  1. Is this supposed to be art? Or just to show us different kind of foods that look really yummy. If it is supposed to be art, then I say that you need a better camera and some more versatile angles. Prepare and arrange the food so that it looks fashionable. Provide extra lighting for places that may dim the picture. If it's to show us food, then the shortcake looks cool. It's nice to see some european food culture. I see sushi, is that a part of Jewish diet or related in any way?? I just thought that because it theres Jewish cookies and sushi on the table.
  2. When I had really slow speed, I would get frustrated, but never hate the internet. The internet is super useful, but without patience, it is really annoying. If it wasn't for the internet I would be playing outside. Your computer may need upgrades, or you need a faster connection, or you need a new network card, because the stuff that comes with the mother board isn't always that great. I still need to get a new network card because the stuff that came with my mother board sucks a lot. When the card sucks, it limits the internet speed. If speed isn't your problem, then it is probably your attitude. Instead of expressing how pissed off you are, you could use that energy to solve the problem or to ask for help.
  3. If you have the default account (30 credits) do you have to post more to keep your hosting up compared to the starter (10 credits)? And are credit records kept before you get hosting? Because I didn't know that credits were reset after you get hosting. I had 30, but was planning to conserve credits and went for the starter. XPThanks.
  4. Wow, you have some skill. The skin seems a bit rough and the borders of the hair compared with the background looks kind of weird. I like the face, the most. It looks very realistic. The torso looks like it needs more shade or something, because it looks flat when I look at it. Great job bringing her cheeks out..
  5. If you mean aliens as in organisms that live outside earth, then I do believe in that. There must be another place suitable for life in the universe. I doubt that there are aliens like in the science fiction movies. I don't think the public was concerned with that until people were venturing into space. Abductions and stuff are just made up stuff. Many unexplained things caught on film could just be government funded testing of new technology or something.
  6. Hello, I am incorporating php into my site to get rid of frames, but I've come accross a problem. In my site I had a table with an iframe, then another table with an iframe inside of that. I used function changelocation to replace the first iframe, but how do I make another thing like that inside of the content of the first include? It says that it cannot redeclare changelocation() so how do I replicate an iframe inside of an iframe using php. Here's the non-php example of what I did. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ then you click flash work, then select a flash. See how the bottom of te iframe changes? It's because I put an iframe inside of an iframe. How do I do something like that in php? This is how I imitated the first iframe in my php revised index.php. I took out the useless code. <?php$content=$_GET['content'];if (empty($content)) {$content='news';}<a href="index.php?content=news"[tab][/tab]>News</a> <p><a href="index.php?content=flashes"[tab][/tab]>Flashes</a><p><a href="index.php?content=drawings"[tab][/tab]>Drawings</a>changelocation($content);function changelocation($content) {switch ($content) { case 'news': include("contents/news.php"); break; case 'flashes': include("contents/flashes.php"); break; case 'drawings': include("contents/drawings.php"); break;}}?> Now when I'm in the index?content=flashes, how do I imitate a second iframe? What I said is probably confusing and I'm sorry. I'm new at php. Can an experienced php scriptor give some insight?
  7. I like gmail the best. I use that gmail notifier on my computer, which is very usefull when I email with friends. Lots of space I don't even need too. It's easy to sign up and sign off and I rarly ever get random junk mail with gmail. It's easy to organize and navigate and pick options for stuff. This is only from my experience. With hotmail, I have problems and I don't like I can't see any of my sent mail. Gmail rules.
  8. I liked final fantasy 7 because of it's characters and music tunes. I love the music it that game. The story could have been predictable and the same goes with the plot, but the characters were interesting. I loved seeing what happened to Cloud and Sephiroth in the past. I remember and like each character, except Cait Sith and Yuffie. I liked it's time period too; it wasn't the future or the past, it was like a little bit like a weird modern time. The best thing about final fantasy X was that it had that sphere grid and good graphics. Best about 8 was the cg movies I think, I didn't like much about it. I didn't like 9.
  9. The sound that I hear when I mouse over the navigation is kind of annoying. I like to listen to music while browsing on sites, so it is disruptive to my experience. Nothing else is wrong with the navigation. It looks fine. The calendar looks messed up for me (I use firefox) and it is also slow to scroll. I see that you like to use frames also. I used to use frames, but then I heard people talk about php. I think asta supports php (I'm not sure) and if it does then you should learn php, because it's more better than frames for sure. The troop logo with the spotlight is a great attribute. You must have flash, so you should also do something with the troop 777 logo with flash. Get rid of the blue background too; my eyeballs don't like it. What you could put at home are updates or new events. I see shirts on the navigation and I assume that you are selling them, so maybe you could call it a store and sell other products. Sell stuff like hats, or mugs. I'm sure scout hats would be cute. The troop 777 logo in the top of the forums needs to be anti-aliased or smoothed around the edges. There's no forums button on the navigation, so I advice you add that.I am aware that you are still working on the website, so that's why I suggested this stuff. I hope you are successful with this site, and if you're not then at least you gained more knowledge about making a website.
