Does Anyone Play Pokemon? *not A Joke* ^^^^^^
The Bob replied to jwcgator's topic in Computer Gaming
I played the games when they first came out and I was into the games and the cartoon at the same time. I'll say I was quite addicted to the cartoon and so I had to try the games. They were pretty good to me. I liked the catching new pokemon and the storyline was fine. But I have moved on from the games and the cartoons but I'm curious about the new games so I might check them out. -
Ozzfest 05 who in here is goin to ozzfest?
The Bob replied to alexafades2black's topic in General Discussion
I have not been to Ozzfest.. yet. But I plan to. There are quite a few bands I wanted to see this year mainly A Dozen Furies. Unfortunately I have to work and I cant get the day off to go. -
I have always played Zelda games and I always enjoy them. I'm not a big fan of shooting games of that sort. And ever since I started playing Zelda I have looked forward to the next game and so forth. At first when I saw this game I was like o.O whats up with the graphics its not the usual Zelda game to me. So when my brother got it for his gamecube I had to play it. I will admit I can't really play at games all that much but I have always been able to handle Zelda games. I have played this game about 5 times and each time I love it more and more. I like to spend alot of time in the puzzles in my private island. Completing the map is the last thing I do because I already know my way around pretty well. I do recomend this game because it rocks.

I've never heard of the game untill now, but if sounds like it may be worth checking out. Thanks for the review link.

Your correct, too a point. I think alot of people graduated from FF7 to bigger skies. The thing with anything thats Introductery is that its simplified for the masses. Take for example childrens books. They get children into reading but when the children grow up they no longer read clifford the big red dog.Again, let me say im not basing the game. I have much respect for FF7 and still play it after all this time. Im just saying that it realy wasnt anything special. It was flashy and easy enough for the masses to get behind it is all.
-
ff7 wasnt all that special. Simply put it was just a solid rpg for people who realy didnt like rpgs. It helped get alot of people into the genre. Of course This may sound negative but thats not my intent. Is ff7 a good game? Yup. Was it all its cracked up to be? Nope. Is it the best rpg ever? Nope.I still go back to it on my pc every so often when I need a beak from more complex rpgs and mmorpgs. Theres no denying that ff7 was a blast to play, it just wasnt genre defining like it is made out to be.

Well I actualy didnt attack you I always remain cool, most importanlty when dealing with people that cant accept that they are wrong or are biased/fanboy. You can attack me all you wish, at the end of the day I sleep well.

Is there anyway to find out what tables are missing?
-
I hope thats not the case. Is there anyway to create it again?
-
not as of yet, I had only just opened. no backup was made at that point.
-
no hacks of any kind. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ theres your link but it wont do much good.
-
Ok, that makes sense. Is there anyway to restore this? I have just re-installed phbb forum but that did not correct my problem.
-
Ok, well I origanaly installed phbb on my webspace but then switched to invision 2.0. After about 4 days of skinning, configuring, ect I opened up the forum. With this done I didnt need the phbb forum so I went to the cpanel and removed it. After I did this My Invision forum no longer works. Here is the error I get. mySQL query error: SELECT * FROM astahost_cache_store WHERE cs_key IN ( 'attachtypes','bbcode', 'multimod','ranks','profilefields','banfilters', 'settings', 'group_cache', 'systemvars', 'skin_id_cache', 'forum_cache', 'moderators', 'stats', 'languages' )mySQL error: Table 'thebob_phpbb1.ibf_cache_store' doesn't existmySQL error code: Date: Tuesday 14th of June 2005 02:25:00 PM I have no idea why or how but when I unisntalled phbb I guess it took this along with it. Anyone have any advice on how I can fix this? Is it possible to recreate table or whatever it is thats wrong? i realy am not looking forward to doing this all over again

http://www.gamespot.com/articles/rumor-control-gta-psp-screens-and-more-real-time-ps3-demos/1100-6127362/ We may not see actual real time ps3 for a while.
-
Hmm, you got verry defensive. Often a sign of insecurity.I have contacts too, and I own Nintendo. I also am responsible for the moon landing. Btw, if you were at E3 then you should be fully aware that the ps3 showings were not realtime footage but prerendered video, unlike 360 footage witch was ALL realtime and all running off development kits running at 1/3 the power of the actual console :(Enjoy your insiders my friend.

