Sony has confirmed that PSP users will be able to run Skype on their PSP devices, and make free calls to other skype users and free calls to landline users. The catch is, of course, that you'll have to be in range of a wifi connection to enable this feature. The firmware upgrade is expected to be released in a few weeks time, and will only be for the new psp slim, which was released last year. Does anyone think that this is going to be a good competitor to the iPhone? It certainly has me interested in it. Sony also announced that they will release the Go!Explore GPS device to North American and European customers after a year of Japanese exclusivity. The device will allow PSP owners to use their device to navigate citys and might include some in-game functionality as well. Although Sony hasn't revealed a retail price, the unit is selling for the equivalent of $40 USD in Japan.

Not sure about the rest of the world where Dominos is located, but in the USA, Dominos has started a whole new marketing campaign around the whole "You Got 30 Minutes" idea. I was curious as to what they meant. I knew that in the past, they had an offer where if your pizza was delivered in over 30 minutes, you get it for free. So, is this another one of these deals? Well, their website has a disclaimer about this. On https://www.dominos.com/en/ if you look at the bottom of the page, you will see a legal disclaimer about the whole "You Got 30 Minutes" deal. It says: Because safety is a priority "You Got 30 Minutesâ˘" is not a guarantee but an estimate. You may get more. Must ask for offer. Minimum order required for delivery. This means that there's not even a guarantee that you'll get your piza in 30 minutes, because they can just say that safety was a priority when delivering your pizza. So what does this offer to the consumer? I guess it means that Dominos will try their very best to get you your pizza in 30 minutes. So, if you're trying to get a free pizza from Dominos, this might not be the way to do it. Best, Trinifawk

I'd go with the iPod touch over the Zune right now because of the wifi capabilities lacking in the Zune that are present in the iPod touch. However, the new version of the Zune, called the Zune2, is alot better than the current generation of iPod classics. They're clearly trying to market toward the younger generation with access to social networking being a main feature of the device, but come on... it sucks that you can't go online with the zune, even though it has wifi capabilities.I'll give it a few more months of firmware upgrades before I get a Zune. Wow. I've never heard of this game before, but it seems like you would have to be a real cycling buff to want to get this. I visited their website at http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ and it seems pretty cool. One thing that might indicate the success or popularity of this game, is the lack of console platforms for it to be played on. It's available for the Playstation Portable PSP and also for the PC. Their online forums seem pretty cool and you can go there to discuss the game and strategy, etc. If you go on this location, http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ you can download a playable demo of it. My computer doesn't have the requirements to be able to play it, but since I'm getting into cycling (gonna get my first road bike as soon as I can) I'll definitely check out the game. I know that Walmart photo center offers group photo rooms so that you can share your picture with other people. You can also order prints from there too... Winkflash is also a pretty good service too and you can share your photos on their website. If your friends have Facebook, you can authorize them to be able to print photos that you post up on there. You can create a facebook group and post pictures there. That's another convenient way to do it, since pretty much anyone can register for Facebook now that it's not limited anymore to college kids alone. Hope that helps!Best, Trinifawk

Walmart promises to have "Always low prices, always", but using their services has its disadvantages. Sometimes I just feel like Walmart really doesn't care about the consumers who shop there. I recently bought some Duracell batteries at Walmart, and on the cover said to see inside for a code to receive 20 free prints from their photo center. I open the pack of batteries, and there it was: A code to enter to receive the free prints. I go online on the walmart photo center website to order the free prints, and they tell me that the page cannot be displayed due to some internal error. This was AFTER I had entered my code. I try again, and they say that the code had already been used. I doubt that someone could have guessed my code to get free photo prints from walmart, so I decided to write to customer service. I explained my problem on their customer service page, and up to this day, 5 days later, I haven't received any sort of feedback from them. I plan on going into my local Walmart and asking the manager if I could receive my free prints. I don't know if it will work, but I could have just gotten my batteries at Target where customer service is alot better.I guess the lesson is if you're willing to shop at Walmart, then be willing to get bad service. Of course there are alot of "I love Xisto" posts because it's a really good service! It is difficult, however, to always find topic to post about. I don't really know of too much flaming that goes on around here, and everyone seems very accomodating when you ask questions. There must be some way to validate the intent of the posters who might just be innocently replying or creating topics. I understand that there are people from different countries posting on this forum, so what might be seen as unnecessary to some people might actually be useful to others. If you're interesting in learning about how to create a linux OS from scratch, check out this website: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/ If you're pretty good with coding, then you can have a lot of fun doing it. I wonder if there is any such solution for my ibook g3 700 laptop. The speakers sound wayyyyyyyy too soft. I would bet that your warranty would be messed up if you tweak your Mac like that, though. So best be careful.

