Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage A kids game, but still fun
Jeigh1405241495 replied to Umbra's topic in Computer Gaming
I played it a bit...but didn't like it. I'm not a huge platformer fan as it is and just something about the spyro series kinda irks me... -
Swat 4 What do you think about this game?
Jeigh1405241495 replied to Philywiskaz's topic in Computer Gaming
I have recently...aquired...a copy of this game but have yet to bother installing it. Been playing KOTOR2...and then San Andreas is comming out for PC soon...but once I get done with both of those I'll be sure to check out SWAT4 and letcha all know what I think of it, lol.But yea I have played those style tactical shooters before and I've heard S4 is well polished and nicely done so I'll probably enjoy it alot. -
Well assumedly most will say their fav is the one they play the most. Its all just personal taste. Like I said I didn't like 1.6 much at all compared to source...but thats just me. As long as both are around, choose your poison and love every minute of it

Ps3 spring 2006... to bad :(
Jeigh1405241495 replied to darkool's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I say Sony should take their time as well...Halo 3 will hurt them no matter what. Plus H3 is probably already done and waiting for the PS3 release and M$ will just say its still in dev until whenever that arrives...or not, whatever...But yea just because the PS3 has much better hardware doesn't mean it'll have better software. The programmers may be able to more easily get more effective power from the xbox360, the general game content may be higher quality for the 360, they might have better exclusive games, etc. I'm not saying I think these WILL or WON'T happen, I just know you can't call the winner based on specs. Doesn't anyone remember the N64 vs PSX generation? Yea, psx kinda whipped the N64 who was much stronger tech wise. So it's still anybodies game until the games start hitting the shelves -
Yea I keep my linux partition only running on a small chunk of my drives since I keep most of my large data on my windows partition (*cough downloaded games cough*)I actually am planning on switching to a dif linux distro, I ran on mandrake 10 for a fair while but now I'm toying with dif ones, currently running ubuntu and it seems alright...anyways thats somewhat irrlevant to all of you haha. But yea man, glad burning them to a disk helped! Have fun exploring linux

If you have a dvd burner you could try burning it to a disk and booting off of it... Other then that I dont know. I don't have too much experience with installation problems

N4s Underground 2 share all your tips here
Jeigh1405241495 replied to vstxy's topic in Computer Gaming
I wouldn't call NFSU2 a racing "sim"... I mean it's not exactly founded in realism. Sure most of the body mods and performance mods are what people might really upgrade on their ride...but that having been said it's no where near what should be considered a sim. Its an amazing racing game, just not a simulation. Personally I prefer it more then the sim type racing games out their...some realism is fun but too much limits some of the fun stuff you can put into games. -
Worlds Oldest Search Engine.... And possible the worst one.
Jeigh1405241495 replied to Umbra's topic in Search Engines
Smells like a hoax to me...since I'm pretty sure lycos and yahoo came out within 1994...it'd make sense why someone trying to fake being the first would just happen to choose 1993...plus lycos/yahoo both actually work. Officially yahoo was more of a directory then a full net search engine back then, but thats irrelevant...you could still search large masses of pages for what you seek. Anyways yea, it could be legit but I would imagine yahoo/lycos hold the crown as the first (at least first public one, I assume some tech's had search engine whirring along well before then on private systems) -
What's Ur Favourite Final Fantasy? Final Fantasy
Jeigh1405241495 replied to <FF>Summoner's topic in Computer Gaming
As far as I'm concerned, 7's story pulled me in more then any game had before that point. I started playing it and always hated stopping until I had completed the whole game. It's really one of the few long games I have played through multiple times without hesitation simply because I knew I would love the play each time thru and find new **** every time too.Alot of the early ones were amazing for their times and I havn't played the ones post-ps1 era...but still I think 7 will hold it's position as my fav FF for some time to come -

