Microsoft Piracy Giant - Microsoft Supports Piracy Microsoft using cracked illegal software

Recommended Posts

Microsoft Sound files were founded to be edited with a Cracked Software copy of SoundForge.Dont belive me ???You can check that yourself by opening any file in the [Windows location]/Help/Tours/WindowsMediaPlayer/Audio/Wav folder in notepad or other editors of your choice and looking at the last line. There you will find a reference to SoundForge 4.5 and also a user called ‘Deepz0ne’ who happens to be one of the founders of an audio software cracking group called Radium.”BINGO!

yep i can confrim this shocking news is true. it is however no secret that microsoft has little interest in consumer piracy only interest in the 'big guns' so to speak.i have screenshoted the proof so any doubters can be silenced (i was one at first)

Hehe slow down dudes; i dont like M$, but i know that in big companies it's a long way to buy an external tool; so many developers that *know* that the company will buy a license use cracks so they can use the tools months before the company has the license. Imagine: "Good news! Yes, we will buy the license for the tool which will help you to solve your perfomance problem! The licenses will be available in about three months!"What would you do as developper? Rollout is in one month... Right, astalavista baby... :)I think the same happened here, they just forgot to apply the real license. That shows to me that M$ does not "steel" other programs, they always bought other programs/ideas and made a good marketing with it, but they have a poor quality management;Cheers...JDrive

Not too surprising, though amusing. I remember when the news came out that they were using Firefox at Microsoft, they did not categorically deny it, just said they would not comment on it.I would use cracked software for evaluation purposes too if I had a deadline and did not have the licence ready, but then I am not a multi-billion dollar company. Nowadays, however, you really can't tell anymore what people will do.

I'm not surprised, and nor am I shocked. With all these keygenerator and authentication crack programs around I'm not surprised they have been used at big companies. In fact, I believe on the radio I heard that one-third of all commercially-used software (at least in the US at any rate) is pirated.

I doubt he didn't pay for licenses. After all, they wouldn't have been that expensive and I am sure they didn't need too many. It would have probably just been a few thousand dollars and bill gates probably earns that much in an hour.

Souls makes a very good point, a few licences for Sound forge arn't exactly going to break the bank for any major company even for a commercial licence we arn't talking huge amounts of money really. What would be interesting is if this crakcer licencenced it at M$ as he is an employee there... :)

Yes i agree also , It must have been a pre-license thing ... but even if Microsoft did use cracked software , I dont see why so many people are against the guy " bill gates " .. u might be against his OS ( that 85% of u use ) you might be against his browser ( that 80% of u use ) and u might be against his hotmail ( millions of users ) but what do u have against the guy , but also think of the things you love about his stuff .... first off the Xbox ...Windows 3.11 and Windows 95 ( **** DOS ) Microsoft Games Studio ... DirectX .... and so many more ...

Well, you can't really say too much about the XBox. I'm sure you realize that if Bungie made the next Halo for PS2, then not only would many PS2 owners buy the game but many XBox players would also buy a PS2. Similarly, if Halo were made for PS2 in the first place(I'm talking about the PS2 because it supports online play, unlike Nintendo's Gamecube), the XBox would essentially be left in the dust. And why do you say **** DOS? Before Windows came along, both DOS and OS/2 were quality operating systems. Nowadays everything is made easier because Windows has GUI.By the way, there's a big flaw in your argument. You seem to think people use Microsoft's software because it's good or that it's good because so many people use it...heh. Windows just supports a lot, Internet Explorer has a laughable amount of security holes, and Hotmail's service is definately not as good as Yahoo!'s or Google's. I wouldn't even use Windows Messenger, because when I see programs on freeware sites that offer to crack somebody's Hotmail through MSN in less than a minute, I know you should stay far, far away from it. Maybe Microsoft should stop working on Longhorn and fix what they've already broken.

Yeah actually, I have wondered that. Many crackers have been hired by big companies for their sometimes genious skills. But it could also be the reverse. The cracker might have worked for MS at the time and then left once the sound files had been created or he had finished programming some part of windows.

At mastermund , Sorry but I didn't clarify my point very well What I ment , is before starting to curse and blame bill gates and his company , first off change the tools ur using ... it's like someone who's throwing ppl with stones and he lives in a glasshouse .. ( old egyptian saying ) So before saying to hell with Microsoft .. first off switch to another OS ..and so on ,, why would you curse something that u still use ? is it bcuz it is more POPULAR or is supported by alot more companies ... ok then you won't change , then u dont need to blame anyone ..you have windows , linux with all it's distributions , that ibm OS/2 i think and even SUN is making thier own OS now .. so why are you ( I dont mean you in person , I am talking to the public in general ) still using Windows if u dont like it ?if you can't help it , then shutup and wait for something better or more supported and switch over. .. then and only then u can ***** about windows or microsoft that's why i mean .---I am talking about the Xbox in a more technical way not about game releases , It's a well known fact that Xbox has better graphics / performance compared to the PS2 ... if you read IGNs or GameSpys reviews for a game in Xbox then the same game but on the PS2 you usualy will see a lower graphics / sound score for the PS and a comment from the reviewer about the game developer " had to reduce the amount of polies / effects to smooth the framerate of the PS2 "that's what I am talking about making a Superior product with less experience about Game Consoles than Sony . ( considering Sony made the PSone ) .... speaking of consoles .. I really wish someone helps SEGA ... they canceled the dreamcast .. and sticked to releasing stupid games 9 mostly ) for other Consoles , this suck ,, SEGA used to be one of the dominators of the console market, I dont see why would they stop ...nm , hope I cleared my point now , sorry for the spelling mistakes and grammar errors .. but english is my 3rd language :)btw that avatar of yours is hallarious .
