Poker Anyone?

So yeah, Poker is my life, it's what i live for pretty much, my only source of happiness (And the terror from the terrible losses)but i'm dissappointed to find no thread about poker!so does anyone play poker online or am i the only one in this whole forum!?personally i consider it a sport as there's competition involved (requiring mental strength)with the recent growth in Poker due to televised poker scence and the world series of poker. i'm sure poker can be a worthwhile topic to discuss about?which are your favourite sites to play on and do you play for fun or to win?

I don't play online, but I play with friends and go to the local casino boats a couple times a year. Way I see it, if I loose $100 twice a year, big deal. Cheap entertainment since we go for an entire day. Last time at the boat I walked off with $1,400 from poker and black jack. I was upto about 2000 at once point. Figured when I got to $1000 it was time to leave. I've tried playing online, but just not the same to me. It lacks the human element that makes the real thing a thrill.

I remember playing some of those poker games online, but it was just for fun. Don't recall the name of the sites now...been a while.I actually never played poker in a casino before. Only went to them a few times but never sat down and played a hand or two. It's really intense, even when I'm not the one that's playing it. See people throwing in money like it's nothing LOL. One day, I will try this out. Just don't want to get hooked on it

I'm terrible at Poker :DEspecially that one on television that plays a lot. It's called like Texas Hold Up or something. That is so hard on me!! At least normal Poker, if it has a name, is giving me a chance to win. Got 1 royal flush once too haha. But yeah, it's an enjoyable game, but only as real life playing cards, not online game stuff. More fun playing it in real life

I play a lot of online poker. I use PokerStars.com : home of the 2003 and 2004 wsop champ. I find it works well to watch poker and see how the pros play. Its pretty much awesome.

I am not much of a poker player. It is fun to play tournaments with friends, but I don't play it in the casinos. I always hit up the Blackjack tables at the casinos. I usually end up winning about $100-$300 on the blackjack tables, so that is what I stick to.

Where I live, there are no casinos or anything and poker itself it's not really popular, however, I play (for free) on pokerstars.net... Either or, just by watching the WPT and the WSOP you know that it's not the real deal (Starting on the fact that when the chips are free people make VERY stupid bets that they would NEVER do on a game where there was money on the line.Either way, I've got some friends together and every once in a while we play a couple of hands for quite smaill amounts of money. So... you are not alone the only poker lover around here... :-)

I love poker as well! I like playng it with my family the most because even if one of us loses we're not giving away anything! Do any of you play poker while betting with real money? With my familly I, we bet with fake plastic chips. I don't really feel comfortable playing with realy money, especially with my friends.

My friends and I used to have a poker night every week when we were young as single, but as we grew older and had families it became difficult to get together. With what the game of poker means to us, we needed an outlet.  Now we play poker online to make up for the time lost.
