  1. Those sound like dangerous stairs XDNext time you oughta get dressed first.. the couch isn't going anywhere? XD

Lol Togi, a bit practical, aren't you there?

Keep on the good work being clumsy, folks. Things are tasteless without clumsiness, :)

    Cheers all!

  2. Anyways, I hope the actions of those twats like Milosevic, Bush and Hitler will be remembered so the leaders of the next generations will have more respect for those who put them up on their places.

Gad, Buddies! That's been common place for millenia now that leaders are hardly worth the people they lead. Many a father have never been up to is children's capabilities also in a family.

Now, what's still to be done is to heal the scars left 60 years ago between the Balkan people. That man Milosevic is no more than the heir of a Croatian dictator and murderer going by the name of Ante Pavlevitch, if I'm not mistaken. Petty murderers, all told. I would wish to All Serbians, Croatians and Bosnians to mercifully forget the wrong done to them in the past and start anew. The Spaniards did it of late and it succeeded, you know.

I can really understand that criminal dinosaurs like Milosevic can be a pain in the *BLEEP* for young Serbians, you know. It may bring some relief to them to know that people like Ole' Henry Kissinger, Stateside, are not jailed for their crimes in Vietnam or Chile. At least, the Serbian rascal has gone through some self-interrogation while some other criminals are still bluffing people at large for a royal fee on their talks.

The future lies with YOU smart young people and your kind. I'm so glad to see a young Croatian talking peacefully to a young Serbian in this topic. Keep on the good work, folks.

    Cheers, all ! :)

  3. It is important that the fight goes on. Every day more and more people become disenfranchised with the corporate world. We must form a coalition of true values voters, which transcends such superfluous things as race, age, or gender. And, in the end, we shall prevail.

    By Paolo Unger Dvorchik

Lol Gaea, congratulations. You've been quite thorough at it, friend.

So why not come back to Ole Abe's words in this Gettysburg Address of his : "government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth".

    Cheers all! :)

  4. So if you want to people to see the light well I say get out of your house and let people know to stop these pointless attacks and put down their weapons and start talking. But of course that's in a fantasy world cause in the real world the only thing that keeps on killing innocent people is money and thats pretty much it.

Fighting back and forth will not solve anything, yeah I think bush is a total @ZZ and corrupted he should go to prision for lying to everyone about what they were really after and thanks to him and his friends he's made this world a harder place to be in. But also I blame the people who decide that killing and kidnapping is the best solution to make people listen.
    .....
I only believe in what I see, know and hear, I don't do what others tell me to do just because they say so I do it If I believe it to be the best course in action or the right thing to do and that everyone is also aprt of it as well and if I have to defend myself from those trying to hurt me my family or people i care about I will kill you were you stand and I will never give it a second thought, I seen enough violence in my life to know how to do it to.

    Hey there guys,

St-Michael, what you say is to be applauded. I do, sincerely.

Now when it comes to talking about Balkans and ex-Yugoslavia, I do think nobody among us can really size up the immensity of a problem that has been up and running for centuries now.

This unhappy place has known wars between brethrens speaking the same language, but of different religions. Catholic Croatians during WWII have launched many deadly raids against both Orthodox Serbians and Muslim Bosnians with Hitler's blessings. Milosevic is quite obsviously a defunct war criminal, but a criminal who only acted out his own personal prejudices. So did Mladic, who's still to be captured and who'll most probably also die in his cell when he is. Things have a way to get very difficult to understand when it comes down to looking at Balkanic behaviour, I guess.

Prejudice is the keyword, folks. Nvere, ever lend an ear to prejudice, if you don't want to wind up killing innocent people out of your own hand and in cold blood.

    Cheers, all! :(

  5. I only know the date 06/06/06 (6o'clock 6th June) is birth of Satan, is it?

    Hey,

Guess it comes from St John's Book of Revelations. The Evangelist states somewhere in it that 666 is the so-called Number of the Beast.

