back in myhay days of designnig i saw alot of website doing the shtml format before php and asp came into full. if people still use especially in php would it be still higly recommended to drp shtml and go stright to php or implement shtml into php or html doc?

how far is going to far to make sure to get those 90 billion hits a day on your website. if your creative with your scripting and it makes the user looking at your page happy ok that fine and dandy. but if you add all thos high speed tricks to your website like making text flash 6000 different pop up adds per click . but for me if its a useful trick like making text pop up if a person wants to know more that cool but if you add like ten different ways to navagate around the website again that my piece im sticking with it

ok i would believe this would be the biggest topic of all time where does the copyrights for any scripting excluding software start and were does it end.its amazing how people can say their html is copyrighted when a few million designers use the same thing, pictures understandale but not html, cgi, javascript, php, asp and all those other scripting related things.yeah starting webdesign i took some ideas or plane out copyed the whole page just to get a understanding of it but still.. oh i could swing it the whole other way and say i might be wrong and its www protocal which i highly doubt that.for all te javascripts that i see or used thiers alot of copyrighting going on and where credit due yeah some maybe orginal or simple to do but still when some crazy webdesigner is finding his layout all over the net saying they will press changes or some *BLEEP* like that can blow it out my *bottom*.so i SAY SCREW WWW COPYRIGHTING IN ALL ITS FORMS

biggest question i have is setting up a forum set like here on Xisto.com of all the ones that i have seen they expect you to pay over 200-300 just to get their board i seen some decent free ones to so my first question would be1. which scripting would i use cgi, php, asp, dhtml, my sql2. where do i start with when designing the that forum is well.3. which would be more convenant to set up as well.
