tritesh 1 Report post Posted February 6, 2018 I install dual boot Fedora over windows 7 installed previously in my system. My all fedora partitions are in LVM . Then I used EasyBCD to create entry of fedora into windows bootloader. EasyBCD use Grub4Dos. Now, when I tried to boot from Fedora system, it stuck at Grub prompt instit of booting into Fedora. So, help me to fix this error. Thanks
yordan 10 Report post Posted February 6, 2018 Did you try to boot from the Fedora install disk, as far as I remember there is a menu repairing the boot problems.
rvalkass 5 Report post Posted March 1, 2018 Windows 7 is a complete pain when it comes to getting the bootloader working. Currently I only have Fedora options in GRUB; to boot into my Windows partition I have to repeatedly hit F8 during boot and select it as a completely separate boot device. Any other way and Windows kept overwriting and corrupting GRUB in various interesting ways.
yordan 10 Report post Posted March 1, 2018 I would suggest you to try the "Fix GRUB2" section in the document below : https://www.dedoimedo.com/computers/dual-boot-windows-7-centos-7.html Optionally, you can even choose on which OS your system will boot as described in https://pario.no/2014/10/28/change-default-grub-startup-in-centos-7/ Regards Yordan