Network transfer is impossible as I have just a hard drive and a laptop. NO PC. Like I said, all I want is to be able to get data off of this hard drive vithout having to find someone willing to let me put it in there pc.The second option I may try as I could then just keep the hdd as a usb hdd.

Im not hear to say that others opinions are wrong so dont think thats what im doing... The AI in doa is not cheap in the least, its just not like other fighting games. Aerosmith on the soundrtrack.......who cares? That realy makes a game loose a point in your book? Thats more than just shallow... The camera angle for the boss battle does suck indeed BUT its the only angle that would work in that situation. Perhaps they should have put in some mediocre boss like most other fighting games instead and have the final boss battle be bland and uneventfull. DOA has as much depth as you are willing to put into it, and thats why I say that there are not many people who can actualy play the game. My guess is your not one of them. Doa isnt about complex strings or difficult button presses, it was never intended to be. Instead of the victory going to whoever has memorised a command list the victory goes to whoever actualy PLAYS the game better.

Windowblinds Skins for windows
The Bob replied to rustyburrito55's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I also use the entire series and although it is a resource hog my PC can handle it fine. I have also never encounred a single ishue with any features not working since I started using the origanal version that I got on a free disk included with a pc magazine.Ive tried nearly all official and unofficial xp skinning methods and Windowblinds is by far the best. -
Hmm, looks pretty good. Ive dabbled in gamemaker, mostly sprite swaps of clasic games. Its fairly easy to use but I have no idea how it would handle pollygonal worlds for an fps. The most ove seen for it was a shady version of doom.Anyway good luck and tell me about whatever prog works the best.

All you need to know is that Guild Wars is not an MMORPG and WOW is a fantastic game if your willing to put the time into it to get the most of it. It is well worth the server fee(just like any good mmorpg). WOW is probubly the most user friendly mmorpg I have played(again GW is not a MMORPG). As far a speople hating it of liking it.....The servers are packed full of people that love the game(even if they do ***** from time to time) so I dont see it as a mixed bag. More like those who dont like it are more vocal about it. Theres litteraly no reason not to like this game unless your antisocial or hate mmorpgs.Get it. Love it.
-
Well I am tryong to avoid tearing open someones pc then configuring it for a second hard drive.
-
Um, thanks for the scoop :(This is old news by several weeks. Also $500 wont be the price tag. Were looking at getting it for around $300.

Actualy it is you who is misinformed as we have seen very very little actualy realtime gamepay from ps3. The 2 consoles should be just about even in the gfx department. Fact of the matter is we have yet to actualy se what the ps3 is capable of nor have we seen 360 running one anything more than weak beta development kits. Check your facts son.Compatability is also not just a Microsoft issue as more often than not its the drivers for the gfx card or the gfx card itself that make games unstable or unplayable. And lastly, you bring up the size of xbox as being a downside. This makes no matter on the subject as the games have nothing to do with how the system looks or plays. SHure the controller wasnt too great but they fixed it after a few months and most people moved on.Incedently ps2 never surpased xbox in visuals. They came close at one point but there are launch games for xbox that are still graphicly more impressive than 99% of ps2 games. Currant games for xbox are indeed better looking than even the best ps2 games(Gamecube games are better looking that the best looking ps2 games aswell). But then again, gfx arent that important. Are they?

Best Fps Ever! what do you think is the best fps ever?
The Bob replied to iGuest's topic in Computer Gaming
The best fps would be Exhumed For Sega Saturn. Yet to play any FPS that I enjoyed more. Unfortunaltey Im likely the only one on this forum that has played it :(Halo 2 was great aswell, shure it was overated but it was still a damn fine solid game. And for the record, people should stop *****ing about there PC fps vs Halo 2. Halo 2 is the best CONSOLE fps, its got nothing to do with Halph Life or any other fps(that is equealy overated by pc owners).
