smyke89 0 Report post Posted December 18, 2006 How can i get more viewers to my site ? which are the best ways... link exchange ? affiliate programs ? and which ones ?please help me in this matter...
pyost 0 Report post Posted December 18, 2006 Actually, none of those "exchange" programs can really help you. The only thing that can help you attract visitors is the site itself. If your site is like thousands of others (for example a technology forum), who would visit it when the other ones are probably better?Create something that people need, and don't have it yet. I know it is a hard task, since almost everything exists - so try to mimic some other site, but make it better. Innovate. Keep it up to date. And if it's good, you won't be worrying about visitors - you';; be worrying about bandwidth
twitch 0 Report post Posted December 18, 2006 I basically agree with pyost.Keep your visitors happy, and they might talk about your site on their blog or even to their friends (if it's good enough). Remember not to overload your site with ads.Provide updated content and remember to reply to any comments you get on your site (if it's got a blog).Remember, a little goes a long way. Adding a bit of content every other day or week is a hell of a lot better than a tonne of content every month.

Adding a bit of content every other day or week is a hell of a lot better than a tonne of content every month. Google, Google, Google... your only key to sure success on the internet. I have experienced it with most of my sites. Though I am not good at search engine optimization, but some of my sites have behaved real well with Google and they have been overly successful. Some others that could not make it on Google, never got successful. So I think do a good study on search engine optimization and then get going with implementing it on your site.If you want to go for passive publicity, make sure your visitors are always happy and they use word of mouth to spread the name of your website. Also you need to follow different approaches for different kind of website content. If your website is service oriented, then passive publicity is very very important. If your website is content oriented then you must and must make sure that it is well indexed on all the major search engines.
ginginca 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2006 How can i get more viewers to my site ? which are the best ways... link exchange ? affiliate programs ? and which ones ?please help me in this matter... The key mistake that most online entrepreneurs make is the same one that offline entrepreneurs make ... they launch a business without first researching the market. The most successful online businesses are ones that solve a problem that people are already looking for a solution to (and a solution that is hard to find or doesn't exist.)THIS is what I call a niche business. To find out if there is a market for your business use tools like overture and keyword tracker to find out how many people are potentially looking for what you have to offer. Word tracker assigns a value between the number of searches and the number of sites serving those keywords. You'll be looking for a KEI of at least 100.If you're wanting to purchase traffic, the best solution is google adwords. But if this is done wrong, you can expect to pay a lot of money for those clicks. (It isn't as easy as a lot of sites promise.)If you launch an affiliate program for your site, don't expect to get affiliates to sign up if you aren't successful on your own already.Be sure to also use Google Analytics if you aren't. You need to track your conversions. Your conversion rate is how many people take action. In most cases "take action" is to purchase whatever you are selling. The most "generic" form of traffic that works for online business is YOUR LIST. If you don't yet have one, start a NON SPAM opt-in email list. Keep in touch with these contacts regularly. I don't know what you have already done, how competitive your keywords are, or even how old your site is, but hopefully I have given you some information that you can act on.The offers that you see to "drive traffic overnight" etc don't tend to work. You need qualified traffic.
kgd2006 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2006 The only real way for you to get vistors to your site is through finding ways to lure your audience. You have to first know who you want to target though. But if you want viewers to visit your websit my the masses. You could always manage a porn site, haha...But all to put all jokes to the side, like what another member have said you have to have people talking about what you have marketed on your website for more traffic to come through. If you can get a few people talking then you can eventually create a snow ball effect creating a flow of traffic where you run into more vistors for your website. THen you would eventually end up with high traffic and no more bandwidth. ANd most likely you would leave Xisto to find someone that can offer you more bandwidth for the high traffic that you are recieving, where eventually you will end up paying for your hosted high traffic website. sujith 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2006 If you are into SEO.Don't go for link exchanges with very well known link farms that will affect your rankings.Find a community that is specific to the content you are serving with your site/ blog then talk about it there and give links.Ask your friends and relatives to bookmark your site in social bookmarking sites such as del.icio.us wink.com etc etcIf possible try to get "digged"

HellFire121 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2006 Basically why would people visit your site if another site has the same thing but better. So yeah as pyost said make your site attractive, neat and up to date providing information and other features (such as forums) to keep your visitors interested.I would say that just one ad would do if you are struggling. Don't you just hate sites that have advertising spam all over it?There's no point using link exchanges because they don't work. Also they are usually poorly designed sites that have taken part in the program. Take this for example. If you went to a poorly designed site, would you look around for a 'links' page or something similar? I personally wouldn't bother.I can also suggest that you look around at sites that are popular, look at what their doing and also look around at sites that aren't doing too well and see what their doing bad. This should give you an idea of what to do and what not to do to make a successful site.-HellFire
