  1. It is simple, for me, I think that the World of Warcraft was the best game they made. It was a tremendous effort and they pulled it off quite nicely.
  2. I have played quite a few of the Blizzard games and I am impressed with the shelf life of StarCraft, which I did not enjoy all that much. I liked Diablo II and really like the World of Warcraft.I think that Blizzard is one of my top 2 gaming companies, because with the exception World of Warcraft, the games that the make are all pretty good and quite a lot of people like them. I think that is why thier games have such a long shelf-life.
  3. Well, I think that you guys covered the topic quite nicely, but I wanted to add my opinion.I think that the pricing for online gaming is good as it is for most servers that I have notice, but I do think that haveing a free server is a good idea. But I will not stick to one game for all that long, maybe for 6 months or so buy then I would get bored and look for something else to play. So I don't mind the pay to play servers right now. But I also joined a private server which I really enjoyed. I hope that in the future the game makers would enter into contracts with private people or groups to host the free servers. This would allow the game makers to make a little money off of the free servers and it would give the gaming communities a way to make money, while providing free services to the rest of us.This is just my opinion.
  4. I am leaning towards the Xbox 360, but mostly because that is where my experience was. I don't know to much about the PS3, but not many of my friends had a PS2 so I never got a chance to actually play on one to see for myself. So chances are that I will get the Xbox 360 at this point.
  5. I've mostly done pc games and a little Xbox Gaming and I find that the PC gaming is much richer and quite a bit of fun. I played the Xbox for a while and had a good time but I think that I still lean towards the PC being a better system, except for the area where you can have 4 people over and have a good gaming session. Which really can't be done on the pc unless you have a local lan.
  6. I have a similar question, because I can only get one gaming system and I am leaning towards the Xbox 360 and but I do not know if it is the best gaming system. The other question to add to this is which system will have or run the most games.
  7. Off the ones on your list I only played WOW for a while, but I think that Neverwinters nights was great but I played that on a private servers and had a blast.
  8. Well I am glad that you guys posted your opinions about this game, I was thinking of getting it but it sounds like it would only be really challenging if you had a team of friends challenging other teams. And since it is P-v-P it would probably get boring for me pretty quickly.
  9. The only one that I really played online was Neverwinters nights and it was pretty good for a while but it does get expensive. I think that unless you are really devoted to the game, and play it quite often then it costs to much money.I am looking into guildwars and hope that it is great, I have tried WOW for a while and wanted to try Everquest but never got to it.
  10. My favorite Game was Neverwinters Night, followed by Morrowind and like many others I can hardly wait for Oblivion to come out. It should be a great game, well I certainly hope that it lives up to its expectations.
  11. I do not know if it really applies, but I tend to play the online version of the Pen and Paper versions of the D&D3.5e. I am tied to the Forgotten Realms because I started playing with the 3rd edition of the game. Most of the time though I play online using OPEN RPG which is pretty cool and I play mostly on sunday nights. Now I have not had a campaign that lasted a year but I still like to play. I actually think that it would be nice to create my own world and host Play by Posts boards one day but it is a lot of work. And I haven't decidided if I will take on that task. I also love Arcana Evolved which is just a great gaming system.
  12. Actually my user name comes from an RPG game that I played a while ago. It was called Crusaders of the Dark Savant. I loved the game and one of my friends was also playing the game and we used to talk about the different parts of the game that we were in as though they were reall places and we met real people. It was kind of funny and memberable. Any ways, I made a character that was a fighter in the game, who was a ninja and I gave him of Jharn, so afterwards, I added the the ' to it to give some uniqueness. So it is really pronounced Ja'Harn although some people just pronounce it as john which really pisses me off. Now according to legend, my first name was actually a gift from the internet. Apparently my parent search for the meanings of the universal sounds and after they found out what each sound meant, they chose what they liked and made up my name. Of course they added the Apostrophe to my first name for unknown reasons, although I think that it was to punishe me as a toddler, because learning my own name to me and a few of my 19 or 20 other siblings quite a while to get it right. My first name is pronounced Teh'O'llar but most people just call me Toj which his my nickname. Now I got my nick name from when My parents were upset with me, it was just frustrating for them to say my whole name so they gave me a nick name made of my initials. I guess that making a name that was difficult for me to learn kinda backfired because they would just get tired of saying all day when they were upset with me(which when I am bad it is usually for the whole day). Well there you have it, the secret of my nick.
  13. Hello all, I am a newbie here at Xisto and I am happy to be here. I used to have a site a long time ago, and I am looking at building another site.About T'olar o. J'harnI am the 3rd or 4th(I don't remember which) child of Mae and Nin J'harn. There are 19 or 20 of us(I don't remember which). At an very early age, I began my travels and I ended up in Arizona where I currently reside. I do customer service and want to get into the IT industry and finish my education, not necessarily in that order. I have several hobbies, RPG games, writing and the Internet and I love to read. I also love to travel, it is more like I am used to it, as I have lived in so many different places in the US. There is so much more to tell but most of it can wait.I am very happy to be here at Xisto.