  10. I don't really care for the text, but since you thought it disrupted the look of the images, I changed it. I used a more cooler text, and changed the color. I didn't move the text in the sig, because I forgot to do it and now I'm too lazy to go back and change it. I hope it looks better. Thanks for the comments.
  11. I wrote the tutorial, because I thought beginners would be able to do something simple and easy. It would help them get start out with paths+shapes. It's not about the comic bubble, but the concept of making a custom shape that you can use over again. A comic bubble is a great example for that. I myself, wanted to write a tutorial for fun, but I don't know much about anything specific on photoshop. I think I'm still a photoshop newb. The tutorial is good for introducing custom shapes, I think.
  12. I realize that I didn't have a sig, so I made one in photoshop 7 in 35 minutes. I'm glad that I'm done. Can people tell how is it and how it flows? It's pretty small, but I think it looks cool. Give suggestions, comments, or ask questions. I like the color yellow, but I don't use it much. I finally made use of the stained glass texture and it is pretty cool. I thought that that it was useless. I got photoshop more than a year ago, but I have never made anything serious. I'm still kind of naive when I use photoshop. I just use it to make grunge sigs and draw on it. It's good practice. Matching avatar too. I like yellow.
  13. The sig is a bit dark, so the tube thingies are hard to see. The border should be less rough, because it seems inconsistent with the smooth content of the sig. To make the text blend in more with the tube thing, you could change it's color or remove the texture, then make the spot light a little more the the left. The tubes look cool and random and the text matches with the surface it's on. Honestly, I would advice you to change the sig, or make a new one. I'm sure if you'll do more, you'll get better. This sig can be for experience, but not for use.
  14. I'm interested in making my diet more versatile and healthy. Healthy food can be really yummy too. Like boiled artichoke, OMG That tastes so yummy. I'm boiling some right now. If you know what an artichoke looks like, get one at a market, go home, cut it in half then boil it for a long time then eat the soft parts; avoid spiky white stuff. Most of the food I have eaten in my life came from schools + fast food + vietnamese home cooked stuff. School food and fast food is not so vitamin rich. What I ask is for people to give me some suggestions of healthy foods. There has to be some knowledgable health informatists around to give me info.
  15. It sucks that bands will change themselves to make themselves more popular or rich. Money and fame can easily change people. I like The Clash and The Blood Brothers. Very different, but both are cool. Punk is about stating social, cultural, political, moral, etc problems and basically talking about the corrupt things in life, I think. I don't know what it is now, but I don't care. I like listening to good music. If you like music that involves the use of guitars, then I suggest that you learn how to play guitar for fun, unless you really suck at music. It's pretty calming and cool to play guitar in the living room. Better than watching cartoons.
  16. Who said people aren't able to share music freely? What you mean is that people should be able to take other people's songs freely instead of paying for them. Why shouldn't you pay for it? You haven't said a true reason. You said music should be appreciated by all, yet there are many people out there not rich enough to get a computer or get internet. If you're rich enough to get internet, why not buy music? How can music be appreciated by all by making music free to download through the internet? I agree that music should be appreciated, but how is free mp3s going to promote that idea? Wouldn't it degrade it? More people will take music for granted. People will change the information of songs and spread it around. I have downloaded mp3 files before and found the author information of songs changed. A song you thought that was made by one artist was actually made by somebody else. I don't think downloading music should be legal at all. It's not good for the people who make the music. It does cost a lot to make quality music. Do you expect downloading movies to be legal? It's not good for everybody in the movie if people do that. They lose money and don't become rich. I think that people download music because of convenience. No money hassle, just search and get quickly. I don't think people care about morality more than convenience. I download music just because of the convenience. It's a habit that I can't change. I am too lazy to ask my dad to drive me to the mall to get an album, just so I can listen to a song that I heard was good. I use downloading to listen to see if some bands are good or to find a song that may not be available at a local record store; like foreign songs. If I really like a band/artist, then I buy their album. There are benefits in buying cds. People should do that. Eeep, I have said a lot. Well, yeah... I disagree with you, amerijap.
  17. I already played all metal gear solids and the story in each one is great. I like to make fun of raiden, but I don't hate him. What I am anticipated about is the two original metal gears on subsistence. When they first spoke about outer heaven and zanzibar in metal gear solid, I was confused. It will be cool to play the old games. I like all the metalgear solid games equally. The thing about the patriots in metal gear solid 2 was confusing at first, but then I got it later. Great mood in that game. There's great moods in each solid game. Metal gear solid was creepy. The second was I don't know, but it was cool. Third was sort of like an old action movie or something I guess.I wished they could've given the bad guys a better background in metal gear solid 3. It would be nice to know why the fury was so angry. The fox group and dead cell was cool. The cobras seemed a little empty to me though, except for the joy.
