i reckon it will actually cause some problems unless they put a filter on (although some people would no how to remove it).cos i can see when ur sitting behind someone, youll be looking at their porn or they'll be playing games.its probably going to wreck the school, no one would learn anything or do anything because they would be playing games like they already do but thats only in a class where they are on the computers.

That's pretty basic mathematics imho. Just wait until you start working with integrals, summations, matrices ... takes a lot longer to write those on a laptop (I'll post some of my maths notes when I'm at home ).

okay, I might have forgotten we were talking about children . But I honestly still think that giving laptops to children isn't such a great idea, even tough computers are taking over the world, writings skills are still more important imho.

laptop on school? laptop on each kid.. unlikely. having laptop is nice.. but i just like it to be in a computer lab or in the library or at home. one thing is for sure, i dont want my kid to be looking like a geek, watching porn all day and chatting nonsense during his free time. yup, they say that exposure to technology could give an edge.. isnt the labs, libs and home pc good enough? whats wrong with books? environmentally not friendly???? this is just one of those too much commercialization of corporations and tech fanatics that dont know much of early childhood development..

I don't think anyone gets how crap these computers are. They have some mesh wifi internet, of which the bases are probably filtered. They don't have any games on, I wasn't even aware users could keep documents on it, but there was something about supposed to 'hack', to recode the open source stuff on it.
