Hi,

Last time, I was studiying the possibility to view a preview of several webpages. I finally find a smart tool : url2bmp (http://www.pixel-technology.com/freeware/url2bmp/).

It's a simple executable which can be launch by command line (see my post "How to generate an image from a web server ?" on http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/)

Finally, there is too a new version of the application named url2jpeg : it includes a user interface, so it's more cool for unexperimented people but it require the Microsoft .NET Framework.

I hope it's help.

Good tool, it should help someone who don't want to go to site directly with browser, press print screen button and then paste it into some picture-editing software

Yeah it does seem like a good tool but i find no use for it, if you'd like previews of websites the new opera 9 has it, if you are loading up a tab you can hover the mouse over the tab and it will show a picture preview of the site, it's pretty good when you have a lot of tabs open, but yeah i don't really have any use for a tool like this, thanks for sharing though!-HellFire

Thanks for the share, is a nice tool. Very simple and effective, so i just add it to my arsenal of tools. In relation to url2jpeg, i try it too but definitely i prefer url2bmp, because the last one includes the same functionality and its free.

This is a pretty nifty tool. Thanks . But it would have been better if it automatically resized the image captured to the exact size of the website. The best thing is it outputs the entire page into a single file.

That is definitely very nice. Opera 9 does have something similar though, and I don't want to be downloading too many things, so I think I'll just stick to Opear. In any case, I thought Firefox also had an extension that was similar to this feature? I don't quite remember the name though.
