the first computer that I've ever owned was like 5 to 9 years ago. I was custom made by a comp shop run by chinese people who ripped me off. the system was so unreliable, it was always freeze and crashing so often it wasn't even funny. It had like 64ram, I don't even remember how fast it went, probably like .00000001 ghz, and it had like <1 gig of space. It was so slow, so sucky, I got riped off so bad it was just said. I mean people at that time paid for comps that were twice as fast as mine and still paid the same price of 1k.

Trillian is better since it supports msn, icq?, and aim. Msn is not that great because they force you to install software that you don't want onto your system, kind of like aim. However you have to pay extra for Trillian since its not a free download and you have to actually pay for it.

I think HD is better since sony is like investing in it. It'll probably go mainstream before blu-ray does and take over the market And HD sounds better then blu-ray, i mean when i hear bluray, i think of sting rays in the sea.

nod32 has a firewall??? I did not know that, when I first got nod32 i really liked it so I scorched their site look to see if they also made firewalls which they didn't. They recommended me to stupid kerio, which doesn't even work as well. But I have to say that outpost or zonealarm is the best.

Yeah, zonealarm is not compatible with many software and avs. The best solution would be to get something like kerio or outpost firewall along with a nice av such as nod32 or kaspersky. It won't slow your system down as much as norton

IBM still makes computers? Didn't they go out of buisness like 2 years ago or something like that? Anyway, you don't need a old laptop or an ibm one to run windows98. You can run windows 98 programs on xp as well, just left click on the icon and then go to compatibility. Or you can just buy an up to date laptop and install windows 98 on, which is really cheap right now.

Norton is probably one of the worst antivirus for any notebook or slow desktop with low ram. It eats up so much ram, it doesn't matter if the version is 05 or 06, never use norton. Instead used a av like nod32, its smaller and doesn't use as much memory. It also detects more viruses then norton, at least the company says so. Anyway, I don't think norton 05 is better than 06, they're about the same. Its just the norton 06 eats up more ram.

If you want a cheap solution, I guess a wireless network would cost around less then 100 dollars. I mean all you really need is a router and a networking card wither for your laptop or even for your desktop. I personally got my setup, a netgear 108 router and pci card for my desktop for less then 100 dollars on ebay. It works perfectly and it not that expensive.

I dnot know about you guys, but personally I dislike wireless mouse. They never work for me, or I keep thinking that that the mouse is too inaccurate. Maybe its just me, but i keep thinking that wireless mouse are either slow or inaccurate

I always prefer ps over xbox. Like sony over microsoft, so I will have to go with the ps3. Even though it didn't come out yet, I'm sure its going to be better than xbox360 since the 360 still has so many bugs like image freeze and sudden shutdown. Since ps3 is coming out next year, I hope theres more games and technology included in the ps3

Hey everyone, I have one more question. I have just purchased a windows media PC with the ability of recording TV shows. Now, out of curiousity, is there a possible wireless setup that would enable me to view the prerecorded shows in a different room? In other words, without the use of wires, is there some kind of imitated gateway or router sort of thing that'll 'transfer' the prerecorded show which originates from my computer in one room to another computer ( or simply a television ) in another room? If there is no such thing, is there an alternate way to view the show (on a television) in the other room with wires (preferably without the use of a xbox 360)?

My favorite rifle is also the m4. I think that its more accurate than the ak47 even at distance. I also believe that its more powerful. Also it has a silencer, so that a plus. Some people download the spyware and adware without knowing it. Most people are not computer illerate. They don't know much about computers or why their computers slow down so much. They don't even know what a spyware does or how to fix that problem. However, some people donwload stuff like limewire and kazaa at their own will knowing that there will be adware and spyware. Some download softwares like aol, which comes with a useless weatherbug. The people who should take the blame for all the spyware and adware are the makers and companies who wants to advertise. There should be a law if not already banning all forms of spyware. Then theres spyware from overseas....

Yes Vbulletin is not free, but you can also use Invisionfree. Its free and its a pretty good forum package. However, it doesn't have all the features of Vbulletin. But hey its free, and you don't have to buy it for hundreds of dollars. And I don't think Bulletin is the best, its all based on opinion. IMO i think Invision (not the free one) is equal or better then vbulletin

There will always be trends. If there wasn't then we'll all be dressed in cavemen cloths or colonial clothing. Trends make a society move onward and advance. Like Dvd players were just a trend, but look at it now, its everywhere. Same with computer, there are computers in every part of the world. People shouldn't be hating trends, you can dress whatever you want. But, yeah I agree with you on the issue of all the Gothic and Gangsta looks everywhere. Why can't they just dress like a normal person without all the ornate things on their clothing?