I look forward to seeing you right here after this coming June 6th, 2006, folks,

    Cheers, all :(

  6. Okay, I just got through getting rid of some "MovieLand" thing that installed itself onto my computer. Geez, these things bug me! According to it, because I "installed" it, I now have to pay a $90 fee to make the popups go away! I was just about ready to sue! I finally downloaded the Yahoo toolbar to get rid of it, though...

But my main point here is, why do these adware people do this? Are they just genuinely slime? I mean, their entire job would be making other people's life miserable, so that they can advertise for some company! Now the last thing I want to do is go out and buy winfixer, or anything else I heard about through adware!

    Hey Mortanis,

I can only come in strong support to what was said by Nova Terra. YOU DON'T WANT TO GET WINFIXER. Period. That stuff stinks.

Otherwise, I think you've got the whole panel of sensible advices between this post and yours.

    Cheers all! :(

  7. So I went outside to wait for my bus, where the windchill was well below minus fifteen (already official criteria to close the school for the day). My bus is scheduled to come at seven thirty three. Ten minutes later. Fifteen minutes later. Our bus still hasn't come, and we are on the street corner freezing our butts off and protecting our selves against the harsh wind. Finally our bus came at about eight o'clock, and we were all sopping wet and frozen.
So, what's the result of this? Right now, instead of being at school, I am in bed. Why? Because I am ill from standing out in the cold for a half hour yesterday.

Lol Semeticsister, kinda now Minneapolis and surroundings, and guess what? I DO BELIEVE WHAT YOU WRITE IS TRUE :( .

I hope everything will turn turn up fine for you and that you get outa bed asap. You live in a fine area, nonetheless, and it would be a shame not to take full advantage of that.

    Cheers! :(

  8. Maybe it's just me, or my personality type (INFP) but I am constantly looking at the meaning ofthings, themes, people and relationships. It is vastly a part of who I am, but I was just wondering how
many of you here in this forum think about the same things. Do you wonder about where you are going and where you have been and where you are going to end up? Do you ever wonder if your dreams are going to be fulfilled and how do you go about getting what you want?

Are there some things in your life that you find more fulfilling or are there things that you do when you feel down? For me sometimes I write poetry, sometimes I write music. Sometimes I think about things that make me happy to try to get me through to the next best place. And when I am working hard toward my future and it seems too hard, I try to imagine what it is going to be like when I have accomplished my goal or goals.

I am deeply philosophical in nature-any thoughts or posts would be greatly appreciated.

Well, Trekken, I'm not the right person to address this type of question. I can't find a meaning to Life as such, in general terms. For example, God is to my sight so elusive a notion that I would be at pains to say it is The Answer, although I'm a believer myself.

I can give you a personal tip, though. It's how things seem to work to give a meaning to Life. Oddly enough the simple answer is : Love. Admittedly, Love can assume strange shapes, indeed. Also, you have to take into account Love's dark shadow which is Hatred.

Earth is circling 'round the Sun just to abide an elementary form of Love which is called gravitation. So do the stars congregating in beautiful galaxies.

The first cell, as we know them, that ever came up alive seems to have been a combination of TWO separate "things" that put their resources in common for the best or the worst. I like to think that each and every cell in my organism is the result of some kind of love between two entities totally alien to one another.

Even diseases like cancer seem to proceed from a somewhat exaggerated kind of love. Haphazzardly multiplicated cells with the wrong DNA look to me like some cells start *fuc...* around without a purpose, as some of their human counterparts do. Replication in cells is blindingly a Love mechanism.

I can't think of any kind of relationship in this World which doesn't bring up the matter of Love (and Hatred).

Now, don't get me wrong. I'm not a late follower of the "Peace and Love" things of the '70's. I'm simply expressing what life taught me. If this world of ours is to survive at all, it will come through Love.

Sorry if this can appear somewhat obscure. Please feel free to object, all of you folks.

