jamesleon 0 Report post Posted October 5, 2004 Take your better decision.Windows is good to play and for the ones that pleases them to sacrifice the power by the facility. On the other hand linux is for all those that pleases them to learn and to obtain the greater power of its computer. And mac is an excellent one opcion for the ones that need proprietary software and power graphic. chimai 0 Report post Posted October 7, 2004 I have a mac Powerbook G4 laptop now, and I love it. Almost every single computer i've had with windows on it has either died or been messed up for unknown reasons. I love my mac! It didn't take much getting used to the switch from windows. Plus, and a BIG plus, the huge computer viruses that are out there do not work on macs! And I don't get any spyware, that I'm aware of. AHhh yes.

redsky 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2004 So, I really think there isn't no big difference... There are big big big differences. Mac is better then others computer for graphics and looking designed. It is good for making cool 3d animation and video editing.Linux is good for itâs own security and stability. (Which was come form Unix). It is free for everywhere to use. So we can make a good network without pay much money.Windows is popular for home using. Many users like it for creating simple text file or watching movie on it or surfing the net. This is very simple job to do with it. And it is very easy to learn it. But require more money to buy it. lhunath 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2004 Bull.Linux is just as easy as windows, windows is just as graphically powerful as mac, and as is linux. They're all just diffrent approaches to the same thing. What you state here is old. Mac used to be the best for graphic programs, but that was because of it's reputation, and because linux & windows hadn't many programs & support for that. They do now. That time is long gone, my friend.

daniel151405241469 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2004 Personally i like windows because it is easy to use, and considered standard. I tried installing linux one day on my old computer, but then that computer died :-(anyway i think that windows machines are more popular, i mean at my school there is only 1 mac computer, and its a teachers laptop (we always point and laugh at it). also i hate those mac computers with only 1 mouse button, i mean theres only 1 button! lhunath 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2004 Lol... of course Windows is more popular. And the main reason people use it is because they're used to it. Nothing else. Not because it's easier or more user friendly or faster or whatever.. =/
hast-webben 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2004 Hi, You forgot another important point. The most new PCs are "born" with some kind of MS Windows OS. When I got my first PC it was born with Win 3.11, my secound with win 98 and this one with 2000. And another point is MS has been poisened everywhere, at your job, your school...ect. I'm not quit sure if people had an fair choice they would had chosen windows at their first OS. I'm pretty sure that Linux would have a good chance to win this game. I'm not sure, but it just what I feel..:-) Cheers! Jens Lol... of course Windows is more popular. And the main reason people use it is because they're used to it. Nothing else. trinifawk 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2007 Some of the applications on the Mac are amazing. The whole iLife suite is great, and Garage Band is the best software that I know of that is for the amateur musician. Even though I think that it might be kind of hard to customize a Mac, it is a lot easier to have fun. I don't really play too much of those video games on the computer, and I don't really have too much patience to deal with linux, so I'd have to go with the Mac. By the way, I have a mac, and a pc, and I run Ubuntu Linux. I use the windows box when I'm at home, and when I'm in class, I use my Mac. If price wasn't a factor, I'd go with mac all the way, and dual boot with linux.
FirefoxRocks 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2007 I am running Windows XP Home Edition right now and I also have Ubuntu Linux installed, which I am using about 40% of the time.My first system was a Windows 98 computer, it was quite good at that time with 64MB of RAM.With all of my friends using Windows, there are some complications if I am using Linux and they are using Windows. My school uses Windows also, no OpenOffice.org there. That arises some complications also. But, I am patient to deal with other operating systems and propeitery software.
