  1. I know this post is 99.9% windows users but here is my $.02 worth for the mac users. I use cyberduck it is for mac and it is open source(FREE).
  2. No problem! I just started using it my self. so far it seems prety cool.
  3. I dont know what os you are using but audion is pretty good or a new one is songbird @ https://www.vindale.com/v/join3.jsp?cid=9540&s2=96662
  4. I was thinking of installing bootcamp on my mac but now that this is free I think that I will hold off untill the beta is over or untill lepord is released. Rumer has it bootcamp will be included with the final release.
  5. I am using both mac and windows machines right now and I would like to consolidate them. I am a realtor and my local MLS only supports IE6. IE 5.x for mac sucks so I have to use my windows machine for work and my mac for play:)
  6. All linux distros are ok to connect to the net. There should be no problem connecting to your modem. I use suse sometimes and I have a motorola adsl modem. Suse has probably the best security for your system because it is commercialy sold as well as open source.
  7. My vote is for mepis linux. Easy to install and debian based great os. It can be run from a live cd or installed on your hd.
  8. I am thinking of installing boot camp on my imac. Has any one installed it yet and do you have any tips. I have a copy of windows xp home sp2. Do you thinkit would be possible to do a triple boot system with osx, linux, win xp. This would be intresting:-)
  9. From what I here lepord is going to be released to developers in august after it is introduced at the WWDC2006 in san fran.
  10. My favorites are: css edit http://www.macrabbit.com/espresso/ rapid weaver http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ cyber duck https://cyberduck.io/ garagesale http://www.iwascoding.com/
  11. I use office v.x. It is great I have no complaints. It just works like it is supose to. Has any one tried this office suite for sale on ebay. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
  12. The design looks great! I am currently looking for a shopping cart. IYO would this be a comparabe alternative for oscommerce.
  13. I have some exp. with creloaded oscommerce some say it is the best. I was wondering your experiance with shopping carts. Ex. cube cart, zen cart...... Do they come with templates and are they easy to install?I like the open source software because it is free and full of features.
  14. I recently purchased a copy of rapid weaver and I think that it is great starting point for simple websites. I think that it blows away iweb and sandvox but it is limited. I am thinking of doing a store front and there is not a shopping cart. Any other apps that would be useful? I have some exp. with oscommerce, can this be used with a program like rapid weaver?
  15. If you are going to buy a mac, stick with a used g4 or g5. These are the best supported through OSX and run the smoothest. Not to mention more affordable. I perfer the g4 power book to all. I have a g3 ibook, g4 imac, and a g4 power book all running tiger.
