Flash Banner Ad What do you call this kinda ad?

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I am desperately looking for a tutorial to make flash banner ads like the ones on the star online(top banner)

http://www.thestar.com.my/

How it works is that upon mouse over the banner will open up to a bigger banner and when you roll out it will show the original banner. I need some help.. i just need to know what are those banners called so i can google up some tutorials.

If you guys can guide me thru here that will be fantastic! =D

thanks in advance guys!

Well the non animation part sounds really simple. I mean how hard can it be to make it so theres an image, and when you scroll over a different image takes its place? I don't know it just sounds really simple to me. I don't know any coding or anything but I but someone who does will be able to tell you easily. Also when I clicked the link the top banner changed. So it might be hard to explain to people what your talking about especially if they click the link and its no longer there.

i don't see anything that makes the banner enlarge. when i run the mouse over a particular part, part of the image pulsates. that is it. maybe you can give a better example because i don't think the one you gave is what you are talking about. there seems to be a difference...
