what i had understood was that phpnuke was going to be "payable"... i mean, from 7.4 on they were going to charge for getting the cms.. am i right????so, is this phpnuke platinum 7.6 free????????????i really liked it, it has the split center blocks.. like xoops!!!!

ok.. i'm creating this topic to give a ahn to new comers... I began with phpnuke (grat cms...) but.... too many sites with it... i mean, my page seemed like a copy... that's not good!!!!!!!!!! so, i migrated everything to xoops (a pretty extensive labor if you have 2 or 3 mb of MySQL data....) so, now, i really like xoops.. although i don't know many cms.. deepply... i would recommend http://www.opensourcecms.com/

I was asking the same question a few weeks ago.. i found this solution (althought a do know a feedback services called netgear, at http://www.tripod.lycos.com/):You can have a form that send you the results... but the message has to be sent by the visitor using a mail configured software as eudora or outlook... (this is not a good solution)And, you can do it using cgi... ususally host servers have this services, but if they dont, you can look for a free cgi feedback services... or.you can explore php and MySQL... and CMS's the feedback modules are pretty easy to use

humm.......... that's true, the help support service it's GREAT!!!!... but the hosting services.... well, i opened an occount, great.. then... 3 weeks down!!!!!1 (the server was attacked)... so i opnened a new one.. the... 2 weeks down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.... AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! that's just terrible for a portal!!!!!!! a went from 500 hits to 25!!!!! (on those two months... ) and now, has publicity... on that's not well coded, it messes up my design... they're doing a great job... but i guess they has a lot of enemys (judging from the attacks and the down time)... So, if you want a good hosting server, try this.. i opened a starters package to test it, and i'm pretty happy with it

notepad for the basics is the best solution you can possibly have to fix, edit o extend html code...even php....And betwen frontpage and dreamweaver... deramweaver is way better... but i prefer frontpage.. cuase it's really simple!!!!!but, jipman it's right... there are i whole lot of freeware that well used can do wonders..

If you're willing to use another ftp client (you didn't say what FTP client you use...) i'ld recommend WS_FTP. You can conffure your client so it's allowed to delete unempty folders... the: it's a partial solution... and in some cases.... the harderst... useless (refereing to webpages that count with A LOT of folders and subfolders.. and subfolders.. an so on, la CMS.. for ex)... So, what i'ld recommend is that you get a fine FTP client, read it's specification, and delete your folders in the easy intelligent way.

Copurigth is something different in every contry.. i mean, the way it is handled...For ex: in Colobmia the copyrigth of your song can be very cheap.... but in order to do so..1. You have to register as a "trademark"2. When doing so. you can copyright media (like images, company moto, etc.. in a webpage case it can be a lot of stuff)3. Do u really need Copyright??? as longs as you're not breaking any... and you won't get mad if someone us one of your contents or images... in which case.. u don't need it..

i think it's a good way of designing a webpage... you say it takes forever to load.. but when it's fully loaded u don't have to wait for nothing more... php and html.. and all codes in general take fewer time to load ONE page... but it would take "forever" to load teh entire contents....that's why full flash sites are good for company sites (not so many information cantained in it).. making it enjoyable to see (even if is dull data).. jejeThese sites a very good for artists pages... u can take full advantage of media settings...in general. For each necesitie there's a solution.. full flash sites are not meant for every need...

the thing about the desktop seeker it's true!!!!fisrt, it crashed my pc... and after i solved the problem... my pc was a little sloppy...But in general, google do a great job when it does one. so, gbrowser seems promesing (i don't know how to write that word)

I don't expect this post to count as one...I have participate on different topics oppened about this issue... and like other topics.. users don't bother to browse trough the openned forums... they just limit to new topics... and the openned ones are left to die... the wworst of this... messages get repeated... for ex, when i saw this.. and i saw Avant Browser (ther other topics aboiut it didn't included it).. i went: "Hey, i'm gonna vote -i did-)i realy like avant, and didn't like firefox....

i don't know how to log into my ftp account.I have tried several passwords, the one the inicially gave me.. but the a i change my password.. i used that one.. that didn't work eitherthen i tried creating an account with the sma euseranme they gave me and using the password i selected... that didn't work either.. help me!!!thanks
