  1. The winning request is Cerebral Stasis for the credits. Sorry it took so long, the transfer credits page at Xisto.com/process wasnt working. I contacted Xisto Corporation about it here: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ The Xisto helpdesk said that thirty of the credits couldnt be transferred. It was a way to protect from site deletion (which meant that I could only transfer 10 credits). So instead, I am giving Cerebral Stasis my account at Xisto with 40 credits on it. I am going to PM Cerebral Stasis the password. Thank you everyone for participating.
  2. I agree, those rules are likely to reduce confusion. If I like the banner but not the button (or the other way around), 20 credits will be awarded for the creation I like. The other graphic will still be open for completion. 40 credits is a significant amount. So yeah, you can get started on it if you want the credits. First come, first serve! Good luck!
  3. Hello alegna and welcome to Xisto. I hope Xisto's free hosting services will work out for you as a web developer and wish you luck with your site design. Happy New Year to you too.-Professor Kirby
  4. Hello zedisha, and welcome to Xisto.com! My advice for you is to try and make longer posts, that way you can receive more credits for them. We hope you enjoy the forum facilities and free web hosting here.- Professor Kirby (PK in short)
  5. Hello Qube, and welcome to http://forums.xisto.com/. Xisto offers professional web hosting services for free (with no ads, cPanel 10, and all the other goods put together ). On behalf of the rest of the forums, we would like to extend a warm welcome to you and hope you'll enjoy the community. Also, good luck with your site and coding endeavors, I wish you all the best. - Professor Kirby (PK in short, webmaster of shootingstarhaven.com/)
  6. (Credits will be transferred from https://support.xisto.com/) ----- Now that I have purchased a domain name and web hosting for my site, I am no longer in need of Xisto's services. However, because I am in need of a banner and button graphics for my site, I am proud to be offering my remaining 40 credits for the completed requests. The banner will be worth 20 credits and the button is also worth 20 credits. They both must be done in Photoshop and match my site (http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/). Additionally, here are the specifications for my requests. Banner - 20 credits: Text: Shooting Star Haven (on left side of banner) Size: 700 x 100 pixels Background: Custom Designed to match my site. Button - 20 credits: Text: SSH Size: 88 x 31 pixels Render: Custom Designed Background: Custom Designed to match my site. Border: Custom Designed to match my site These requests must be professionally done and look nice, in order to receive the full amount of points. Results must be equivalent to the graphics made at http://www.bannershop.com.hk/. Also note that the graphics must also match my site (http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/). Credits will be awarded from Xisto.com/process after the images have been posted here and results are satisfactory. Thank you for your interest in this offer. - Shooting Star Haven (shootingstarhaven.com)

  9. Dear Anarchyboard88,From what I've learned hanging around here, after you apply for hosting, you'll have to cumulate credits to keep your site up (one credit equals to one day). Once you reach anything below zero (-1, -2, etc.), your site will be suspended. All the information will still remain intact, but you have to regain the credits until it reaches the positive numbers (1, 2, etc.), when it'll soon be automatically unsuspended. Don't let your credits get to -30, that's when your site gets deleted. If you have a problem and can't tend to your site, then you can temporarily put up Xisto's flash banners, which will ensure your site to not get deleted (if the Administrators see their banners on every page, they won?t delete your site). The flash banners can be found in the Announcements section (also go there for more info). Likewise, if you don?t feel like posting in the forums, Xisto.net is also another option. They don?t have the Advanced Cpanel and the features that let you control every aspect of your site like Xisto.com, but it?s still do-able. My advice to you is to choose what you like based on your resources.Best,Professor Kirby (PK)
  10. One thing I notice amoung today's youth is that teenagers don't get enough sleep at night. Studies show, teenagers need at least nine hours of sleep every day. Some teenagers have even went as far as bragging about their lack of sleep. Some teens think people who sleep are lazy, and waste time. They are sometime subconsciously tricked into believing that. Well guess what: it's a proven fact that A-students get 45 minutes more sleep on average than C-students. Lack of sleep is a great hindrance to one's growth and education. So how do you get enough sleep at night? Here are some suggestions: 1. Eat whole grain foods, chicken, fruits, and don't skip breakfast. I remember when last year, I couldn't wake up early enough to eat breakfast and I had greasy pizza and hamburgers at lunch with a bunch of junk food and candy on the side. The problem with sugar is that based on the Biological structure, sugar gives you a high amount of energy for a short period of time and suddenly drops down. So you end up more tired. 2. Don't use the computer past 7:30. And avoid bright lights. The light emitted from your computer interferes with sleep-inducing chemicals in your head. And also, most people who say they're aren't afraid of the dark really are. Train yourself not to be. Don't use the night light! 3. Wind down at 8:00. Avoid strong brain activity. Do something boring like History homework or reading (just not math, do that earlier). You'll end up feeling tired at 9:00 and sleeping like a baby for the night. 4. When it's time to sleep, close your eyes. If you're not feeling tired, don't watch television. Read! That raises IQ. Ari Bruening, one of the 13 students in the United States who got a perfect score on the Standardized Tests (SATs), said: I hope this guide will help you sleep at night. And I hope it helps you succeed easier in life as well. Notice from BuffaloHELP: Topic moved from General Talk to Health Talk.
