I love firefox, all i have is the top toolbar, and the adress bar - this makes it as slim as possible; what it was meant to be. even though this is nice, i also like the normal mozilla.

Hmm, as you have seen in my first post of this thread, i had been working on a rocket thing. I have now rendered it pretty nicely actually. It went slow as i still had homework but this was the first 'hard' thing i ever bothered to finish. I made two shots, side and top. Side is best i think. Here they are, the color is better than in the beginning, what do you think? Are they better than before? For a person who only started this saturday working with 3ds (so im a newbie), how do i rate? Normally i hate grunge, but thid time i like it! I like it because it's not just simple scratches, this one has detail; you can see the house/castle in htte back. This it the best grunge i have seen well done, you deserve a thumbs up!

I made 'http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/; that image real quick as a test abstract, it'ss very easy after i learnt how to distort stuff. Don't think too much or too little of it, im a baginner and this is simple; use as wallpaper ! I'll be making more, this is part of my learning progress. I only got the missile batteries from somewhere else, i was looking how to 'subtract' shapes from other shapes, in truespace you overlap two shapes and do 'subtract from...', in 3ds max i have to do it with a boolean mode thing. I wanted to make the missile batteries but to do that i'd have to hollow 3 cilinders from a square (i saw them on some helicopter). I started of making a ground missile launcher but i evolved it into this. Right now i turned it into a plane. I'd appreciate the extra textures thanks! :PAfter looking at your site i looked at my work and went - i still have a lot to learn, in terms of modelling etc. I don't know much about programming, nothing actually, so i don't see how i would put em into motion. I love the walking guy that looks like a warhammer figure. What program do you use? How do you get that cool shadow effect? What lights do you use and where do you place them? Plus you have a very smooth render.

About mac not being upgradable, that's true, but it looks nice - and that's it. I happened to stumble upon a fake mac commercial which is biased of course, it is making fun of mac and not official. I love the idea, yet for normal average working class people it will be pricey. Not everyone will be able to enjoy the full effect of the a380. I saw it a while back on discovery and i was like : "whoa!" - but i or my family can't afford it. If i get a good job after i study, i'll just takea a normal place to thailand (i really want to go again, i went when i was a kid).

The reasonwhy i don't like the white backround is because it blends with the shading - then the spaceship looks weird. Yeh, because of the material it looks 2d. When i do propper materials and lights it'll look better!

Mac mini, cheap - but that's it, how much is a new mac screen and mac keyboard + mouse going to cost you? You can buy a barebone pc that's faster, more harddisk, better overalll for cheaper! Ipod shuffle is a cheap thing actually, 1gb of songs, to get to track 100 you have to press next 100 times! Only apple could sell technology 4 years old and get away with it. Just get a cheaper mp3 player where you can easily navigate to song 100, don't let apple get away with it.

Ulead programs are pretty good, dunno about photoimpact, see if there are similar tools and then check the result.

Ok, as you may have heard, i wanted to make a better logo in 3d but couldn't - i dont know how to model a server. I took some time time and in one day i learnt a lot. This model of a rocket ship is not done yet and just for kicks i used a ink & paint material. When i'm done i will use better materials and better lighting. I still have to add a gun and a rocket engine. The two square things are rocket batteries. Keep in mind, ive only had one days experience which is impressive for me at least. The images: I'll be back with more. For a newbie, how nice is this? PS: the models are very poor examples, i shouldn't have chosen a white backround.

Cinema 4d is easier? Damn, i have to try it. 3ds max gets easier, i've been working on it for one day and i'm pretty much used to it. I still want to find out how to model a face but all u have to do is pull it into shape.

Yes it was, blender is difficult, so is 3ds max but after working with different programs i know the basic functions. Ps is easy and i want to start 3d.

Hmm, i like the whole anime theme but wasn't able to find your avatars. Anyway, i made some graphics too in 3ds max under the material ink and paints (to make it look sketchy). It's a rocket i made, im a super beginner but am trying to learn more complicated stuff. To tell the truth, i don't like it much either, it is too cartoony. Too wintery. I have now found out how to split a face in 3ds max, i have also succesffully created a cool lcd screen. I messed around with swift3d v4, truespace 6 and strat before so getting used to 3ds max went quickly now. I think thath, being able to create 3d objects that i could make my logos a lot better!

I seriously suck at painting whereas you're good, well done. I will open up a deviant art account if i can ever learn 3ds max, i have it but am a super noob and still need to harness the skill of making a sphere.

I hate hip-hop, well at least the stuff like 50cent, eminem; it's all so hyped and commercial. I prefer the good old cypress hill and afroman. This is just my opinion.

Ok, i had a spurt of creativity and came up with this logo: http://www.tubee.net/ Comments anyone? Out of 10? I think this is my better side, better than my second logo in this thread. But, what do you think- should i lay off the 3d (its been done over a gazillion times), it does look good but, what do you think? Why don't we all make cool logos to give each other inspiration, or just ideas?

hey that one looks pretty nice, the text looks really cool, how exactly did you get that effect? do you use photoshop or something else? nice work dude..By Bash = I most certainly did use photoshop, what else? It's actually very simple ; select the text layer CTRL+click and then create new laeyer, i get marquee and put it on subtract mode, in the remaining area i fill with white and reduce opacity. Easiest effect possible actually but it can turn out real nice! Pixel fonts are really nice, like in the corner saying JaVe Incorporated or whatnot, just don't overdo it. Haettenscweiler is good (whatever it is called). Weekend now and my exams are over, i'm gonna create some more WAHOO!!
