Adobe's Premiere is good from what i hear, as well is Windows Movie Maker, I used it when i first got Windows XP and it seems pretty simple to use from what i remember it splits the film into seperate scene images... yeah 'twas cool .I have heard something about a program called Vegas Video. What you want is something like W3Schools has in its tutorial pages. This is a link which shows what you want it to look like : http://www.w3schools.com/css/tryit.asp?filackground-color I am not sure of any other ways except the ones which others have mentioned here. Is it just gonna be testing ONLY html & css not PHP or any other language? The simplest way to do this is to remove the languages tags like : <script><php> etc. This is a very basic way and it shouldn't enable any other language because the tags have been removed. It shouldn't be hard to do all you have to do is get the code from the worksheet and show it in the Preview box, basically like everyone and you have said.

cool Loudthings. I am gonna be learning lisp in the future due to my college work. We have a new unit called Expert Systems (Artificial Intelligence) and were are supposed to be programming our own little AI program when we learn enough. It all seems very interesting to me.

I found the link straight away cos it was the first or second result after i Googled the criteria. I believe the information that Xavian needs is there. Although i am not 100% sure. I am sure that this kind of thing can be a little dangerous in regards to it leeking and screwing up the computer, but i am sure that they have thouroughly tested it and made it as secure as possible. I don't think they could release it unless they were happy with the results. They possibly might have released it if it were not up to scratch, but i don't wanna get sued for liable so... :PAs for the results of this method... i am not really sure. They really have sold the idea that is great on their site, and it makes you believe that it is great. Being as it was designed for their specific computer system i am sure that it has to work well otherwise they might have seen a loss in profit.That said it does sound extremely cool, very inovative. Xevian: could you give a little more information about what Flooble/Xanga is. This might give some of us a greater chance in helping you to figure out how to fix your problem. lacking_imagination: I do not know exactly what software Pixar use, but the closest you will probably get to it is 3D Studio Max (3ds max). I don't think that you will be able to get the exact software which is used by the animation companies. You can download a trial version of the latest version of 3DS Max from discreet.com which is the creator of it.Other software packages would be like Maya, Lightwave, POV Ray. Good luck with whatever you want to do with it.

I believe your problem is you are using the single quotes (') within single quotes to enter the values into the database. This is why it is parsing and error, this is not allowed. So your code would become: $query .= " '$_POST[documento]' , '$_POST [nombre]' , '$_POST [email]' , '$_POST [telefono]' )"; you can see that i have removed the single quotes from within all of the values you want to enter into the database. instead of $_POST['fieldname'] you would have $_POST[fieldname]. I think that is the answer to your problem. If it is not then i am sure someone will have the answer for you. if you have any more errors feel free to post them here. good luck overture.

OK. Think of the pressure sensitivity like this. When you are drawing with a pencil and you are barely using any pressure it comes out very lightly, but when you press really hard the link comes out darker and thicker. When you are using a tablet when you press very softly the line comes out very light and thin but when you press harder... you know the rest. You can tell how this works cos if you look at the nib of the pen (the plastic stick) you can see it become shorter as it is being pressed up into the bulk of the pen.you can use it to do really light sketches or outlines and so on.overture.

I have heard of 'TRUST', but i know nothing about them really. If they did have any pressure sensitivity configuration then i guess it would only be around 512 levels or pressure sensitivity or less. i only have 512 levels myself on my cheap Graphics Tablet which i have given information about before. Wacom has a maximum of 1024 i believe which is still a heck of a lot better.

OK. This tutorial may be helpful to people who use Delphi, for anyone else... it will probably be boring . This tutorial is going to explain briefly how to use the TFileStream Class. For anyone who has wanted to say... save any data from a listbox and during run-time you wanted to append different information to it, or throughout the applications running time and then save the information when the application closes then you should use the TFileSteam Class. The great thing about this is it can read, write and save the information in the exact order from any component (in this case a listbox). When using it, it writes and saves the data onto the hard-disk in some kind of file - this file type can be chosen during codeing. When you want to reload the data previously saved all it has to do is stream it back into the memory and specify it to a component. Remember when it is reloaded it does so in its original form (order) which is the whole point of using it in this case. note: i am showing this code from within a procedure so you need to read on to see how it is called. The reason i want to share the following information i recently had to create it for a programming assignment for college, and instead of me iterating the code i decided to put it all into a single procedure. The scenario was that i needed to create a game in which match fixtures were created and it required me to keep each set of fixtures for future reference(there was a whole lot more to it but it doesn't matter). This is the basic code which is needed to read the data into the listbox is as follows (i have added comments to explain briefly what each part does) GameName:=TFileStream.Create(FileName, fmOpenRead); //It creates the stream from the specified filename. It then opens and reads the appropriate file using the 'fmOpenRead' mode. There are many more values to suit wider needs.GameName.ReadComponent(lb); //read the items into the listbox in the correct order (done automatically)GameName.Free; //free the memory which this process has taken up note: 'lb' stands for 'ListBox' This next block of code is to show you how to save the data: GameName:=TFileStream.Create(FileName, fmCreate); //creates the file using the 'fmCreate' mode.GameName.WriteComponent(lb); //This gathers the data from the specified listboxGameName.Free; This is the basis for reading, writing and saving data from the listbox. The problem i had was i needed to do this several times for different games and this may have took some time. Instead i decided to make a procedure to perform this for me and me only specifying the FILENAME and GAMENAME. This is what the whole procedure looks like: PROCEDURE TfrmMain.LBFileStream(GameName:TFileStream; FileName:String);BEGIN IF FileExists(FileName) THEN BEGIN GameName:=TFileStream.Create(FileName, fmOpenRead); GameName.ReadComponent(lb); GameName.Free; END; GameName:=TFileStream.Create(FileName, fmCreate); GameName.WriteComponent(lb); GameName.Free;END; As you can see i have added a little more checking in the code, i have checked to see whether the file exists or not - if it does then to read the items into the listbox, and if not then to read the listbox and create the appropriate file. There are two variables which i have included within this procedure - GameName (which is what the file game will be called, and the filename which is what file will be called. The last thing to do now is to call the procedure to create and read our file. This is the code: LBFileStream(SpillikinsStream, 'SpillikinsList.dat'); The word Spillikins refers to a type of Game. As you can see the two variables which were declared within the procedure have been used (the ones within the brackets). I decided i wanted to store the items into a .DAT file as to keep the items as secure as possible (.DAT files are not easily editable). A file will be created called 'SpillikinsList.dat'. This will hold the data from the listbox. You see that the one line of code can be used to call the single procedure multiple times, this saves me writing out the code each time for each game. I hope this has helped some of you if not informed you of something you might not otherwise have known. If you see a problem or mistakes please tell me and i will correct them as i am doing this and a lot of other work at the same time. thankyou overture.

