manuleka 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2013 playing a few of these co-op games with my brothers1. Lara Croft and the Guardian of the Light2. Lego Lord of the Ring3. Blur4. Dirt 35. etc...now is there a way of forcing these games to run two players on separate screens instead of split screen on HD 7850?
iGuest 3 Report post Posted February 6, 2013 Hi manuleka,Explain your setup. Usually these games were not developed for multiple displays, but it could be possible to set up, dual monitors that could possibly seperate their position at the split in the game so that it could appear to be on seperate screens. The only problem is, you'd have to customise it for each game.Cheers,MC

Ahsaniqbalkmc 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2013 I am also quite interested in the topic. So @manuleka, I am looking forward for what you have to say about it.
manuleka 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2013 SoftTH and Eyefinity will split most games (haven't tried this myself) between the screens, what i'm more interested in is splitting players screens - as if each player is running on a different machine (although split by Video Card)
yordan 10 Report post Posted February 11, 2013 So, you would have your single-computer in a standalone two-player game behave like two persons on two computers in a network game.
Ahsaniqbalkmc 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2013 So, you would have your single-computer in a standalone two-player game behave like two persons on two computers in a network game.According to what I understood from the discussion of @manuleka, he is just trying to spread the split screen mode on two monitors in such a way that each player has a bigger and better viewing experience. So basically the final effect would be that both players will have their own screens but their controllers would still be connected to the same controller and they would still have to face the gameplay limitations of split-screen games.I remember playing "Kane and Lynch: Dead men" as a split screen game with my brother. Unlike most split screen games I have played, which only have the vertical split screen mode, this game also had the horizontal split screen mode. That is, the screen is divided horizontally into two compartments, one belonging to each player. Now consider a setup where two similar monitors with same resolution are connected to a computer in such a way that they behave as one single large monitor. Combine this with the horizontal split-screen mode mentioned above, and you would get a nice gaming environment where both players have their own monitors. Because of the same resolution of the monitors, the split-part of the screen has to fall between the two monitors (near the combining bezels) and thus each player can have their own complete view in a separate monitor. This is just a theory. I have never tried it so its just my imagination.........

Ahsaniqbalkmc 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2013 You should give a try to the horizontal split-screen mode with eyefinity (I am assuming that you have all the necessary hardware for the testing). And let us know how things went for you..
