  1. I love the intro/main page, think it looks great. Although going from that really modern smart look, then gives the forum an amateur look and feel. They look good apart from each other but put them side by side like they are and they just don't work well together. In my personal opinion, one of them needs to be changed. Which is a shame as both are great. Its going to be a tough choice for whoever has to make that final decision.
  2. Good grammar must have something to do with it all. Also I remember if I heard it here or on the sister forums but someone stated that the searchability had something to do with it. If you well phrased and documented your reply/post well then it would come up on google etc.Dont quote me on this, I may be completely wrong.
  3. Second time ive looked now. Does state 'still working on this project so sometimes it may be offline or dead on GameTracker'.
  4. Good explanation. People have a knack of associating things eg, with Santa Clause being fat, in a red suit and climbs down chimneys but that whole idea was made up by Coke Cola for a TV adverts years ago. Since then everyone has stuck with and used that 'image' for the big guy. I guess its the same thing here. Like Illustrious said, people resemble the heart with love, pain etc.
  5. This is class. Nice find. Will be interesting to see whats coming next. With a time with soo many countries in soo much trouble financially, its nice that people are still doing things like this.
  6. Completely agree. Everyone knows about .co.nr, .uni.cc, .tf etc. People know that these are used because the Webmaster doesnt want to pay money for a proper domain. If you have to use these, they should only be used for testing or personal websites that dont need to have the 'professional look'. At less than ÂŁ5 for a .co.uk domain or ÂŁ10 for a .com for a year, its hardly worth getting a free domain that will be slow, have pop ups if not proper ads and downtime will be also be an issue.
  7. Good points and bad points from each.. However if they are checking each website themselves then i suppose this could help. Dont forget Mcafee is only one of the pieces of software that is used this day and age. Also another thing to remember, alot of people hate Mcafee and would never use the program.
  8. Hey guys & gals.I was wondering if anyone would be happy enough to make a tutorial of how to make & design a fully working affiliate system. Thanks in advance

  12. How strange to read the hope's of a gamer from 6 years ago!. Tech moved soo far since then. Will be interesting to see what we will using to game in the next 6 years! Could all be V.R (virtual reality) by then.
  13. Yeah the pictures are only rumour, although there have been a few that were shown at one of the gaming conventions. To be honest, Sony will probably show off many designs upto release day. I wouldnt mind two of the design's, just dont like the middle one, too much like a pc
  14. Thanks Quatrux. I must have spent hours looking for that. Tried everything, forums, help sections, FAQ's but was nowhere for be found Thanks again.

