Which Is The Best P2P Client ?

Recommended Posts

I use eMule, it has so little virus that it makes Limewire and all that look like virus.com (which is incidentally anti-virus...but still). It also has NO SPAM and NO RANDOM ADS and it's free.-Aegis

SHAREAZA!

For all those still reading these posts, I now recommend Shareaza version 4 novices or version 2.3 for the more experienced.

Version 4 has an easy to use interface, looking similar to itunes and limewire. It still has all the classic shareaza features, like bittorrent and the Gnutella and Edonkey networks, and not to mention the in built media player which lets you preview files whilst downloading, and which I also find extremely handy rather then having to open itunes or windows media everytime I want to play a song.

I've been using ARES. I have had no problems for over 2 years, no viruses, adware, or spyware. Some files download quick others very slow, it depends on the users not the program. If 30 people have the same file, the system dowloads from all of them for lightning speed, but it can also be very slow coming from a single source. Lately, downloads remain "in queue" for a long period then loose the connection. So I'm also looking for other programs but I will not be deleting ARES from my sytem. -Dewey

Christine, legal or not relies on you.
If you paid for a software, it's legal to download it from anywhere by all means.
If you didn't give money to the guy who created the software, using shareza in order to downlad it is illegal. ;)
Now, concerning the virus and spiwares, this fully depends from your provider. Some servers offer pirated software, and inside the software you get a lot of spywares or sometime viruses. This is also part of the anti-piracy war.
So, the problem is not inside shareza, the problem is which software you download from where. :P

Well people, don't argue too much about the issue. The most important thing about p2p program is that it must be free and fast. That's it, no more questions! And the only p2p client that has this feature is "FROSTWIRE".-reply by Keizo Shimaru

Usenet is not free... Only a few ISP gives free access to it.ISPs here in denmark (and the most of EU) dosent give free accsess to it.So what do you do... Download a free P2P program ofcourse. There is Cabos P2P its not fast but uses 4 gnutella engines. Its really an lightweight prog. And complete without malware. Its opensourse and compleatly free.Ares is one of the good ones if you ask me.Bearshare dosent use so much CPU use than limewire...But I dosent really know it to speak about it.I had tryed Limewire basic/pro and think its dosent find alot of what I'm searching for, however it finds alot of small (under 2 mb)fake files that dosent have something with my search to do or even worse can be malware.Programs like Kazaa and Morpheus sucks both... Thats itAnd remember to have an good antivirus BEFORE downloading an P2P!RegardsAdministrator http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ by MWS-admin

I've tried almost every p2p client.. But it's hard to point out which is the best p2p software.

Vuze is great but uses too much system memory. Well this one's cool, especially for downloading movies ...

Limewire, Frostwire & Mp3 Rocket are good for downloading music...

Utorrent & Bit torrent are light and uses very little system memory. Easy to use and fast... Highly recommended...

Still there are lots  of other good p2p softwares but most of them don't have enough peers and  download speeds are inconsistent..

The surest & best way to speed up your downloading (100% guaranteed) is to get a/txtmngr/images/smileys/smiley4.Gif faster connection /txtmngr/images/smileys/smiley4.Gif. The good thing about P2P is you can always get the latest stuff...