    Cheers :(

  9. I just bought a book written by nostradamus, it contains all of his sayings. Almost all of his sayings have been true so far. He predicted That there will be two dictactors for france and germany and there were mussolini and hitler. His predictions about thwo world wars was true, He lived in 1564, how can someone predict a world war 3 , When even 1 and 2 have not even taken place, crazy isn't it. He also predicted that there will be bin laden that will rock the world, and also he predicted 9/11 attacks, he said that there will be two long buildings and the country will be the most powerful, USa. and something like this more.
And the main thing he predicted world war 3 , he made prediction something like The begin of a new century there will be a war, new century 2000 , and he gives the dates as 2006-2012, this is a prediction we all doesn't want to come true. Anyway this French men was great isn't he. His predictions are really beyond science understanding

I want to talk about more on this topic? please reply.

Hi there amitojduggal, thanks for bringing up the topic,

Mmmhhh, if I may, Mussolini would be misplaced in your list. He used to be an Italian dictator, not a French. The French had one of their own brand, mellower, but criminal as well, going by the name of Philippe Pétain at that time.

Now, I have been through his writings in the original text, as it happens that I can read the language written at that time. The least I could say is his verses are unforgivingly obscure, and munching them carefully hardly brings any light to what he's supposed to predict. Whatever he writes is purposedly so misleading that it can be interpreted only AFTER the events took place, but not BEFORE. What is a prediction that is fed by our willingness to make it a prediction : a hoax, if you ask me.

All scholars who bent on his writings agree that the only thing that could have been correctly foresighted out of his writings is what he said about King Louis XVI's capture in Varennes, during the French Revolution. Now, any misplaced enthusiasm should be confronted with the fact that what you say about WW 3 was supposed to begin in the seventh or eigth month of the year 1999. Plus an obscure reference to a rightful heir of the French Monarchy. I fail to recollect any significant event at that point in time that could give rise to a World War, indeed. Any political mishap could these days, you know, including Iraq's invasion. And that did not happen in July or August, 1999. And, shortsighted as I am, I can't fathom a rightful heir to the former French Monarchy looming around.

If you'd think that Nostradamus is an odd predictor, I'd gladly go along with your opinion, but I'd rather not take sides about the accuracy of what he said.

    Cheers, all! :(

  10. Say twista, you got a greaaaaat topic there! I think that guy Arthur C. Clarke is one of the greatest sci-fi author ever, aside from being a top-notch scientist.I've read to my recollections :Tales from the White HeartChildhood's EndEarthlight The Nine Billion Names of GodThe Songs of Distant EarthThe Defenestration of Ermintrude Inch... and I've seen 2001, A Space Odyssey, of courseThanks for bringing up the topic.Cheers all, chums :(

  11. Guys: Do little things to make girls feel special. We like to have stories to tell our friends. Don't expect us to NOT tell our friends, and try to suck up to them because their opinions mean a lot to us. Don't be too sexual. Don't look at our boobs when we're talking. Concetrate on what we're saying, not our butts. Don't act like we're pieces of meat. Don't be too emotional but don't be too un-emotional... Just be in between. Make us laugh!! :P

Lol, Inyourarms, I'm a rather elder fox and I usually stand by every rule in this book of yours with a girl. I'm not too bad in that respect...
Still, my last gf insisted right from start that she just wanted to "check the goods", and that's exactly what she did. Pieces of meat can be found both sides, tell ya.
I guess fairness in relationships is the key. Is this word still understood? I dunno.
    Cheers

  12. The Issue:

The U.S. Judicial Courts have requested search records from the major search engines (including google, yahoo, aol according to the article) to submit search records in order to prove that child pornography is possible to find on the internet with little trouble. According to the department of justice, they won't read the documents in a more then cursory way. However, Google is not complying with the courts' requests, because it says it wants to protect the privacy of it's users. Also, Google has said that they face the loss of business if their users find out about Google giving the courts access to the records. Other search engines including Yahoo, MSN and AOL have already complied with the request.

    Food for thought:

What should the search engines have done?

How great is the first ammendment's "trump" of other laws?

Does/Should freedom of speech have limits? Who should decide them?

