yordan 10 Report post Posted February 15, 2013 I think that GDDR5 are for graphic adapters. However, I expected KVR1333D3N9 to be a DDR3 one.

However, I expected KVR1333D3N9 to be a DDR3 one. i know its DDR3 and the reason i bid/purchased it is because i already have one, was aiming at dual channel setup... DDR5 Motherboard RAM doesn't exist (yet)i'm hoping the seller will refund my $$ because i am still going to get another 4GB KVR module
iGuest 3 Report post Posted February 16, 2013 DDR5 memory doesn't exist yet for motherboards and I see no reason why it'd be created for motherboards at this stage. Their timing is not even comparable to DDR3 modules which still outperform it.So what does the label tell you about the memory and what chips are on it?Trying to understand this KVR1333D3N9/4G, Kingston Value Ram, 1333MHz DDR3 CL9 / 4GB or maybe the D3 could stand for PC3, but either way it is DDR3.Any details from the listing since you bought it off trade me. This should have information on the type of module it is. The most likely cause is that it is faulty and they don't really want to deal with it. Was it bought new or used? Was it from a reputable dealer?Cheers,MC
