http://www.apacheweek.com/features/put <---Blant definition of how to use the PUT method. As far as Xisto goes to support it, I'm pretty sure it is allowed, but since my hostings been down for a god awful amount of time, I've forgotten where everything in Cpanel is. However, if I remember correctly there should be a Icon that handles either cgi scripts, or scripts, or something along those lines. Sorry if I'm wrong, ~Spaceh

Good tutorial on making money, I however don't really know if I should approve this or not.Onto the topic at hand though, personaly I think a combination of the well know "donation button ", Amazon, and Selling things would be your, or any single serving internet user. My reasoning behind this? Well, all those things are managed by yourself, so you can work at your own pace, quit the program when you want to, and not have to make deadlines if you don't have the time (though you'd lose buisness that way...). However, when you're selling things for another company, you're dependant on how well they fair, on your cut, and on how much you're willing to advertise their products...Which leads to people losing interrest in what's really important..YOU, well, your website more specifically.Just my two cents though, and I'll approve this anyways...Another mod may close this if they choose.Cheers .

Nice bit of links to tutorials, however you cannot put that inside the tutorial section as you DID NOT write it .However, some of those websits are quite useful, so I've moved this topic to it's more suitable section. -
Securing Wireless Network Slow Things Down?
spacewaste1405241471 replied to WeaponX's topic in Computer Networks
You should be pretty ok mate...But let's face it, all types of firewalls will slow your connection down a tad, and the more you have, the more it will be slowed down, but never to the point of lagging. It never hurt anybody to be too safe, so just try not to worry...And 3Mbps is incredibly fast as it is :/ -
Google and Yahoo are some of the most famous search engines for a multitude of reasons..Some of which being:*They have indexed such a vast % of the internet that they can provide the best results depending what you're looking for.*They do not look like a horrible search engine: In the sense that they are nice and proper and have a little amount of advertising to good quality search results*Google is always trying to improve their coverageEx: Google pictures (google was the first to think of this)Ex2: Google beta movies...It'll search for movie clips and stream them through google*Not to mention google's extensive caching .And well Yahoo's got nice fine qualities too:*They've been around since almost the beginning, and people have always like em for that*They host a multitude of other things: Chat, vids, music, etc...*They basicly have alot more quality extractions and alot less crap like just looks .There's alot more reasons then what I've given, but these are the most general...Hope this clears things up a bit

Yahoo! Chats Opening Again, But At What Cost?
spacewaste1405241471 replied to tansqrx's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I think topic fits better this category Tans...As it's something new .I think the whole removal of chatrooms was rediculous though. But yahoo is more then likely just trying to save face. Also, from now on Tans, please post "what's new" topics inside this section.I'm only moving your most relevant thread. As moving the rest would be kinda spammy since some are old.Hope you get the idea though. -
"The I will check that" has been taken care of . And we've all been computer illeterate at one point, some of us still are. So unless you were born with knowledge of every computer language to be thought up, I suggest you be more compasionate towards the other members. On topic, thank you for the great link Sarah.

A mix of Java/Mysql+php would be pretty nice.Flash also might work in there, but remember, flash cannot be indexed by search bots. Also, what kinda of project are you looking to do?

Lesson 1: Never click anything that I.E pops up . Or any browser for that matter..Unless you've got some surfing experience under your belt. Lesson 2: If it's the pop-up I think it is, then this is a exploit used through msn messenger. Disabling msn messenger should fix the problem, but I'm pretty sure if you close a certain port that will also work. Since I'm not sure what port it is you need to close, just download the most recent updates from Microsoft...And that should fix your problem. (Though, I don't recommand service pack 2 and up as they also turn off certain key features that I for one like ). Now onto your spy-ware problem. Winfixer is a very common trick most typical internet users fall for. They see a nice little message saying: Hey, you, guy who doesn't know anything about computer, download me and I can make all your wildest dreams come true. And so they download it. Thinking wow, this thing sounds neat . When really it's simply there to make your life hell . To fix this, I wouldn't recommend any of the links ViriiGuy posted, except for maybe ZoneAlarm, and more then likely Ad-Aware. Probably not ZoneAlarm though as it's just asking to be hacked. What you'll probably wanna do to get rid of your problem is to firstly download Ad-Aware from lavasoft, and then the anti-spyware beta program from microsoft.com These two programs will work hand in hand to get rid of 99% of the adware/spyware on your computer. After you've run them both, make sure to set the anti-spyware from microsoft to be watching your computer at all times. This should further protect you from most threats. Now onto what else you'll need. 1. The latest norton+worm protection (I'd recommend a suit product). 2. The McAfee firewall (Just because it's my favourite , and protects you from a great amount of threats out there!). Once you've bought both these, and downloaded the two spyware protection programs, you're computer should be quite tight security wise . Infact, you could even do a google search on port scanning too make sure you're safe afterwards (this is more for the firewall). And have the website scan you. Then it'll tell you how safe you really are. (Though, I'd recommend posting which website you plan on using first, as it might not be a 100% safe website). Hope these tips help your friend (or you ). Post your feedback back into this thread. And btw, if the problem on happened just recently a rollback using windows might be a easier option . Don't forget to continously update your products/OS aswell! ~Spaceh.

Computer Shuts Down - Why? Unknown Cause...so stumped
spacewaste1405241471 replied to Grafitti's topic in Hardware Workshop
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it 120V, now 110V? Idk though. Just a wild idea.. Also, as Herco said, you should keep your computer panels on if you're using a cooling system, because then it'd be cooling the computer less then it should be. If it's the video card you should look ASAP else you might have it fused onto your motherboard (not good). I don't think it'd be the power supply though, because then chances are you'd blow a fuse, or simply short-circuit your computer. -
Server Connection Poor
spacewaste1405241471 replied to xboxrulz1405241485's topic in Web Hosting Support
Please don't double post. This is a shared hosting service, so do not expect 100% connectivity, though we give damn close to it!I can however recommed that if you don't like Xisto, you could try trapt17.com/net and if those don't suit your needs...Welll...mastercomputers.com is always willing to sell you a dedicated server . -

Intel Announces 65nm Ultra-low Power Process
spacewaste1405241471 replied to whihathac's topic in Websites and Web Designing
It's fine, but it was under tutorials...Which gives you more credits, and since he didn't quote at first, he probably got a but load of credits. Back onto the topic at hand though . -
Strange...Very strange.A while back there was a tutorial about this, and it was a good tutorial, very useful/helpful.I can't seem to find it anymore though. My two cents on tor though: No matter what people say, it will lag your connection a little bit...Because you'll be logging on from different parts of the world...And it's basicly like playing on a american server whilst you are in china :/ {lag}.Though, I must admit it is quite secure, and helps me out from time to time .Advice though, when reading on the tor website, make sure you look into privoxy, because your browser may still leak out your info, depending the sockS you are using, so it's always nice to be as safe as you can possibly be.Another thing though, when browsing with tor, on framed pages, if you are logged in using a specific ip, chances are that ip will change every time you go to a another page on the framed site, so be sure to not use tor when you are in that situation, though it will only be during times of games or high security, in which you won't need tor anyways, because it's already secure, so you should be fine .Enjoy.

Hmmm, I did this once to my cousins computer on windows ME.Back then they didn't have a limit to how much virtual memory you could set aside for your computer from your harddrive.Well yeah, I did that...And then the comp kept crashing till I went into safe mode and fixed the problem.Did you mess with the virtual memory at all? I know windows xp has the limit...But you never know, right?
