  1. It sounds like you have friends but they don't want to help you, or are unable to have the patience to listen to your problems. Making new friends is difficult, but one of the most important things is that the "coolest" people aren't necessarily the best friends. I learnt that a long time ago, and it's a valuable lesson.I don't what the problems in your life are (are there any specific problems or is it just generally life getting you down?) Talking to people can make you feel better if you have good friends (obviously bad friends aren't much use). However, a lot of the time they can ONLY make you FEEL better, and can't actually solve the problem. If you know of a problem in your life that you can't solve, post the SORT of problem (no need to post specifically, you can keep your privacy if you prefer) By "sort of problem" i mean is it a form of bullying (many adults complain of this at work), or a feeling of inadequacy, or just a general feeling of depression. That sort of thing. It would be easier to give advice if we had a vague idea of what the problem is. (However, if you're uncomfortable with the idea then just say so - I wouldn't want to push anybody)
  2. I saw one a few years ago and it was pretty cool. Lunar ones are much easier to watch than solar ones, but the problem with both of them is that ITS ALWAYS CLOUDY DAMMIT!! Honestly - its quite difficult to admire the wonderful colours when you can't see them through the clouds!
  3. I don't think America is likely to go for Somalia again - surely you guys have seen Black Hawk Down - then got massacred! No I think it's a bit difficult to make a prediction. Personally I reckon Bush has a globe in his office and he spins it round and points his finger at a random country and has that for his target. He then used the "weapons of mass destruction" excuse or "humanitarian reasons" excuse and goes in for the oil/other resources/the fun of it.
  4. I don't do any games programming myself, but the "standard language" to use (if there is such a thing) is C++. I never really got the hang of it, so I gave up and went for simpler things like html! Don't underestimate java though - runescape was written in that!
  5. I'm glad somebody agrees with me. I think that a lot of people who criticise the Bible have either never read it, or misinterpreted the meaning of what it says. Personally I try not to criticise things that I know nothing about, but many people in the world seem to criticise anything that they don't understand, sometimes simply BECAUSE they don't understand it.
  6. I played runescape for quite a long time, but it does get quite repetitive. The new version (that "graphics upgrade" that took about 2 years to implement) made a few improvements, but it still got boring again. I gave up a while ago now, and went through a phase of finding open beta's and playing them while they were free. Dragon Raja was cool!
  7. I've never heard of it - whats it like? I've come across too many games that just consist of goals like "conquer the galaxy" and "become a mighty warrior", but those games got boring because the producers ran out of interesting things to put into the game!

(This applies to MMORPGs in general)I could never decide whether it was worse being a noob are having everybody type things like "N()()b" and "N00B", (why can't people ever learn to spell?!), or being an experienced player but having to listen to useless players thinking that they're king arthur. GRR!!
  9. lol runescape - might be a classic but MAN it gets boring after a while. I quite liked playing Dargon Raja, but that went pay to play long ago, and I can't afford the subscription costs :PMy friends were into planetside, but I never really bothered with it.
  10. I was looking for some ages ago when I was really bored, but I couldn't find any. Could you list some good ones (other than avatar which has already been listed above) Are MUD's any good, or do they suck?
  11. Time travel games are difficult to do properly because if you revisit an area the game should really log every movement that the player made in case the player and the players past self come into contact. Wierd huh! I'm not that good at following time travel really.
  12. TO find the next american target:Narrow the list down to those WITHOUT any serious weapons, and the smallest armyPick one at random. That will be the target (within the next 10 years or so)THe bad thing is I'm british and it could be britainIf I was an American I'd run for president myself!
  13. I'm a Christian - don't know if I mentioned that earlier, but there it is. Even if you don't believe in God or stuff like that, there are definately a lot of teachings in the Bible that are really build into our human nature, and also a lot of wise solutions. Not wanting to go into a theological discussion (well not here anyway):-A good example would be where 2 women claim to be the mother of a child. Solomon ordered a guard to cut the baby in half, and while one woman agreed, the other begged him not to. Solomon then declared the one who begged the spare the child life the real mother. (1 Kings 3:16-28)Is that wisdom or what! The Bible's full of wisdom like that, and a lot of helpful advice can be found there once you get around the phobea of it being a "big bad religious book"Enough theology for now though! Does anybody have any problems that want to discuss? On the topic of suicide - spacewaste is right - it harms everybody around you. How would your friends and family feel if you went ahead with it?
  14. Definately true. Find somebody who cares about you, or if things are really bad find somebody who will at least listen to you and let you rant and rave about how you feel. I know nothing about you, but I'm nearly 17 (and also a Christian which can help a lot sometimes), so appropriate people for me to talk to would be a youth leader at the youth group I go to, or a clergyman, priest, vicar (whatever you want to call them - they all to basically the same stuff, and should all be able to listen to how you feel.) If the worst comes to the worst, post problems on here, if you're anonymous, then nobody can really hassle you about it, just don't use real names if other people are involved. Listen to kokushta though - he's telling the truth - the best cure is love.
  15. I know how you feel - and still have the same problem as well sometimes. Its perfectly normal to be upset and cry. You said that: - Do you mean that like me, you have trained yourself not to cry when you are upset?
