I fixed it I had to use ftp.mysubdomain.astahost.com with my username and password and it came right up. If this happens to anyone esle use ftp.yourdomain.astahost.com to connect with your username and password. Now back to business why did the ftp Xisto.com used to work and now I am having to use my domain, I have not really changed anything except by OS which crashed (maybe it was always that way) Must be another operator error, well I am back to FTP so it doesn't matter.

Don't worry about permissions on Windows it doesn't use them all files on your Windows Apache web folder most likely htdocs are chmod 777 (not really but they are treated the same). Unless you click a file and change its properties to read only or hidden (the only options except for advanced option of indexing it or archiving it) then you should have no problems with file permissions those are unix or linux only.

Actually the only real problem with a premodded script is that if you have other mods installed you will most likely have t reinstall them, no modification for phpBB ever will change the config.php (unless your mod was from a malicious hacker) since most mods deal with the forum itself not access to the database although some mods do require alteration or updates be made they depend on the config.php to work. Unless a file is an archive or you have purposefully set it as read only they should all be not only readable but writable also. I you have file on your web server on your home PC you should have no trouble with the permissions of the files. Those values 777 755 655 or any combination are only with unix or linux type servers and can se altered with most FTP programs, so I don't really understand what your problem with a web server on a Windows machine could possibly be concerning read write and execution permissions.

I had a Monitor and I think it was a Toshiba and it had a mic built in and the colors on it didn't make any sense either I just kept swapping different plugs where I thought the audio out should be till it started playing the windows default error sound and left that alone then messed around til I got the mic working, the worst that can happen is it wont work.

Instead of using a bunch of elseif statements why not a CASE in a switch or even better, why not just have a drop down box or graphics that allow a user to choose the language themselves? The reason you should not attempt to send some one to a particular language would be that they are on a computer that might not be their own and possibly if they are in another country while using that computer. On my sites you have 33 Flags representing 33 various languages that the user selects when coming to the site, and in my forums they can choose from 20 languages including English with two forms of Chinese and two forms of German.