Smartbei, if I may be so bold as asking, as an additional item to this "food for thought" list of yours :

    - Who will be warden of these self-appointed wardens?

I seem to recall an old French saying that goes : "Fish always start rotting from head to tail". I don't believe in hunting small game animals. The problem lies rather where the top dogs hide.

    Cheers, all!

  13. I am a Catholic and we do not "worship" Saints. We only pray to them for guidance and to pray for us. Same thing with the Virgin Mary, we do not consider her as God-like and we do not worship her. We only pray to them for guidance and to pray for us.

Right CroSpartacus, I used to be a Roman Catholic and I've never bent knees in front of any Saint I can recall of, even Virgin Mary.

Well, even if I'm no longer much of a Roman Catholic (being excommunicated), I mourn on that stupid legend among Protestants that Saints are to be "worshipped" among Catholics. I can't name one Catholic around me that would go along with that kind of silly fairy tale. It's more like being jailed without being given a fair trial.

Let's talk together, friends, and try to forget prejudices we haven't forged out of our own experiences. I, for one, had surprisingly good talks discussing their faiths with Protestants, as well as with Jews and Muslims. I'm fairly sure that many Protestants (or atheists for all that) would be surprised to know what's really on honest Catholic minds.

Is the discovery of truth so scaring that nobody wants to take the first step? I dare any Protestant to find the truth about it, and I won't be the only one to call up the challenge, I'm certain of that.

And, oh! I just forgot, my children were raised in the Protestant faith, and we're getting along quite well together. You just try telling 'em I'm "worshipping" Saints, and you'll get a biiiig knowing grin in return.

Prejudice has a way to speak up while knowledge is silent, folks. Not a matter of faith, rather of human nature.

    Cheers, all!

  14. One of these major things that happend on the net all the time is on many only games there are several people who claim to love each other but they say they dont know each other in real life. I have a good question, how the heck is it possible to love someone on the internet that you do not know, have never seen their face, never even been with them in real life. Just about every game I play theres some wedding for people getting fake marriages but they don't even know each other! Its like going up to a total stranger you do not know and asking them to marry you. I can't believe how many people don't really know what love is. Love is a a lot more serious thing then most people think. You may "like" someone on the net but when your just reading their posts and such, how do you get to know them much? All you basically know is a tiny bit about maybe 5% of their true personality. Im very shy in real life, you would have never known that if I didn't tell you that. What are your opionions about "Loving"someone on the internet?

Well, from what I get personally, I have an odd feeling that, although many people tend to cheat on the net, some of them happen to express true emotions they wouldn't convey even to to their closest relatives or friends. I suspect it all comes from anonymity, let's call it that.

I'm quite surprised to get to know at times that girls (I haven't had that for boys) will tell me on private talks on the net that they have been raped, without any poking of mine. Now, is it true, really, I dunno. But somehow, I guess some people need to vent out what load they have on their mind. It's a cold, cold world out there, you know.

Now, I ask : are you sure, I mean *DAMN* sure, that the person you meet in actuality, ie in The REAL world, is REAL? I've had opportunities to suspect that fakery is as common a pratice in the REAL world as in the virtual one. A sobering thought, at best.

    Cheers!

  15. I think that EPXLINS it all.. :P

Lol OpaQue, I can give you a cost-effective tip for free : whenever ready to date a girl by mail, just give yourself a moment to take a hard look at the way she spells her words. If you don't, I'd bet she will do that for you on her side, anyway, if she has got an ounce of brains.

Usually, it's kinda sobering. Plus you can avoid a lot of problems and misunderstandings looming ahead. Weirdos tend to write weird these days.

    Cheers, all

  16. So, if anyone has everyone gotten to know me, they would know that i have a pretty messed up mind. Sometimes, i dont even want to think because i cant always control what i think about ,and i honestly scare myself. But i can control it more when i am awake. But when i fall alseep, my mind is left uncontrolled, and i cant controll what i think... and i have the worst dreams. ....
Im just sick of having creepy/messed up dreams. :P

Jasper, from everything I've seen that you wrote in the past, you seem to be a rather bright and balanced young fellow. Granted I don't know you personally, but I would hardly suspect a messed up mind in what you expressed up to now.

