If you are going to upload lots of audio and video files, I suggest getting the higher package hosting, because 20MB on the starter package probably wont be enough.I dont actually know which hosting package you have, but I'm just saying :lol:Ed

Building A Budget Gaming Pc how would you build a gaming pc?
edskii replied to discharges's topic in Software
You would certainly get a very good gaming rig for $1500. Check out https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ Top quality site. The forums are also very useful. There are litrally hundreds of topics based on 'Recommended gaming rig for ÂŁ800' etc The hardware is fairly cheap, and deffinately of the highest quality. Ed -
I Need Review Of A Site Review of a sdite
edskii replied to universitarioscba's topic in General Discussion
I really like the simpleness of it. Everything looks clean and professional. One point I would make though is try shifting the whole page to the center. (Like Google for example)At the moment, I feel like I'm looking up a little to much.Ed -
Try using these different FTP clients. https://www.globalscape.com/cuteftp https://www.smartftp.com/ Both very good programs. You can at least try them

Yeh, I've seen this at someone's house, its pretty cool , both tft's as wellthis will certainly be a thing for the future.Thinking of that, I need a new monitor, stuck with a very old CRT :lol:Ed

Poll: Which Is The Best Os Pick The Best OS
edskii replied to Hardy Boy's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Yep, totually agree, its all up to you and what you enjoy doing on your computer. the MAC OS X has a much nicer user-friendly interface for graphic designers, and that is why they simply use them throughout the industry. However I have been with windows all of my life, so I am just used to it, and as I have not got a proper job yet, there is no need for me to have anything more at the moment. I play quite a lot of games, so I'd deffinatley stay with a PC, for now anyway. I would seriously consider getting a mac in the future though. Ed -
Adsense is deffinately worth it, I know one site imparticular that has earned a fortune out of it. Even if you dont get much money, you'll still at least get a profit. As someone above mentioned, I think they start paying you cheques monthly AFTER the required credit has been met.Adsense is going to be put on my site soon for sure (when more content gets put on)Hope I have helped.Ed

Photography Stock Sites Any experience with them?
edskii replied to sxyloverboy's topic in Websites and Web Designing
http://www.istockphoto.com/ca/landing/unsupported seems pretty good. A huge variety of stock photographs. You will find almost anything you want there. Hope that helps a little. Ed -
the games brilliant, it's as simple as that, lol I found the original Battlefield was just sooo boring, with emtpy space and the occasional building on a HUGE map. With battlefield 2, buildings are everywhere, and close combat firing is very common. I think the planes are a little to fast, but updates will sort a lot of the problems. There aren't many bugs as far as I can see, which gives a really good impression. You can see how popular the game is going to be, thousands of people playing on it constantly. I think the game will be really popular for clans as well, as they have introduced more squad play and tactics. The ranking system will be really good, with medals and that. The higher you are in the rankings, and the better you play, the more weapons and accessories you can unlock for multiplayer, this is a cool addon for advanced players so they do not get as bored easily. The added weapons will not be any better that the original standard weapons, so the not so good players will still cope fine! I'm deffinately going to buy this game! Ed http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ gives some cool stats for all of the people playing games of Gamespy Arcade.

in my opinion, the second one is the best.I see you have used a pixel font. You have increased the font size to much, and it looks stretched. Try setting it to size 8-10.Nice sig though :(Ed

I'm really surprised no-one has mentioned System Mechanic 5 Professional, this is a great tool for improving your computers performance, it also gets rid of spyware, adware etc, and also sorts out and cleans your registry. There are lots of features and its well worth buying for only $30 or something. Another great tool is tuneUp Utilities. This pretty much does the same thing, but helps in different ways. I highly recommend both! I used to use all of the rubbish spyware tools mentioned above, but cant stand a lot of them. Ed Notice from Klass: Add URL Links for the products mentioned, saves a web search. I highly recommend using links when listing software.

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ give fantastic offers on just about everything to do with hardware and certain software. There are many very affordable laptops there that are very well built with the top components. They certainly know what they are doing over there, so I highly reccommend them! It depends a lot on what kind of things you will be doing at school. I would get plently of ram, that would be a main factor for me. Just get a standard/average intergrated graphics card (thats if your not going to be gaming on it) - afterall, it is a laptop! Try keeping the components you dont really need to a minimum cost. This should help a lot! Hope you find a laptop that suits your needs. Ed

Yeh, I was thinking of getting a .co.nr domain, but wasn't too sure about the loading speeds that it gives you etc. .TK domains give the worst possible impression of a site, I cant stand them, I see the ad, and think "Oh no, another rubbish website is coming up". They also make your website unbelievably slow. I think I'm going to buy a cheap .com something at https://de.godaddy.com/ or something. They are highly recommended, just look at their prices. Ed

wotever rockstar do is going to attract the gamers, all of their grand theft auto games have been a massive success.

you just have to find the right servers with decent commmunities, where there is no hackers. I dont even play in public servers anymore anyway
-
I used to always play it, until counterstikre source was released anyway. The gameplay is amazing, nothing will beat it for a long time. multiplayer objective match is kinda boring after playing it for around two years tho, the same three, old maps
-
yep, 64 players on the battlefield, new engine, new maps, new everything! around 20,000 people playing on the Battlefield 2 demo already, and it was only released last night! Its a hefty 500mb but its certainly worth the download. Search for it on google, there's plently of mirrors to download it from. Battlefield 2 system requirements aren't that harsh either, but with an amazing pc, the graphics would be brilliant, as shown in the official trailers. head over to eagames.com for info! Ed

Windowblinds Skins for windows
edskii replied to rustyburrito55's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Yep windowblinds is a good program, especially the latest version that I think is $19 or something. I've been using it for a while. However most of my downloaded skins result in jogging windows when on the internet. its really annoying, and its a struggle to concentrate sometimes. theres also another site similar to wincustomize called themexp.com hope this is useful Ed -
I tryed runescape for 1-2 days, I absolutely hated it. although thats probably because i'm used to playing such better non-free games. I suppose runescape is good in the way that its free of charge and no monthly subscription is needed. For those of you who have the money to pay a monthly subscription, world of warcraft or guild wars is for you. Links are below: https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-gb/ https://www.guildwars.com/en/ Ed
