The network admin at my highschool tried to stop us from messing up the computers so he blocked the command prompt, but never blocked us from making batch files, so we would make our own command.com and we copied admin privileges onto a disk and managed to do everything he tried to stop us from doing.

Another thing you must know about me is that I am quite sarcastic 99% of the time. I was kidding of course, but I am indeed the root of all evil Anyway I do hope you enjoy your stay here! And yes I do hope we'll be great friends.

IT'S A TRAP(17)! Yes when I read that first email that you were sent this was what first came to my mind (sans the 17). I thought that putting this guy would be pretty hilarious, but what they are trying to do to you is no laughing matter. Any person you randomly meet on the internet that is asking for your bank account is most likely running some kind of scam. Even if this was legit (which it is not), why would you go through the trouble for this person when they could take advantage of you so easily? Any person that you've never met before that emails you a picture and asks for yours is just asking for trouble.

Ah well hello there Mr. Goody Good John. Mr. Doesn't lie or stereotype people... You will most likely end up hating me because I am the root of all evil. Bwahahahahah.... Ok fine I'm second to the throne of the root of all evil. I guess SM would have to take that place, but I am still second! I am a coder myself. My favorite language is PHP and i absolutely despise java, but for some reason I decided to major in computer science and of course that is what I am forced to learn. *sigh*... Anyway even though you well most definitely hate me, I hope we will become very good friends. I'll see you around.

About programing, apple comes with a program called xcode which is a compiler that can compile java, c++, vb and some others and make them into carbon applications for mac, which is great if you want to develop mac software. Not quite, Apple makes (in my opinion) the best video editing software around, although some may argue that avid is better, Final Cut Pro is definitely the runner up. The few blockbuster films that aren't edited in avid are edited in Final Cut Pro. Unfortunately a copy of final cut studio (includes fcp and some other powerful video compositing software), is going to run you about $1,300. It really depends on how professional you want to go with your video editing. Anyway even if you want to go with something more basic, every mac comes with iLife pre-installed which includes iMovie. Not the best editing software, but it's definitely better than windows movie maker.

Coder Or Designer? HELP ME SOLVE THIS DILEMMA
galexcd replied to phill3112's topic in Websites and Web Designing
MY CAPSLOCK KEY IS BROKEN TOO!!!! OH COME ON HASLIP, CAPSLOCK IS THE CRUISE CONTROL FOR COOL!!1!!1! All seriousness now, people who make websites in dreamweaver and similar software are usually looked down on. First of all their websites won't look the same on all browsers, are not to w3 standards (sometimes they are but a lot of times they end up messing this up), and just make the designer look unprofessional. If you really are too lazy to learn html then I suppose you could use dreamweaver, but html is not a programing language. It uses tags to modify the text that the browser loads into a pretty gui. Php and javascript are programing languages. You wouldn't really need to learn those unless you wanted to do more advanced websites like ones that needed accounts. -
It might be best to do this so people couldn't just fill that information in the url, but request cant get everything that post can. It just matters if you want to restrict the get variable as well.

Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull
galexcd replied to it01y2's topic in General Discussion
Ahh when I first heard that they were making another Indiana Jones movie, and that Ford would be Jones, I thought the exact same thing as salamangkero. Isn't he a little too old to be Jones? I wouldn't mind another movie, but perhaps with a different actor. But I'm sure if they picked someone else all the Indiana Jones fans would riot. I don't know. I definitely will be seeing it when it comes out. -
Grafix-portal Please Visit And Review

Yeah that skin confused me a lot too. I didn't realize the head was part of the skin, I thought it was part of your actual website and I didn't quite understand at first what I was looking at. It's a very nice skin but in my opinion, if all your site contains is a forum, you should at least make the skin for the forum yourself. -
Has Anyone Ever Seen This Before? Permission Denied on FTP Client
galexcd replied to Revan's topic in Web Hosting Support
What is this mysterious folder called, and did you make it yourself? I'm just thinking it may have some data on it that your website needs to run properly. -
Windows Vista Aero Vs Linux Ubuntu Beryl
galexcd replied to truefusion's topic in General Discussion
I really wish ATI would release drivers for their graphics cards for PPC machines on linux. I really love beryl but I can't run it on my desktop. -
Well uh I didn't think you were actually going to use my avatar Mine was pretty bad as pointed out by SM. This thread was more about the idea to give it one. I think you should get one of the people on the gfx crew to make a better one.

Well I'd have to go with the Microsoft programmers at fault here. I'm not really sure what else you want us to say other than that's what computers do. Computers are designed to do a broad number of tasks, and the broader they are designed the more flaws they could have. When is the last time that your microwave got a BSoD? Thats because It only is designed to have limited tasks and it is programmed very well to do those tasks. Also: klusk, quote those posts fast before the admins catch you. http://faq.programmerworld.net/pc/10-reaso-pcs-crash.html.

Well you are all forgetting that the "light" version of the forums (I think thats what it is called) still has ads on it which is usually what google links to and not what our members see. If you think about it the way they have it now is the best. The members aren't overrun with ads on the forums, but guests to the forum see relevant ads and click on them to make xisto money. The way you are talking leads me to believe you are talking about ads on our trap homepages, this is not what the topic is about, it is about ads in the forums not on your website. I don't really see the problem with having ads on the forums, and I don't really see why that would make anybody leave.

So you are suggesting that I should of course give you the credits so you could organize the competition?
-
I know you have a ton of forums in that list already but haslip will bring it up if I don't: AEF. It's actually the best free php forum I've seen. Link: http://anelectron.com/

HAhahaha These are hilarious keep up the good work. So far here are the top 3: sonesay's offer still seems pretty good and very creative! That number is 2 digits too short... there was no answer Don't forget, I'm evil and don't care about Michael Jackson's disease, but I may send you .000001 credits to stop global warming. Oh wait there's no such thing
-
I want more creative reasons. So far KansukeKojima's reason is the most creative. Lets go, make it up if you have to, just don't say "i need this for my hosting". Tell me that the doctors gave you 5 hours to live and your dying wish are those 20 credits. Go go go!

I used to be in the marching band for my high-school and we had to march 4 miles for the fiesta bowl which ended up being way over 2 hours. Try marching while playing an instrument. It is much harder.

Alright, like the title says, I'm giving away 20 credits, which is all I've got at the moment and I am going to once again terminate my hosting. For those who care my reasons for terminating it are thus: 1. I forgot my password and I don't think its worth paying the 10 credits to get it 2. I would change my Xisto subdomain and 25 credits (10 creds for password and 15 for subdomain) is almost the same ammount of getting new hosting anyway 3. Not even using my hosting, I got it for opaque's birthday (happy-birthday-opa-que.trap17.com) which is long over anyway SO because of all of this I'm giving away the 20 credits that I have and then terminating my hosting. So instead of just giving it away to random people, I will make people work for it because I am evil! Bwahahaha!!! So uh how will I be giving away these 20 credits? Well I will be giving it away to one of the repliers of this thread. Now don't spam or anything because the mods will have my neck for that. I will be giving away the 20 credits to the person who writes the best reason of why they should have the 20 credits. Now don't be dull and say you just need it for the hosting, and don't beg either because I won't give it to you for that. I would like to read some truly creative story like "My aardvark ate my homework and now I don't have any time to post on Xisto anymore". The longer and more creative your story is the more likely you will get the 20 credits! Good Luck! EDIT: No clear winner yet, credits are upped to 25!! EDIT: Sonsay won the 25 credits. Competition is over.
