spyware, except that adware is usually harmless. It usually installs a program on your computer that generates more ads on your computer. For scanning for adware on your computer, I recommend downloading Ad-Aware SE. With this program combined with Spybot - Search and Destroy, you should clean your system of most spyware and adware.
  20. I would definately advise against Microsoft Frontpage. The HTML it turns out is not proper. If you end up reading this, it will really screw up how you edit HTML. The best editor I've used is Macromedia Dreamweaver, but it costs money to use. I'd say you should just get used to HTML in a simple editor, fooling around with making things. You should be able to get good enough to just code off the top of your head in notepad.I personally just use notepad, I know enough HTML that I don't need any WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get) editors.
  21. I wish my school had a high school football team. I go to a school that's more worried about creative stuff that no one likes, and so we don't have a football team. I do play football though, as a wide reciever on a community team. This year we got to the finals and lost, which is one of the worst feelings ever.
  22. I used to play Warcraft 3 often. Are you telling me that Blizzard is still patching up the game and it's on patch 2.0 already or am I reading this wrong?

    Red Vs. Blue

I really like Red vs. Blue. I've been watching since the second season I believe.I have been a fan of the Halo series, so I naturally liked this site from the beginning. I also think that the humour in this series is very good, and what I personally love.
  24. I think that right and wrong depends on the person.Every person has their own perception on what is right and what is wrong, based on their religion, beliefs, attitude, and how they were raised. So, a person brought up in a rough neighbourhood will have a completely different perception than someone like a monk. Now, when it comes to laws, what is right and what is wrong is different in every country in my opinion. In depends on what the person in power of the government thinks, and what the majority of the citizens think. In my opinion, what people percieve as being right and wrong is unique to them, and different than what is publicly considered right and wrong.