  16. Forgot to add, this is my first ever 'review' so please give some feedback Not sure how informative or on the subject i am :oThanks again
  17. After signing up yesterday, the most of my time on Xisto has been spent surfing around and finding out what people's interests are, what are the main area's that this 'communities' forum is and how much people have to know what's going on. If anyone here is like me, we have to know the latest on all technology out there as soon as humanely possible. It was after this I realised how many people here are interested in Gaming but yet there is not one topic about what every gamer wants to know about: The 7th Generation, Sony Playstation four. Well as you will all know out there, until something is fiscally released by Sony anything and everything is only a rumour and might never happen. So all of the following will be rumour and rumour only. For this reason please don't take everything here as complete fact. I will where I can quote back to the people or the website/s that I have gained the information to compile this report on possibly the best console to date. What we do know is that Sony like to continue traditions and have been releasing console updates/upgrades every six years: 1994, 2000 and 2006. Meaning if they are going to keep this going, we will be expecting a new release sometime in Autumn 2012. Sometime last year (2010) the Crytek CEO said they are going to release their CryEngine 3 together with Playstation four, (CryEngine 3 is an all in one game development solution made by Crytek for state-of-the-art graphics and 3D gaming), which has caused a few problems for Playstations 'father' Ken Kutaragi after Crytek said After this being a dead end, I had a look around to who else is involved with the console makers and turned to the biggest of game developers: Ubisoft and EA Games. Murray Pannel said we should expect both Playstation and Xbox to be released as late as 2013 due to new tech like the Kinnect system and Move still only being new gadgets. These could have both been an attempt at keeping fans happy while each company battle out to make the ultimate console. Many pictures and stats about number four have been plastered all over the net which only make the anticipation so much worse. Some of the more realistic pictures have been included for your drooling pleasure. Other area's for development that Sony might try is combining their Brava TV range with the console of the time. This was tried before when Playstation Two was the hype of the day. Sony BRAVIA KDL22PX300 incorporated a PlayStation 2 console. Released in 2010, the unit also featured a 22 inch 720p screen and 4 HDMI ports. One thing we do know is that the hardware inside the new console will be immense! With Playstation three containing a 320GB hard disk drive, 3.2 GHz CPU, 4GB cache, Nvidia G70 graphics and Sony's pride and joy.. The XrossMediaBar (XMB) operating system. As for the price, we can expect anything in the region of £299 - £425. Both PS1 & PS2 were released brand new with a price of £299, so with the clear difference from PS2 to PS3, we can be pretty sure PS4 will be priced at the higher end of this scale.
  18. http://www.sms-messaging-hub.com/ This is another on of these Internet to phone sms services. It works on the text message containing a small paragraph stating that the message was sent from (whatever name was entered) and using the cbfsms service. There are however a few disadvantages to this service. One is that on each and every text you send there is a captcha, which i suppose is expected on a service like this. Secondly, their uptime on sending text messages is rather unpredictable. There have been days when hundreds are messages could have been sent and others where you are lucky to get two sent!. However, its always one for the bookmarks list. You never know when you might need a text message sent, but have no phone, credit etc.
  19. This is a great website which has saved me alot of money over the last year. https://www.myvouchercodes.co.uk/ is a website that allows anyone to submit vouchers/discount codes etc to a database for all to use. Other members/admins/mods confirm or decline that such codes work or not to save the time of average Joe Bloggs. You'll be able to find codes for anything. Nearly every UK company that does any form of offer and you will find them on here. Theres currently a beta service running as we speak that allows users to print off vouchers and use them in the corrisponding shops. Hope it can be as much use to all you out there as it has been for me
  20. Can these software packages be implimented to give premimum customers personal email accounts from your website?Does this then mean that each persons email account will then be hosted on your space? Using disk space and brandwith from whatever hosting package you currently use? Or do they run from the owner (eg..Squirrelmail, will host each persons email account and will be deducted from their disk space and brandwith)? Thanks in advance for all help

    Some Scripts

Why try and make a forum when there are loads of great scripts already made out there ready for use? Invision Board, phpBB, myBB etcI would imagine, you want this in php & mySQL? On the news script part.. Are you just after something that will be displayed on the home page which you can add news to from the admin panel? On the Admin panel part.. What exactly are you wanting to do? Why do you need a user edit? Are you needing a register page and DB for these users? Please advise.. Will be more than happy to help
  22. Hopefully i have put this in the right forum! Anyway, im in the process of making a new website and wanting to know a little on some tech im thinking of implenting into it. One of the things ive noticed over the years is that people are using Social Networks and the mobile internet alot more than ever before. This means anyone wanting to start a website these days has such a harder start than ever before. Websites have to be constantly updated and have the latest tech to keep people interested or to keep you one step ahead of the competition. On this theory, ive decided that i must make a mobile friendly site that could possibly be used on touch screen phones. Does anyone know how this can be done? What software is best to use? I dont mind how much the software costs etc, I just require that it is user friendly and great for beginers! All help is greatly appriciated, thanks in advance!
  23. Ive been with Inbox.com for around 3 years now and they have always been unreal in the customer relations department. Offered me a larger inbox when mine was filled (free of charge), constant back-ups (once all emails were deleted by mistake and they loaded the back up within 2 hours) As for the problem.. Unable to make an account.. Im not sure if this is still the case but if it is, they are similar to GMail and provide current customers with referal codes. If anyone requires one, dont hesitate to ask .
