blackfox 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2007 I think that if you really want to understand something you have to approach it from different sides. So to be a good webmaker, you have to have some understanding in hacking the stuff. It learns you how to secure you're site better and probably to spot hackers faster. So hacking can be used in the good way.Hacking sites with bad intensions, is in my opinion, a fairly bad thing to do. Dalv87 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2007 but but hacking is bad :-o"Hacking" the way most people think of it (with the common definition probably being something along the lines of "breaking into someone else's computer to take their data for the purpose of stealing their identity, selling private information to other people, stalking, committing a crime, or something similar") is bad, yes. Having hacking abilities isn't bad at all though, knowing how to hack (knowing anything about computers really) makes it easier to learn more about computers, and hacking, like others have said, is the only way to stop malicious hacking, otherwise it'd be like trying to design an alarm system for a house without thinking at all about how a burglar might try to get. MediYama 0 Report post Posted July 7, 2007 Wow, I love this site. It's useful to learn HTML and PHP, and it's fun too. I'm now at mission four, and I can't come further now, lol. Great site 10/10.
lonelym 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2007 Yes, HackThisSite.org is a good site wherein you can find most loopholes which are found in websites. HackThisSite.org doesn't encourage hacking. It encourages people to learn from the loopholes and to be able to prevent them.
mattpa23 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2007 (edited) yeah it is a good site and i also admit that i use to try to hack for cash and every thing but i never did get any thing out of it and now i reckon it was a waste of time its illegal and sites with any thing to do with cash are gonna be very hard to hack no doubt about that cause if u did u could make your self a milloiner so they have high security and of course most kids do try hacking cause they reckon its cool well its not some people are paid to hack for cash but not for fun like they might get fun out of it but its there job like when microsoft released vista they posted in large font on there site microsoft welcomes hackers once again cause they were paying people to hack vista and make cracks and keygens and all that kind of stuff and if u did hack it or wat eva they would pay u in return for ur help and if u told them how to so they could fix it any way this site would be hard to hack any way but i encorge no 1 to hack it cause this site is great it can be helpful for all u people out there and i dont want some kid to hack it and wreck it which would be really impossilbe unless they knew alot about it. Also kids reckon hacking is getting acces to some thing u shouldn't have and if ur reading this and knowing thats u just stop hacking and do some thing worth with ur life cause if ur gonna waste ur time trying to hack thinking its that then its not worth it just think about wat u could have ahead of ur life! tforce 0 Report post Posted July 28, 2007 Love the site! Really nice brain teaser you've got there. Agree that its not necessary for a hacker to be bad person, just as not all men with guns and knives are evil. Its just how we manage our knowledge in hacking. For me, i started learning hacking to hack into porn sites for free porn. I know thats bad, so now i write security codes for my brother's company instead. superJazz 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2008 Hacking in itself isn't bad: It's the things that you do with your knowledge of the subject that is. A guy went and reverse engineered some Lego software a few years back and fixed some bugs in the software, and Lego employed him to do that with all of their software. That is a example of hacking at is best. Sadly, people use to earn money and gain control of PC's and nick personal details etc. That is why people think that hacking is bad. Feelay 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2008 hah.. hackthissite can be REALLY annoying sometimes. Sometimes it takes hours, even days, to figure out how to complete a level.Sometimes really frustating. But it is also very fun. I've learned alot from it. (stuck at level 6 or 7, dunno, on the basic mission ).But as someone said a very long time ago hacking is a way to find exploits. And since the first day I've been searching for noob exploits on every website I enter. But OFC, I don't use them Normally I tell the site administrator. The funniest thing is, that theese noob level things, are very normal when a new html/php programmer wants to create a site

Atomic0 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2008 Hey,I have registered to http://www.hackthissite.org/ but in its any challenge they ask for password. But that is not my account password. So what to type there? Please help. For the challenges, you are supposed to find the password that is preventing you from passing the challenge, not your account password . If you are stuck on any of the challenges, you can choose to get help from other people or search Google for solutions (link not provided). On the issue of the legal side of things, hacking something without permission from the owner is illegal, but HackThisSite.org is legal because the owners have given you permission for you to try and hack through the challenges they have built. iGuest 3 Report post Posted September 6, 2008 SH Log Master Hack This Site Hey, got a new Greasemonkey script to help you stay hidden. When you are on Slave Hack and this script is enabled, anytime you view any Logfile on the site it will be automatically copied to your computers clipboard and deleted from Slave Hack so no one else can see it. This is absolutely the FASTEST way to get info from Logs, while at the same time Editing the Logfile so you are the only one to see it. If you want it, you can install it at http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Enjoy! -reply by Fred
