  1. yeah i tired that, it seemed liek an amazing concept, iw as like "woah free live?!?" but... sadly it was either complicating or i was not willing enough, and i never got it to work:( oh well time to put the new xbox 360 to use if i get it:P
  2. my first computer was the commador 64, it was amazing, i loved playing ghost busters on it, it had some REAL GREAT titles, it booted up in a dos mode and you needed to run commands. I forget the exact specs of it, but i still have it laying around, actually maybe a couple of them, including tones of accessories they came out with, like external tape drives, COLOR printer:P stuff liek that!
  3. Hey PK! im sure you will like the community at Xisto, i sure have and ive only been a member for a few days! Dont be shy and discuss anything you like on the boards, as their are many different topics to talk in. I hope Xisto id for you, and i hope Xisto gives you a worm welcome like im trying to do:P Welcome to Xisto PK!
  4. actually yeah, it definatelly is lacking some color... it's just to plain right now... spruce it a bit up with mild tones that are not dark nor too bright, pleasing color's/relaxing like truefusion suggested
  5. they didnt put a dvd player because they wanted to secue their system from mods which would allow to play copyed games, well in order to play copyed games even if you had a mod for GC, you would need a special burner just for their disks IMO...
  6. i use this aswell, though i kinda felt forced to use it as some ebsites require IE... if they didnt, i would have most likely been using another browser though imo.

i personally do not like steam, at all...ever since it came out it made the games run slower, for sure. Back when i used to play on my p3 866, i could run that game smoothe and perfect, then when steam came out, i could no longer play the game... now that i have a new comp, i can play it(the new one) and i do have it, i just dont like it becuse their are too many hackers... my fav of all time game is battlefield 1942/2
  8. i use a creative zen micro player, wayyyyyy better than an ipod in too many ways(except for the new ones with video etc) it's 5 GB, can be partitioned and used as a storage device on ANY computer, has built in radio, built in time, contacts, outlook sync, it glows bright blue indigo and does a "breathing" effect when i charge it. I picked it up off some guy from a forum for only 200$ brand new in box mint:P
  9. if im not mistaken, all plasma's are hdtv compatible, and are even greater quality than hdtv, in any case, if it does not work, no doubt xbox will release a new cable specifically for plasma, if not than im sure monstercable will produce one. Dont worry.
  10. i also have a moded xbox, it was well worth the money, allthough i didnt use my xbox much.... i forget which specific chip i got installed but it was a generation 3 chip, that could be turned off and on if you wanted to play xbox live without being cought. When you go on-line MS actually scan's your system, and apprently if you have a softmod etc and you go online with it, they can permanently make your system useless by modifing it through instructions when you connect....
  11. i dont see anything wrong with the website either, it seems fien to me, except that you have to scroll to the left more, which means their is an allignment problem...
  12. i actually just recieved an e-mail from them about news on the development, i checked out what their working on, and the game is looking very promising. When the new patch is released(within a couple of weeks as they stated) all accounts will be wiped/reset, which i think i sa great opportunity for people to join the game, as you can start off on the right foot. I think when i hear of the official patch release i will join/play this game again. It had a wicked concept in a video game that was really unique and original, some things needed to be fixed, but hopefully they are now. These of course are all just toppings on an allready beatifully made game:P
  13. Ok i see, i guess what im trying to ask is if our school can have a sub domain, but as a user allready, i was planning on making a personal website aside from the school, so how would i go about doing this? Can i get 2 hosted? do i have to post for 2? errr... how would this be done/what should i do/what can you offer?
  14. I am writing this letter because my school is in need of a domain/host for our first year of starting the ESP program.I was wondering, if by chance, that Xisto would be so kind as to be a host/provide a domain for our program at our school to get our words out, and for use as an organizational meeting place to discuss issues aswell as publish our meeting times, informations, mission statements and agenda's.It's ok if you do not want to host us, but it's worth a shot me asking:PI am in desperate need of a host as i am in charge of creating a website for the team at our school.Let me start of by explaining what ESP is.EEmpowering students plan, organize and execute yearlong safe schools initiative in their local schools and communities.SStudents are empowered to take the necessary steps or actions to solve problems specific to their school with the option of utilizing programs or guest speakers, available to them through the Police Coordinator at Community Programs, Youth Services.PPartnerships are student led between the Toronto Police Service, the Canadian Safe School Network, ProAction, The City of Toronto, The Toronto District Schoolboard, le Conseil scolaire public de district du Centre-Sud-Ouest, and le Conseil scolaire de district catholique Centre-Sud.Our Objectives:-Be proactive in the fight against crime and adress safety concerns in their school and community-Actively participate in safe schools initiatives across the city.-Stand up against relationship violence and drug abuse.-Create best practices for making schools safe-Prevent violence and gang domination-Take a stand against Bullying-Erase graffiti and mischief-Liaise with police, school staff and community members-STAND UP FOR SAFE SCHOOLS!We create a safe school environment, reduce crime and victimization in our school and community, increase school spirit and moral and we change our school culture to "it's cool to care"-----Well, i hope this can explain to some extent as to what we do and what our purpose is. It would be extremely helpful if my school (George Harvey Collegiate Institute)'s ESP group could have a home of their own on the net:)Thanks for your time!