  14. I like clan templates because of the ideas that you can get from the site. Quite a few of the templates are quite good.
  15. I tend to use Maya, but mostly because I have quite a few books on it. But I really don't Do a alot of true 3D work. For most of the 3D stuff that I do, I cheat and use Poser because it is easier for me to get something done.
  16. If you are really good with Photoshop then you have a good foundation for doing a lot of Digital Art. Photoshop is great for both 3d and Putting finishing touches on 3d Art. I think that to get a basic Foundation in 3D, I would recommend using Poser or Bryce. Both of these you can get for under $200 USD. You can most 3D art with these programs. Once you have a solid foundatio with these programs you should have a good foundation on both 2D and 3D art. I have heard comments that the only thing an artist needs is Poser, Bryce and Photoshop. So if all that you want to do is make Digital Art then these are the minimum 3 that I would recommend. Photoshop would give you all the photographic/coloring/Filtering that you would need, and more that most of people will ever use. Poser gives you a good(not great, but good) foundation in creating 3D art (It is not what I would consider to be a real 3d Digital Art Application). Now when you are really ready to go into 3D Digital art, then You can intergrate various programs with poser or replace poser entirely. I think that there are quite a few programs that are good out there, but I think 3DS max is good for creating games and is one of the better 3D programs in my opinion(I don't have it though). Maya and XSI are great for just about anything as well as Renderman, and just about all of the other application are a step down from these, and remember this is my opinion and YMMV.Landscapes, Skylines, etc are the speciality of programs such as Bryce, Terragen, Vue E'sprit, and in my opinion these types of programs have a different 3D focus than the General All Purpose programs such as 3DS max, and Maya, Cinema 4D, etc. They focus on the enviroment, or background in 3D digial Art and they are all good at what they do. So if You have bryce, then you have a good application for creating 3D Landscapes and Skylines, etc. I tend to think that Vue is the best, but Bryce or Terragen is also good enough. One of the pints that I am trying to make is that there are quite a few 3D Digital art programs that are good for general art and quite a few that are really good for at doing specific things. Now I just mentioned some, not all of the General programs and some that specialize in certain things such as landscapes, there are others that are good at other things such as Architecture and Lighting (Lightwave) and those programs that are good at Organics(zbrush, Painter). And this is not comprehesive. If you are in to art, Photoshop is almost religiously required. Poser gets you into the 3D paradigm and Bryce gets you in to Landscapes. Now these three programs will allow you to do almost everything you can imagine. Now if you don't want to spend money, then Gimp, Blender and Terragen are also great programs to get into. As they will allow you to do most of what you can imagine. After that your choices can be made on what you love to do with your art.Now for
  17. I am glad that you guys posted those links , I went to some of them and got some pretty good templates for myself. I hope to be able to get tinker with them and make a good looking site.
  18. I would like a sig and avatar, and I would really apprecaite it if you would make a set for me. Basically I would like a sig that is patterened after an Elven Sorceror or wizard. The name on the Sig should Be J'harn and the subtext should say Serendpitous Epiphanies[b/] . The name on the Avatar could be T.O.J. or [b'J'harn I also like the colors to be a mixture of Browns, Greens, and Purples or Blues. If there is any other information that you need please let me know.
  19. I really like your sigs as well, the first one is just beautiful. I am looking forward to getting some tutorials so that I can make some sigs that I hope will be 1/10th as good as yours.
  20. I don't watch my process that much but mine is usually around 44 processes most of the time. Every now and then, I cancel some things but most of the time I have around 40 processes running in the back ground.
  21. I am another of those that just has to keep Red Hat around and I use it most often. I like to have SUSE, but My Suse Machine running SuSE 9.1 and my other linux box is using Red Hat Fedora 2
  22. I am still using a Vtech 770 with a whoping 64 megs of ram. I know that it is kind of old. But I am waiting to get a new computer before I upgrade.
  23. I think that someone could live without a computer or the internet. Not that I would want to mind you, but it can be done. I know that when I was on vacation, I didn't touch a computer for a whole week, but not that I am back home, I just can't seem to leave them alone.
  24. I would have to say that My favorite team is the Phoenix Suns. And although they are not at the level of the Spurs or the Pistons just yet they are only a step behind those two teams.I really hope that they can win thier first championship in the next two years, that is if they can kepp Stoudamire and Nash healthy and the rest of the supporting players do thier part.
  25. I don't agree with everything that you have said, but I do belive that the BCS system is not broken. I like it despite the problems that it has had with split Championships. I still think that it is good the way that it is and it is sad that AP decided to pull out of it.