I know that I'm answering your post late, but I do enjoy a good game of chess sometimes. I am very rusty though, so I may not be a match for someone who has won championships! I can't even manage to beat my computer at it. I just play the included version on my Mac. I go to some online websites like yahoo to play chess occasionally. I have personally seen the Jeorpardy powerpoint in action. It's very, very cool! Some of my classmates used it when doing a presentation and it was a lot of fun. As for tic tac toe, I have never seen that one before, but I'm pretty sure that it'll be fun. I don't know why you would want to play tic tac toe on powerpoint when you can just play with a pencil and paper =) but that's just me. I'm still unsure about how to create powerpoint games. As many people know, nothing really does come free! It takes time and money for people to invest in these types of technologies, tons of resources and manpower, and of course scientists don't work for free! I think that efficiency should be the move for the future, as the natural resources for oil and gas energy should run out in a matter of decades. Solar power is a great idea, and nuclear power is most possibly going to be the driving force of the future. I heard the president of the USA talk about nuclear power being the wave of the future, and I think that he's right. But to come back to topic. If you put the time and effort into creating technology that would enable energy to be created freely, you would most likely want to be rewarded with money for your efforts. Plus, energy can't just be created (according to theory). It can be transformed from one form to another. So, the cost of creating energy would be the transformation of another type of energy.

Well, it's pretty apparent to me that some of these websites have free hosting so that the users would want to eventually subscribe to some sort of upgraded service plan. I wouldn't think it's any different with this hosting service. Has anyone had any positive experiences with this host?At least with Xisto there's no catch. You know what you get upfront. I learned how to use html using a site I believe called davesite.com. It was very helpful, and although I'm still not very good at it, I'm glad I know how to make some basic web pages. I have to admit thought that I use frontpage and dreamweaver to create webpages. If I'm stuck on a computer without either of those two programs installed, I use html coding in notepad. But to answer your question, it took me about 5 days of playing around to become familiar with html. Best, Trinifawk

Mac OS has a unix core. So it's not entirely 'simple' and for simple minded people.Sure, you can probably train a monkey to use a Mac better than they would be able to use a windows machine, but it all comes down to preference. One of the benefits of owning a Mac is that 'it just works'. Everything is designed to run perfectly, or near perfectly, and in sync with each other. Hardware and software are very compatible, which is hard to accomplish on a PC when so many people manufacture different machines that can run the same OS (Windows). I guess that since Apple makes both the hardware and the operating system, I'll go with a Mac. The software is great for audio and video tasks, and I've been noticing a lot of new games popping up for the Mac. If you go on their website, you can get Guitar Hero 3 from there, along with other pretty cool games that you may have though would have been only for the PC or gaming consoles. That being said, I am using a windows machine right now because it's rather expensive to acquire a Mac. Best, Trinifawk

Hello everyone. I'm in the market for a free personal firewall to use on my Windows XP machine. I used to have Zone Alarm, but the most recent 'update' of it was trying to make me buy a copy from them. I guess that Zonealarm did away with their whole free firewall thing, so this leaves me kind of bummy.I have had this firewall on my computer for 3 years without any kind of problems, so I'm looking for some help in finding a new one, since I'm a bit out of touch with what's up to date these days. Some suggestions would be helpful. By the way, I'm not a big fan of the built-in Windows firewall, so I don't really plan on using it for long. Opera is what I use right now. I recently uninstalled my firefox because it kept crashing and my computer was acting really weird with it on. Other than that, I recently downloaded Safari for Windows, and it's working pretty well...and since IE 6 cannot be uninstalled from my computer, I have that in case nothing else works...

Reflecting on this a bit more, it's what you pay for technology of the future. It's what many people say shouldn't have been on the market for a few years, but it is now! Plus, unlike Microsoft's Zune, you can make use of your wifi connector on the ipod touch, and jump on a wireless connection and go on the web. I would say that for an email client, try out for free Mozilla Thunderbird to read your emails from any of the service providers that support SMTP or POP3 mails. I currently use Microsoft Outlook and Thunderbird, and even though Thunderbird is less fancy, it works better... Now what I think you're talking about is what email provider to use. Personally, I like to use gmail as my free service provider for emails. I have a hotmail account that's filled with spam, and my yahoo account has expired. But at least with gmail you know what you're getting...I think that they do collect your information though, to help with their advertising. My Opera works on this website, even though it says that its' not supposed to be supported. It's probably just some web designer who made that that way... Notice too that Mac OS is not supported and the only version of Windows is 32 bit versions. Mark 420 has a good point...-Trinifawk

I think what the original poster was saying is that their attempt to install Joomla on another host was unsuccessful. Joomla works pretty good on Xisto. I am a relatively inexperienced person when it comes to website making and php and all that stuff, but I was able to install it without too many hiccups. Good thing we live in the 21st century where cd and dvd burners are relatively inexpensive. When my cd burner started to croak, I decided to get an external dvdrw drive that I could use on both desktop and laptop, and also carry over to friends without dvd burner's places.you seem to have it covered though.
