  1. I'm from over 'here' (ie; aus) aswell and some of the shops are a bit of a rip off. I'm planning to get the 6600GT 128mb AGP card, nintek.com.au has it down at $199 now I believe.
  2. nvidia GeForce 6600GT 128mb AGP card, from what I've heard it runs de_inferno (Counter-Strike Source) up to 180fps (or some high figure) and de_inferno is a pretty graphicly intense map . Though you probabaly should listen to Kam or somebody who knows what they're talking about,
  3. It does run smoothly generally. Just when it comes to 'heated action' the FPS drops down dramaticly. I'll probabaly wait till' January some time for the price to drop a bit, cause the 6600GT still costs a fair bit.
  4. Check out XP Games, they have an array of catagories, all the games are free to download. I'm not sure that you'll find qaulity FPS games to the standard of America's Army and Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory.
  5. Microsoft Windows XP ProfessionalService Pack 2 Intel Celeron 4A, 2433 MHz (6 x 406) 512mb of Ram 80gb Hardrive Radeon 9200 (Planning on upgrading to a 6600GT soon) I think that's it.
  6. Because then you can do things you can't do in the real world?
  7. GTR by a mile, Live 4 Speed and those kind of games blow Need for Speed out of the water, we're talking about best games right?Sure Need for Speed is a fun game but certainly isn't the best.
  8. I use to prefer Virtual Worlds like AWABA when they were around, free and fun to build, but sadly no longer exists, or atleast to my knowledge.
  9. I'd like to create a font set, just unsure how to, can somebody possibly either create a short tutorial or point me in the right direction (Maybe google.com ).Cheers,
  10. I personally think it's a little bit too busy and is somewhat hard to make out the render. I'm not a fan of the bar either and the text needs to stand out a bit more, maybe use a normal font instead of a pixel font? It's not too bad.
  11. I also use Limewire, well on a rare ocassion as I'm personally not into downloading music as I'd prefer to have it on CD. Seems to work like a treat though, easy to use interface and pretty good download times.
  12. I don't like it either and personally don't think a brand called 'Farmer Boy' with a monkey as a logo would sell too well, well atleast I wouldn't buy one. The qaulity of the image is also poor.:cool2:
  13. I find that it lacks alot of depth. I'd suggest that you try using multiple layers and then you can blend in your layers and add different kind of filters and thus give it more depth. The text doesn't stand out much and the logo underneath it doesn't seem to really look to be apart of the text, overall it doesn't seem to blend together with the background well. Not too bad I guess just kinda bland. :huh:Oh and techocian I love your sig.
  14. I completely agree. It's the fact that the brand sells and not to mention that those adverts are pretty cool, they've made sillhoutes (sp?) cool.I myself am not a big music enthusiast so I don't listen to a whole lot of music and don't need a whole lot of room, so I've got a Creative Mp3 player which is suffice.

    Dangerous Hacker!

That's a cracker, too bad if the fella actually got hacked though eh.
  16. I bet he can't win on Counter-Strike, impossible. How would he tell the difference between friend and foe? Nevertheless, I'll give the kid credit, winning any kind of game blind is a achievement.
  17. I disagree, http://www.footballglory.com/ is the best 'football' online management game. Only due to the sheer simplicity of it and the transfer market is great. The game is into Season 16 (or something like that) and although most of the original players have retired there are alot of 'fake' youths which are devoloped by your own Youth Training Facility in which you can sign youths and an array of different kind of coaches. You can also sign sponsors to increase your income. This is a game for you if you wish to feel proud when your team promotes because it isn't easy. It's free aswell, though it does take some time to get a team but I can tell you it's worth the wait. Oh and all the team names are real.
  18. Defiantly Adobe Photoshop, more options and has more resources out there for you. The many people that use Photoshop can't be wrong, it's the most prefered program.
  19. Hi,I've been without a sound card for quiet awhile (I think forever ) but just curious if they're really needed for gaming, I only use a headset. Though sometimes my Counter-Strike Source game will freeze up would a game freeze up due to 'too much sound' and because I have no sound card it can't render all the noise at once. Okay maybe I'm blabbering on a bit, to be honest I have no clue about the hardware aspect of computers. But do you need a sound card now days?
  20. I heard a similar thing but it was a guy playing Starcraft, Korea or some place like that. I admit those games do pass time quiet fast and you forget.

    Howdy

Stumbled apon this amazing site when looking through the heap of sites on 'freewebspace' site. The amount of forums on this forum is good and should keep my interest. Though I must admit that some of the posts that people are making here and a bit too long for my young (15 ) eyes. Nonetheless, just giving ya'll a yell. 'Seeya around,
  22. I haven't played many FPS but I've played the best of the best.Counter-Strike SourceAmerica's Army (Free game, good as a paid game)Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory (Free game, pretty good)Battlefield 2Call of Duty 2Basicly all I could think of at the time. The last two I listed, I haven't played but have gotten good praises from critics.
  23. I didn't feel comfortable about bringing up an old thread, so I thought I'd create a new thread. I'd like to know the lingo of America's Army, like the ones where people tell you the enemys location (ie; erb or something to that extent) and any other kind of lingo.Probabaly would've been best posting such question on a America's Army forum but I'm here to get posts aren't I?
  24. Radeon 9200, hoping to get a GeForce 6600GT soon.
