Windows Or Linux DEVELOPERS Which OS You Prefer?
loganbest replied to arunkumarhg's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I like Linux because I am a hardcore developer and I'm running 2 Linux servers at my house. I prefer Redhat Linux ES. I also have windows computers and Macintosh computer that I use. I mainly use the Macs for Extreme video editing which I do for local bands, my church, and my school. I mainly use the Windows comps for my Work which needs windows to run the software that I need. -
My site is actually a website I made for a non-profit Boy Scout troop that wanted a website and since I'm a big web designer where I live, I got the pleasure of making it! http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ '>So Come and Check It Out!!! P.S. Keep in mind that it is not completely done yet. But I would like some feedback. Thanks in Advance.

Any Alternatives To Photoshop? Quick question
loganbest replied to mizswantonbomb's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
I use Macromedia Fireworks quite a bit. -
I am a representative of the company Autodesk, so with that I used it to find a little info on Longhorn.Longhorn is supposed to be the most graphical GUI ever made. It is so graphical that Micrsoft is having a hard time trying to find out how it is supposed to work with most other computers in the world because the video cards can't suport it.Indigo is the new Web services that windows will have, and Autodesk is designing the entire thing as well as coding a few things.

Logitech Mouse + Cordless Desktop are they compatible?
loganbest replied to moonwitch1405241479's topic in Hardware Workshop
Man I love wireless. All of my comps have wireless mouse and keyboards (except for my laptops, of course). I like to use Microsoft wireless mouse and keyboard w/bluetooth because I am a Technology wiz, however; The only problem that I have with wireless products is the interference between them. I have to put my wireless router away from my computer to level out all of the waves, but its not a big problem since I have 2 boosters elseware in my house. -
MYSPACE SUCKS!!!!! Come and join my website It is "Better than a space" We have only been up on the net since Jan 27 and we have ~33,000 people signed up with ~400 online at the same time. We have things that MySpace do not and Myspace has things that we dont have. We are currently working on Groups, Artist Profiles, YourVoid: The Game, and many other cool things that you should be a part of. Of course it is free, but we also have VIP days which is premium services for a low cost. VIP days give you extra features that the free profiles do not have and you get Recognized for having VIP days too!

The thing with the Pentium M Processors is that if it says like "Inspiron 6000 Pentium M 1500 Processor" it is saying that the Processor is running at about 3.0 Ghz. I think the highest Pentium M that you can get is 2.13 Ghz which is actually about 3.8 Ghz on a normal processor

Yea me too man....This topic has definately got my attention. I will also do a little research in my millions of VB 6 books and see if I cant figure something out for you. If I have a hard time I can always check up with my dad since he's been programming for 23 years. He's sure to know something! If you dont mind could you PM the file(s) to me too so that I wont have to worry about recreating it and getting something wrong, thanks.

Yes Mitch, the PS3 is capable of 7 Wireless controllers at one time, the thing with the psp is that the PS3 has a game sharing feature that will allow the PSP to play the PS3 games with the PSP and the output will be on the TV that the PS3 is connected to. The PS3 will allow up to 4 PSP's to connect to it as well as the 7 PS3 wireless controllers. The PS3 will be capable of playing thee disc types: CD PlayStation CD-ROM PlayStation2 CD-ROM CD-DA CD-DA (ROM), CD-R, CD-RW SACD Hybrid (CD layer), SACD HD DualDisc (audio side) DualDisc (DVD side) PlayStation 2 DVD-ROM PlayStation 3 DVD-ROM DVD-ROM DVD-R DVD-RW DVD+R, DVD+RW Blu-ray Disc PlayStation 3 BD-ROM BD-ROM BD Sony also laid out the technical specs of the device. The PlayStation 3 will feature the much-vaunted Cell processor, which will run at 3.2GHz, giving the whole system 2 teraflops of overall performance. It will sport 256MB XDR main RAM at 3.2GHz, and it will have 256MB of GDDR VRAM at 700MHz. Sony also confirmed that the machine will be backward compatible all the way to the original PlayStation. It will also have slots for Memory Stick Duo, an SD slot, and a compact flash memory slot. It will also sport a slot for a detachable 2.5-inch HDD, somewhat similar to the Xbox 360's. Sony did not mention if the drive would be standard. Here are some pictures of the new PS3:

You should be able to see the MAC in your livingroom comp if your house is part of a home network (which since you have wireless it probably is)

What Do You Think About Making An OS ?
loganbest replied to infamousflame's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I dont know C# or VB.net or Java, all I know is VB 6 and I just use that or programming API's for High classed 3D Mechanical Designing software such as Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk AutoCAD -
There is a way of getting someone else's MAC Address, while it is still illegal, I dont recomend doing to someone with Windows because you have to hack someones computer to get it and with Windows security it will copy all of your information on your computer and send it to microsoft for extensive analyzation. If they do get the info they need to get you in Jail they will do it!

How Do You Create Gif's Animations Like This ?
loganbest replied to loganbest's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
I always learn pretty fast with anything, I became an expert in php in 4 days!!!I used 28 frames instead of 10, but I can always mess around with it and try different things... nothing is expensive for me, I have now downloaded the latest and full version of eveything Adobe has to offer, yea I know its illegal but I dont care. I tried Xara3D and its a pretty nifty little program but it has its limitations Yea I have Image Ready but I haven't really messed with it all that much, I'll look into it, Thanks I use After Effects A LOT for video tweaking, and it is probably the best thing I've ever seen, but I have to combine it with either Adobe Premiere or Pinnacle Studio 9 to get the full effect!! -

loganbest replied to loganbest's topic in Websites and Web Designing

I dont know which would be better? I was looking for Red Hat and they said that it was going to quite supporting Red Hat 9.Give me some feedback...
