Proton replied to kokushta's topic in Websites and Web Designing
https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/?utm_source=getfirefox-com&utm_medium=referral Yeah, just use mozilla firefox. The only problem is that you will have troubles streaming video. Go to: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/?utm_source=getfirefox-com&utm_medium=referral to download then go to Mozila firefox tweeks to improve the speed in which you can browse at. -
The only thing I don't like is that you can't send .exe files. Hotmail which allows these files and scansis better, but of cource offers barely any favourable features. Gmail is good for keeping backups etc of your emails. Thats what I do anyway

I actually think the main thing is the great speed and functionabiliy advantage on desktop PC's. For example there is a lot of cooling space in a desktop so the computer can be ovoerclocked to greater speeds than it already is. The same heat issue effects the type of CPU that can be installed into a laptop. It has to be a low heat CPU, which means the cache level has to be lower than desktops. The main advantage I think is the space that desktops have for parts.

Killer008r, Frontpage Problem Logging In
Proton replied to NilsC's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Yes, I think so, but you should upgrade to frontpage 2003 if you want to experience advanced features of the frontpage. In frontpage under remote site settings make sure frontpage/sharpoint services is checked and that you type your web as http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/. And edit your index.htm to get your website working. -
Frontpage 2003 also allows you to use FTP, infact it lets you use: FTP, frontpage services, sharepoint services, webdav, and remote system protocol.
-
haha, frontpage isn't that bad, maybe it is because you people are using frontpage 2002 or below. Frontpage 2003 uses templates which make changing the look of your website so easy! Just by editing one file, all the pages in your website are changed, ready for uploading. If the server you are uploading to have frontpage 2003 extensions installed then you can do the updating online and not even have to upload. There is nothing to hate there

Farcry Is The Greatest Fps Ever! hands down the sweetest
Proton replied to Darren0330's topic in Computer Gaming
THe graphics are definately very good, but I sort of don't like the GUI, Soldier of fortune 2 has a better GUI. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ is the official website for it I think, and has lots of mods and map etc which is good. I would probably give is a 8 out of 10. What about you? -
Yeah, I recomend you getting from a small bussiness, as things are just much easier and cheaper. Make sure you remember to not get a Celeron unless you are not planning to use any software that is likely to require more than 128/256kb cache. Also if you are wanting to play games, try get a mobile readon for cheap but good graphics

Bullet Time" provides this game's first major hook - this is where the Marketing team are placing their focus. Bullet time let's you slow the action down to a crawl, allowing you to make those cool sideways dives, twin pistols firing in slow motion - you can even see the bullets flying through the air and the slow motion debris burst from the scenery, should you miss. John Woo would be proud.Fortunately, the Max Payne is not too realistic - there's blood allright and plenty of it - but you wont see any "Soldier of Fortune" style innards or detachable limbs. Don't be fooled into thinking this is one for the kids though - it's dark themes (from just plain nasty murder through to torture and the occult) and stylized "no holds barred" presentation make this game one strictly for adults, ones who know it's just a game at that. The levels vary from inside to outside, concrete jungles to nightclubs and more - the only problem is that it's never hard to figure out where to go. There are some puzzles, sure, but it's not particularly challenging first finding then solving them. However, don't let that make it sound easy - it's not. A lot of the game's difficulty (and it's not easy) comes from trying to find ways to clear out a room with strategically placed bad guys - you die very easily, especially with the amount of munitions some of these chaps are hurling about... add to that the clever adaptive difficulty (if you suck, the game goes easy on you - if you are raking up the baddies, it pulls out all the stops - it can get mind bogglingly tough) and you have yourself a genuine challenge. All in all, while it has it's faults (some early problems with Geforce 3 cards, lack of animation in the facial textures) these are far and away outweighed by the incredible presentation and sheer playability of this stylish contender for the coveted title of "action game of the year" - Halflife won that once before and until Max, we had not enjoyed a game nearly as much. Now, that crown has been passed on - yes, it's different to Halflife, but with the focus firmly on the experience for the gamer, Remedy have hit the nail firmly on the head: This is the game of the year.

okay, so is it possible to open them in new windows?
-
lol, nice tweek, can't the people who want to open the properties just undo the registry edit though?
-
hahaha, nice, I would only buy this if it is waterproof. All my pendrives seem to get left in my trouser pockets and go through the washing machine. It is later that I find them on the ground under the clothes line and find that it still works
