Are you talking about the graphic or the command-line session?
If you have been logged out from an inactive command-line session, you should have a look at your timeout settings.
Just type the following :

set | grep -i out
and look at the values this displays for the TMOUT or TIMEOUT shell variable.

Same LogOut issueLinuxmint 11 Os Logout Issue

I was burning a Linux disc and checking the Updates and all of a sudden I was at the Log In screen. This is 2 times today! Using Linux Mint 11 with Gnome (Ubuntu based)

yea if this issue keeps happening i will have to shift to LMDE... i would like to see how good it's roll out updates go... i've been reinstalling everytime there's a Mint release, just like how i use to when with Ubuntu. Eventhough now you can upgrade versions, you'd more likely to stumble upon more glitches and issues compared to a fresh install.