  18. I thought it would be a little fun to do banners on adobe so here: https://l' alt='Posted Image' class='bbc_img' /> https://l' alt='Posted Image' class='bbc_img' /> https://l' alt='Posted Image' class='bbc_img' /> https://l' alt='Posted Image' class='bbc_img' /> Good practice. I'm proud (:
  19. I was making a comic and wanted to make comic bubbles without the hassle of drawing each one. I did not know anything about vectors or shapes in photoshop. I searched online and found that you can make custom shapes using pathes in adobe photoshop 7. I experimented with photoshop and devised my own simple method of making comic bubbles. Here, I will tell you how to make a bubble like this repetitively. You can edit change the pointer at the end too.: https://f' alt='Posted Image' class='bbc_img' /> Start a new image and make the size like 500X500 for a bit of space to draw. First we will make some thing like this: https://f' alt='Posted Image' class='bbc_img' /> To do that, you select the freeform pen tool. Then you click the paths button on the options bar. It should look like this: https://f' alt='Posted Image' class='bbc_img' /> If you don't see the options tab, click windows, then options. With that tool, draw that pointing shape. If you messed up and want to delete the path, hold ctrl and select the points, then right click and delete path. There are some functions up on the options tab to help you draw. Try to make the pointer sharp at the end and big and flat on the other side. After you draw the pointer, right click the path then select define custom shape. and you should see your black pointer with a white background. If you dont like what you see then press cancel and draw it again. Name your shape pointer-downleft or something. Now you can make a bubble. First go find the ellipse tool, then make a white circle. That circle should have it's own layer. Select the blending options of that layer and give it a black stroke of size 1. Make a new layer and put it under the circle. Select the layer under the circle and then get the custom shape tool. Goto that place near the word "shape" and use that to find that shape you had just created. https://f' alt='Posted Image' class='bbc_img' /> Make sure shape layer is selected: https://f' alt='Posted Image' class='bbc_img' /> Make your primary color black. Click on somewhere on the bottom left side of the bubble and drag it down or left. Looks like this now: https://f' alt='Posted Image' class='bbc_img' /> Create a layer above the bubble and make your color white. Still using the custom tool, click near the tip of the end of the black pointer and move it up into the bubble. https://f' alt='Posted Image' class='bbc_img' /> You have made a bubble! You can create different pointers and rotate them around by selecting the shapes then transforming them. Now, that you have this, you don't need to draw the bubbles by yourself anymore. And you can point the pointer toward any direction. It's not so hard. I don't think that many young photoshop users know about paths though, so I put this here.
  20. A lot of people say porn is everywhere. I don't really see that, but that's besides the point. Of course, you can expect people to get porn from the psp. People can make money from it. There are a lot of greedy people out there and a lot of perverted people. I've heard about guys crowding in the locker room to see porn from some other guy's psp during PE. Too bad. Porn can be harmful, but what can the people who care do? Parents can do some things, but not a lot. Kids get away with so many things. I'm glad that my brother doesn't watch porn and isn't gay. Porn is bad for relationships. The upcoming generations are gonna suck.
  21. If it's quick to load and easy to edit, then I'm sure it'll be good to use as a website.I agree with all of sunblind's ideas and sxyloverboy's idea about those snake things. I don't know what they are but it's out of place.I'll give some thoughts about what I would change.I would get rid of that picsel winged icon picture thing near the banner on the right. It looks weird when you see it twice. A good thing to do with that picture is to maybe put a very faded image of it into some of of the background images of the links, shoutbox, or featured sites boxes. The home, Tutorials, Templates, etc text does not match with each other or something. The Home, tutorial, and forums text looked like they are moved to the right and the contact us text looks like it's too far to the left. All the graphic button images things should be the same height and aligned. The "links" image is more taller than the "main content" for example. Aligning will give your site organization and coordinance.Make sure that banner thing on top is not too big of a size, because there are people who have slow internet speed, which inhibits the computer's ability to download images quickly. I hate dial-up. Good thing I have cable.Putting some of the same links on top and in the links' box may not be very useful. Try to categorize your links and separate them accordingly.I can only comment about the look of it right now. It sounds pretty negative with all the suggestions, but I am not saying the site is bad. I'm a critical person, and usually, I like to suggest (:. Remember that the look of a site isn't everything. People will mostely be interested in the content and how often it is updated, unless the website was terribly organized. I've seen some horrible design. O_O It can be scary. Your stuff looks good. The 3d effect is very slicklooking. It's like you can rub your finger on it and expect a squeak sound. I like the grunge banner thingy on top too.