  11. I sometimes see Xisto members complaining about spending hours a day in an attempt to sustain hosting credits. This is especially true in the reviews. It really isn't that hard. Here's my advice on doing so efficiently.1. The number of posts you make at Xisto doesn't determine how many credits you receive. The staff even announced it, and it should be quite obvious, really. Credits are determined by the content and quality of your posts. Make longer ones, I guess.2. So how do I sustain a nifty amount of credits? First, set a time you can post at Xisto based on how much work you have to do otherwise. It can be even only in the weekends and in as little time as ten minutes. And that's all the time it takes to write a high quality post. In fact, I typed up a topic in five minutes. That gave me about seven credits. And those seven credits are all that's required to last the whole week.3. Remember, this is Xisto! I checked out Xisto (our partner site), and it's quite technical. Here, you don't have to worry about that kind of stuff. Xisto is more discussion-oriented. You enjoy connecting with other members and have fun doing so.4. Learn to type! This is quite a useful skill and because our society is becoming more computer literate, learning to type can become quite necessary in the future.5. Don't waste time. Your session in the trap forums should be coming here, clicking on a topic, gathering your thoughts, and sharing them. This is guaranteed to save you a lot of time.Using these skills has helped me use Xisto more efficiently. I'd also be glad if this helped you as well.If you have any suggestions for members on how to make the most out of their time in Xisto, please share them here. Notice from jlhaslip: Pinned at the request of a member. Feel free to un-pin if required
  12. My favorite show is South Park. I know that may seem sort of hypocritical for me to say that, since I'm Christian, but that's not really what I'm implying. It just means that I have a sense of humor. Some people take things a bit too seriously. I mean, people honestly believe if you watch shows that are a bit adult-oriented, you're going to end up as some psycho. Although that is quite true for shows like Family Guy, it isn't that way in particular. Some people tend to imitate their favorite television character. Although that's really fun at times, and people generally do so necessarily when they're young, you're probably going to end up a laughingstock if you say something like, "Mmm, doughnuts..." To me, that's just stupid, and lacking in common sense. Yet that's entertainment, and it'll still live on as long as people continue liking it.
  13. There is no "dream game." It only depends on your preferences, really. The game you like really reflects on what your tastes are.Personally, I'm not a computer-game fanboy. I'm quite distasteful from the violence (I mean, with all those first-person-shooters). I like more family-oriented games, like the ones they have for GameCube. In short, there is no dream game. It really winds down to what you like. I'm sure no survival horror - first time I played Resident Evil: Outbreak File #2, I almost wet my pants!
  14. I've gone on many vacations. It's funny how when my family leaves, they're all happy but when we come back we're always fighting. But I've been on a number of lovely vacations. However, no matter how lovely they are, I somehow always find myself wanting to go home. There's no better thing than a vacation to show you how much you love being right at home with your family. I think that's the best vacation ~ right at home.
  15. I'd never change my eye color. I like it just the way it is. To be honest, my eye color isn't the most attractive. But I was born with it so I refuse to reject it. I'm religious so I ask myself, "How would God feel if I changed my eye color." I believe that God made me exactly the way he wanted. God loves me not because of my eye color. Not whether I have nice hair. Nor if I cover my face with makeup. God loves me just the way I am. Unconditionally.
