  1. I have Fedora Core 3 installed, but mostly i run Windoze XP to run SoF2 (shame on me, i know it) . As soon as i get SoF2 to run on FC, i'll drop windows.
  2. no problem, just access through a proxy in arab land, CONFIRMED : connect through this proxy (or any other that is located in egypt) : 62.139.195.18:80 and youll see the 2 GB ad popping right under your nose.
  3. It's all gecko based isn't it? So any thing gecko based will read it.Ehm guys, IF someone wants to have a website with frames, they probably can build one theirselves, do you expect that the standard-issue-i-want-a-website-person knows what frames are?AND i totally agree with crypt, frames are lamePS. I'm not a webdesigner, more a webprogrammer, i build 'applications' for webpages like content-management-systems and stuff. :)
  4. I don't think the sploit will run under FireFox does it ? I never use IE anyways.
  5. Yeah, gues you're right there. :)Anyways, don't packetsniffers need huge amount of HD? and POP3 mail accounts passwords are sent unencrypted .Still https and ssl do encrypt their data before sending didn't they ?
  6. It might be better to use a animated Gif instead of the java thingy.
  7. I just don't like the java thingy. and as Nils said, the dark background kinda gets quite irritating to look at. And why do i get a weird popup if i click on the logo?
  8. Really eh? I wanna bet that I can create a chat thingy . And with SSL and PGP you don't have to worry about packetsniffers :). Anyways, i don't work yet (i'm 17), I think it's unfair if you don't let anyone go on IM and then as admin do everything you want. That's what's going on at my school, the admins are downloading stuff as if their lives depended on it. And the users of the computers at the library are having *BLEEP* slow internet access and having all kinds of limitations on their pc's. They also use some kind of VNC-**** to monitor everything you do. Of course, IM'ing and gaming is not supposed to be done there, but then the admins shouldn't do that too. In reaction to that i wrote a lil program that disabled all the spy stuff on the pc's (A) )If i were i boss i don't think i would mind if employees read and write some personal email or IM'ing. IF the work isn't suffering from it.
  9. , just one thing, how do you want to keep up to date? You need a whole team to scroll the internet to collect faqs and stuff. But if you really wanna do this, try to keep up with the competition is the advice.
  10. Really declaring font so much is useless. just put everything in one font-tag
  11. me 2, but first some little tests with packetsniffers to see what it sends and receives.
  12. [sarcasm] yeah cool, of course, they are going to integrate gmail, google search and internet browsing, and send periodically status reports back to them. So they know what you look for, what you mail others about, and your conversations on Gmessenger. Aah hell, let's make 'n GoogleOS too, so we can all search everything we want when we want and let mr. google know all about it.[/sarcasm]Google has to focus on SEARCH not messaging, browsing and OS'ing. :)
  13. Well, since apache is the most used webserver and famous for its secureness... at least over IIS
  14. It looks nice, but maybe you should pay a little attention the the official W3C guidelines. watch this page: http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http://wnagym.narod.ru/
  15. You could also use HTTP authentication, with that you can LOCK certain folders, so if you have a public site at http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ you can LOCK http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/, and put your stuff there, so if someone wants to access the member area, they must enter login credentials, the nice part comes now. It's integrated in the Apache Server, so it's very simple to setup. Try finding an tutorial for it, if you can't find one. the advantage is that the chances of being exploited due to poor php scripts or login screens isn't there.
  16. Ehm dude? I don't see the flaw? If i want to get on a NTFS partition I boot Knoppix with NTFS support, it even boots from floppy. If you have physical access to the computer and the data is NOT encrypted, chances are that 99 out of 100 times you can at least READ the data. Booting another OS would do, or the w2k boot disc. Anyways, this so called 'exploit' was found quite a while ago. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
  17. easy cake,<?php$variable = '<span id="span1">comment1</span> <span id="span2">comment2</span>'echo strip_tags($variable);?>strip_tags strips all html tags and stuff.
  18. He wants to make a online rpg, why would you need visual basic for that. I think using PHP and maybe some flash-stuff should be sufficient. I'll think about it, i don't know if i got enough time. You did mean those good old real text adventures, didn't you?
  19. Freeserverhost eh? just use cPanel access, i don't think you can do that with FTP.
  20. whoops, i forgot the submithtml -- [feedback.html]===============<html><head><title>asdf</title></head><body><form action="feedback.php" method="post"><input type="text" id="name" name="name"> <--- the senders name<input type="text" id="email" name="email"> <--- the senders mail<textarea name="contents"></textarea> <--- the mail contents<input type="submit" value="Submit"></form>
  21. It might be a little better if you convert ESCAPE that javascript or to convert every character to a char(...) / chr (...) value.
  22. To clear it up a little, by the energy i meant foscil energy, excluding nuclear and solar power. To answer your question, i thought that i read it somewhere, but it also could be wrong. But i'll try to dig it up. Btw. proving it isn't difficult, all you need to do is take get your hands on data such as : the total amount of gas oil and coals, the amount of energy that you get when you burn the stuff and that gets you the energy you'll have. But i think we're going a little off topic here.