Now, weird dreams have a way to creep around. It's quite normal that an evolved mind should take odd ways to sort out a day's experiences. I'm not good for giving advices, although I'd take it more quietly if I were in your shoes. It simply goes along with being mentally on the wake more than is usual. Been there and back, you know, no huhuh. Usually, it takes first getting to terms with oneself. You've got the wisdom to do it, young man, I think.

    Cheers all!

  17. Now this is such a crazy story.
Let me first by saying that I'm 100% sicilian and speak it and I was looking for a 100% italian girl who speaks it too.
    ....
Wow I can't believe how i was fooled. Anyway I needed to confront this girl who scammed me this whole time. So me and my sis drove 2 to PA.. first we met the girl whos picture it really was.. She was very nice. then we drove to the pizzeria where her cousin was and I was like can i speak to carmen in which she told me her name was gabriella. And i'm like you cant be doing this kinda stuff.. You lucky i'm a good guy others could do some damage. she was left dumbfounded and was like what are you talking about.. her scam has been caught.

Well onto the other girl.. I wanted to meet the other girl again.. in which i did i drove 2 hrs again to hangout.. but the drive really hurts so I never hung out again.

too bad though she was a nice girl.. and I winded up marrying a non italian. and thats the life.

Joey, I'm suspecting you've got some kind of funny karma hanging upon you

I deeply sympathize. Now, wouldn't it be safer to take a blunderbuss (a stout sicilian caretaker, I'm told) along with you when you go chatting? Them girls are are really somethin' these days.

    Cheers, all! :P

  18. Lol buddy, you should try selling that one to George Clooney to make a screenplay out of it. Now, aren't them modern girls (at least some of 'em...) prepared to play any tricks on us males? Feel rested that the lass you've been talking about is not the only trickster around, tell ya. Worse! Some of 'em don't even trick a guy for money, just for the fun of it, or perhaps to spend time instead of hanging around alone.I got a sneaky feelin' though that you hit the right mark in saying she was a psycho of sorts. A benign variety, I guess. Glad you got out of it with your money back. That was indeed a good one, jeez! Thanks for telling it around :P

  19. Eating chicken should still be safe, as long as you're in the US. Like someone wrote above, cook your bird well...don't eat raw chicken...and if any flying animal with feather starts acting sick, don't touch it. The real worry is transmission to human. It might already be happening to some extent, and "a businessman" from the US can catch it and transmit it to whomever he comes in contact with in America. That's the real worry.

Lol Kim, I don't recall having seen recently anybody eating raw poultry meat, but that's beside the point. The current paranoia comes indeed from the assumption the virus could mutate and lead to direct human-to-human infection. There's no basis for thinking that the mutation has already occured or will occur, but there are so many odd birds in this world of ours that you'd never know the reasons why that "businessman" you're speaking about might have got the avian flu.

I say, beware the businessmen!, you all, folks

    Cheers, all!

  20. Well you'd think Bush would be smarter then this....well, that'd be something new. It is so stupid...we are at war. You don't just give a large port to someone who is near the war you are fighting. We don't even know if they are good or not. Its just another political move I think.

Now, now Htdefiant, I'm surprised you'd be surprised. Selling a large US port to Arab Emirates is less of a threat than having sold for years untold Treasury Bonds to China to sustain the US economy. Money has no citizenship, far as I know, and shortsightedness has become soooo commonplace for politicians these days. Now you may want to think it twice over next time you vote, that is in 2008, if I'm not mistaken

    Cheers, all!

  21. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
There's... not much else to say. It's because of a superstitious belief. The article implies that they will be able to divorce.

Well, kinda weird if you ask me, but as you say, this is India. Can't say I'm entitled to emit an educated opinion on that subject, though.

Still, the question remains: did the girl's family give a dotage to the dog's family, as is mandatory in these parts for a marriage between humans?

    Cheers, all
