Why Does Installation Process Of Programs Install Ask And Utorrent Tool Bars?

Recommended Posts

I've recently re-installed Windows XP on my PC and as usual, i always install VLC, Winamp, uTorrent, Foxit Reader, iTunes, MagicDisc, Google Chrome, Opera etc...while installing some of those programs, like Winamp, Foxit Reader, uTorrent they ask if i would like to install toolbars which probably has something to do with their sponsors or something (my guess)...now i always opt out of it... but when i fire up IE they always pop up on the top... why do these programs install these toolbars against my selection and preference?or maybe i don't really read the installation instructions properly?

I usually read the installation tips and options and never had a problem, I always don't install those kind of toolbars, which as I understand gives them a little profit, but anyway, from the programs you listed, I never got a toolbar installed, so it could be the trick that you checked the checkbox to not install it, or to install the toolbar :DOr on some programs you need to go advanced or something like that to deselect those toolbars.