  15. it's true what you say... they could have just simply done a very poor job on the game or releasing it too soon. I dont think i have tried the game, i have tried a few of the medal of honor games but only casually. I wish i could myself give my view on the A.I but i cant:( I guess some games are poorly done in some aspects and great in others. Their must be some great aspects to the game:P
  16. ok so, i think i kind of understand. As long as i do not provide instructions, links to manufactor'ers etc or provide any information on how to's... i will not be getting into any trouble? So for example, lets say if i just make the site, which will be used to promote my installation services (of the mods) and to basically give out my contact info and features etc, is this considered legal? Like it wont get Xisto in trouble will it? I live in canada so i am unformiliar to U.S laws... heh can you guys clarify on this?
  17. Well, let me start off by saying i am planning on making a website related to xbox360 modifications, helping people with information on chips, modz, programmes anything and everything related to modifications(is this allowed?)Also, within my website i want to advertise myself for mod chip installaations(is this allowed?)In a round about way thats what i want the content to be...I would like to know if this is allowed or not so that when i do build the site, i dont get banned. Thanks
  18. i am a guy, but i vote for #2, as it is the most unique of them all. Yes the stone setting could be better in #2, but, overall, it is the most unique. Personally i think uniqueness counts the most when getting someone a gift, they love you that much more for it!
  19. unfortunatelly, a pro programmer, especially for A.I in the video game industry, is extremely sought after... their arent enough of them, and they cost ALLOT! They are essentially the most payed on a production team. Creating realism is one of the hardest things to achieve, years of development have led to a certain amount of realism, but really we have yet to achieve/simulate half of true realism. Yes their are some great games in comparison to the game your talking about, but it all depends on the production team, their budgets, and the amount of available pro programmers specificlly advanced in A.I.Also, game developers must make a judgement call to do with game A.I and how it interacts with the user/majority of users, they try and make a medium for difficulty etc which is really hard to balence out. They dont want to make games thata re too hard, nor too easy, which requires extensive testing, beta's and suvey's
  20. from what ive heard, the reasoning behind the destruction is from african's wanting to be traeated equally, they are rioting because they get payed less etc...that being said, if what i have heard is true, i think this is an extremely selish act, and what in fact they or ANY race for that matter is doing, is only tarnishing their race even more. Want to solve an issue within society? then act in accordence with society's laws, belief's and values... their are other ways of expression and protest that can be achieved peacefully, such as rally's, publications, poetry, arts...get your word out for change through the many forms of art to reach the people, in a civilized fasion. By resorting to means of destruction, your only destroying your chances of change, not getting change.
  21. I actually participated int his game for roughly 2 months or so, it's concepts are just mindblowing, it really is a fun game and it starts to take over your life... i was the leader of a clan i created called MFH, mercenaries for hire, essentially our main purpose in the game was to be bounty hunters... we would go in with approx 30 men, blast a whoel city down for 1 guy, send the screen pics back to usually a wealthy miner that the jobw as done, we would basicaly assasinate anyone anywhere and shoot down anyone who interferes, including the cops. Our main enemy's were MIB (men in black) a rich clan of miners who would pray on innocents and take over sections of the city, they were prob the most known gang in the game and most hated, but allmost unstoppable. Anyways after playing for a couple months i decided to quit, politics in the game got wayyy to out of hand, leaders were corupt assigning missions to allow cops and the army to shoot down any MEC's(mercenaries of the blood = me) or Brother's... I got really far in the game and was pritty well known, my name was TriggerFinger, and i think i was 4th in command or 3rs, i knew all of the leaders of the entire MEc's and i could assign my own global missions to carry out for my own personal clan to hunt down people or secure parts of the city... The game takes ALLOT of time, and you must participate daily, you MUST make a name for yourself... in my opinion it was one of the best mmporg's/fps hybrid's out their, but their were problems that needed to be fixed that never got fixed, which is also one of the reasons why i left... first off, the hitbox segments in the game were inncurate, 2nd off sitting in the *darn* revive chambers or whatever when you die you gotta sit their for over 10 mins... it simply got on my nerves... Oh well, last i heard someone took over my clan, i decided to check back a couple of months after i quit, only to find that nobody knew me, and my clan was taken from me(im ok with that, it just makes me mad that someone cant make their own) maybe things have gotten better in the game, ill have to try it out again and see how far the developers have progressed...
