Using Iphone As A Webcam For Windows 7

Recommended Posts

I am not too much familiar with Iphone platforms. There is two type of possibilities to use Iphone as webcam. First one is that we can use hardware interfacing by installing drivers and client application on our PC. But it is hard to find/create drivers until unless it is provided by manufacturer.Second one is Web interfacing or using Application on our smartphone. Since there are lots of applications are available at application store and are easier to use. On http://www.idownloadblog.com/2010/06/01/how-to-turn-your-iphone-into-a-webcam/ http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ of such type of application and their use are explained . You can try those.Really I do not think so that You would be able to use your cam for messengers like yahoo, google talk etc.And of-course I also curious to know about hardware interfacing through USB or anything else like just plug and play. If you would able to create or find those Please share with us.

So, I am a lucky man. When I plug my phone to my PC USB, the phone asks me if I want to use the "webcam" mode, and when I say yes, Windows 7 detects it and installs the driver, and I can use it with Skype. Seems quite obvious, but not does not work the same way on each smartphone?
