Common Questions

Yes. We require SSH root or sudo access to manage your server effectively. We use key-based authentication only (no passwords), and all access is logged. If your provider supports it, we can also work through a jump host or VPN.

We manage all major Linux distributions — Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux, and RHEL. We also support FreeBSD. Windows server management is available on Enterprise plans upon request.

We never say no. If the work falls outside your plan's scope — for example, debugging application code or building a deployment pipeline — we'll still help. For small tasks, we do it as a courtesy. For larger work, we create an invoice and get it done. You'll always get a quote before any billable work begins.

Most hosting providers offer basic support — they'll reboot your server or check if the network is up. Xisto managed support goes far deeper: we proactively harden security, tune performance, apply patches, monitor services, and respond to emergencies as if your server were our own. You're getting a senior infrastructure engineer, not a help desk agent.

Absolutely. We'll audit your current server configuration, document everything, and take over management seamlessly. The onboarding process includes a full security audit, performance baseline, and monitoring setup — typically completed within 48 hours.