They can add functionality to the nines as long as they dont start dropping gaming as the main focus. I mean, if the quality of hardware from the gamers aspect increases as much as it would either way, why should it matter if they throw in a bunch of extra features. More fetuares mean more sales means more money meaning more future consoles and more developers dropping more money into their games as their is a larger market etc etc etc -
Windows Keyboard Shortcuts FYI
Jeigh1405241495 replied to Troop107-Admin's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I've never really been a huge shortcut key user, but lately I've been using more and more since I've been working as tech support...makes most of the simple **** people break alot quicker to fix haha -
Windowblinds Skins for windows
Jeigh1405241495 replied to rustyburrito55's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Windows Blinds/Object Desktop are too much of a resource hog for me (at least they were last time I checked them out). I prefer to have things running at peak efficiency then looking shiney... but then again maybe I'm just spoiled from having pimped out linux themes running without affecting performance lol.but yea if you are going for straight out cool looks I would agree that blinds are a good choice -
Getting New Vid Card which one is better
Jeigh1405241495 replied to ebbinger_413's topic in Hardware Workshop
Once you get into the highest levels of cards nvidia and ati are pretty much neck and neck, depends what games you play to depend which would be better...but usually ppl just say whatever they have is the best anyways so its irrelevant haha.Personally nVidia lost my faith when they released a couple gens of *BLEEP* cards but they seem to be back and holding their own so hopefully both companies will keep releasing primo cards -
Getting New Vid Card which one is better
Jeigh1405241495 replied to ebbinger_413's topic in Hardware Workshop
of those two I'd go for the 9550...I'm not 100% on what the card has for features but the 9200 is getting to be outdated a bit to be something you upgrade to. It'd be best to get a card with as many of the newer flashy capabilities that they are building into more and more games now...assuming you plan to use it for gaming -
Hm, could be interesting to see how they handle longhorn...I'm still kinda hesitant about it since they dropped the new WinFS file system (or whatever it was called) and have all that rights management stuff theh want to build into it :|
-
Yea, just a little over a week until san andreas hits the pc if I'm not mistaken. I can't wait...although I wouldn't really consider it a shooter myself many may
-
Seems like a game worth checking out...I recognized the name but I'm pretty sure I never saw much information on it before now.

You bring up a good point about the testing. People either will ***** about not enough maps being released, or ***** about maps having glitches in them. Personally I'd prefer less maps but having maps that are polished to perfection when I get them

Wireless Router Wireless Router Networking
Jeigh1405241495 replied to Mentalsatan's topic in Computer Networks
Yea running a home network is pretty awesome. Makes it easy to run lan games and makes file sharing between computers a breeze (as well as the mentioned firewall capabilities of most routers to make your network and computer much more safe whilst venturing around the interwebs) -
I stopped playing CS when 1.6 was released...couldn't stand certain aspects of the changes they've made. It really started going downhill for me about 1.2 so its no wonder I prefer source hands down (based off an early retail build) then 1.6. No riot shield is reason enough to prefer source haha.Anyways yea, I wish they'd release more skins/maps, but the skins for characters are kind of irrelevant although a nice touch, and its understandable why their maps take so long. The maps released by most third party ppl are waaay less polished.

Halo 3 Rumors of Halo 3 coming out soon...
Jeigh1405241495 replied to G_Man10110's topic in Computer Gaming
Leaving a cliffhanger and being imcomplete are two completely different things...not that I defend their choice just thought I'd point out that the two are not variants of each other -

Hl2 Halo2 Doom3? which one do you think is the best?
Jeigh1405241495 replied to Killer008r's topic in Computer Gaming
While really the only thing those games have in common is that they are all FPS's, my favorite would be HL2. Both HL2 and CS:Source are awesome good times. Doom3 was great but way different from HL2 ( plus D3 took a killer machine even in comparison to HL2...). Halo 2 is freaking awesome as well though really. All 3 are awesome titles in there own merits. HL2 for story and style, D3 for graphics and atmosphere, halo 2 for multiplayer 'have a group of friends over' style fun