This is going to be an extremely simple tutorial for you all. I know many people still don't understand XHTML in the respect of "why use it", but this tutorial is not to explain to you why, i believe mastercomputers explained it all in another topic. This topic is to tell you how to open another window while being XHTML 1.0, 1.1 valid. I will be using Javascript so you can either put the code in an external file and link to it (remember to add the '/' before the '>' ). This is the simple Javascript function we will be using: function launchit(url) {[tab][/tab]window.open(url);} This function when called upon will create and open a window which will take you to the website which has been given. The above code has a variable within it called 'url', this is so that it knows that something is going to be used in order for the function to work correctly, in this case a website address. This is the code to use it correctly: <a href="http://overture.uni.cc" onclick="launchit('http://overture.uni.cc'); return false;">Some Link</a> As you can see the function is called upon using the onclick event within the anchor tag. I hear you say "what does the 'return false' do". This basically stops the focused window (the window which the link is on) to not go to that website as we want it to open in another window (that is the whole point of this tutorial). The normal way to do this would be to use this code: target="_blank"This would open the window getting the url from within the href="". This however is not valid XHTML and will return and error when it is checked. This is because the 'target' attribute is not supported in XHTML 1.0 or 1.1. I do believe it is in XHTML TRANSITIONAL (could someone verify that for me). Well that is it. I believe this all works correctly. If not tell me the problem and i will try and correct yours or my mistake. overture.

When i start my Graphics Design course in September in Uni (if i get accpeted) I will (well actually i already have started saving) be getting a Wacom, probably an A5 as i have an A6 tablet already(not Wacom). I know all of the features that the Wacoms have but i do not actually know anyone that can tell me performance wise why is is better than a £30 one i already have. They have 1024 pressure sensitivities which is twice the amount mine has.could someone tell me if they know. I have not come across anything which i have not been able to do with the one i have yet.Thanks.overture.

I do not know whether you have installed it by now but if not you should try download EasyPHP. It comes in a very different languages. You can get it from EasyPHP It has full documentation and installation guide, it is around 10 to 12 Megabytes if i remember correctly. I found no troubles installing it except that it seemed to install itself in French even though i chose English. This was simple to overcome, even though I know no French. You can change the language once it is installed. You can change the directory in which you want to view the files instead of typing in the absolute directory like LOCALHOST/mydocuments/somefolder/website/somefile.php so it would become LOCALHOST/somefile.php I found this extremely cool. overture.

I know a great little program called Easy HTML. It was created by ToniArts. I downloaded this a couple of years ago i think when i first started in website design. I do not know if you can still find the version that I have as i think he upgraded it and many of the features are now gone which i found to be a little annoying. If you can find it, it will be very good for you or anybody starting in website design. Flash can be very good when used in moderation. i do not personally like full flash sites even though i have done a couple before. I find them a little annoying, i am not sure why. it seems to me that the people that i know that have done flash sites do them for the security of the information help within, and not much else. When used for like headers and footers which contain little animations it can appear to make the website that little more interactive and gives the feeling that the owner has spent some time on it. Have some of you noticed that UN-professional flash sites are either Red or Blue?

@ndhill: thanks for answering. I have had Painter for a couple of months now, but i never seem to get around to using it. I know it is a really FU**ing great program and really amazing stuff can be done with it but i seem to be stuck to Photoshop as it was my first love lol. I am finding it hard not to do what i am doing in it as i am use to all of the shortcuts and the interface. anyone else found that problem. i am sure it is very common.

When i saw that there was going to be a new comedy on BBC 2 i got a little excited, but when i watched the first 10 minutes i just didn't think it was funny AT ALL. What i read about it said it was good but i just did not find it funny. so i haven't watched it since.
